I just received my white tarmac comp. Wheels are alpinist cl, challenge latex tubes and continental gp 5000 tires, saddle is fizik arione r1 and two black carbon fiber bottle cages for weight of 7.77 kilos (17 lb 2 oz). No other changes. It's the most fun bike I've ridden. I'm dialing in the fit now. It looks great.
Sharp! Looks just like my 2018 roubaix… means I can get away with a new frame and not get caught by my wife! Handlebar tape looks way better than I thought it would! I went with all black. Supacaz is amazing! Congrats bro. Deep dish wheels will set it off! I had a few people mistake mine for an sl7.

Only white tape, ever. About 20 years back I was putting my water bottle back, fatigued in traffic, with black tape and I missed the handlebars with my hand and did, dish*t, an endover. Strawberries everywhere. White tape.
When I was a teenager and got my first road bike the first thing I learned to do was throw away all the reflectors. I knew that was what I had to do to look cool.
Got the exact same bike (comp) and color. Put reynold ARs (58/62) on it and the roval rapide aero carbon bars on it. I love how it turned out and rides so great! Can’t wait to see if you end up adding a decal kit. Have been thinking about some subtle decals.
Enjoy the bike that all that counts. I am not no pro and believe I don’t need a sworks. I would have gone the same route. Smart choice ! Make the bike your style.

Great video man! Found your channel about a couple months ago and loving the content. Also, I actually have the same bike but in a 58cm! I have all stocked except a few components. I swapped to cl50 wheels, 700x26 turbo cottons, Sram force 172.5 cranks with 46/33, Sram red cassette in a 10/33 range, roval rapide 40cm aero bars. Two sworks cages, supacaz bar tape, stem Garmin mount, and look keo carbon ceramic pedals. My bike weighs 17Ibs 12oz. I absolutely love the bike!

Congrats on the new, "my-me-mine" Tarmac! 😎 The White is such a great color, especially cuz you're not a rolling specialized billboard...only the down tube logo, as opposed to 360' signage on some of the other colors. The Comp is such a great bargain(for Specialized)-base for future build to your liking upgrades.

Enjoy! That’s a €6000 bike here in Ireland. This is the price level for my next bike. But the Tarmac Comp won’t get a look in because I prefer Shimano’s new 12sp Ultegra and not owning a set of wheels that I couldn’t even sell on not used. Front runner, is the 1Kg lighter Canyon Aeroad CF SLX Di2. Sure, I’ll probably have to buy another set of lower profile wheels for the windy days that the 62mm DT Swiss Arc 1400 might be a bit hairy on. But that would leave me with two sets of wheels and not a Tarmac with one set of wheels in the bin.
I just got the same bike :) 105 .. you mentioned you can change the decals on the bike! I’d love to do so, where would recommend getting those from all I can find is Etsy generic ones which I’m not sure they’ll work! Thanks

Congratz GC! The white color looks great. I bought the SL7 Pro cuz I fell in love with the red tint color, white was my second choice. Intrigued about the stickers to cover the Tarmac and Specialized logos with new colors. Care to share where you plan on buying these? i want to go full oil slick logos! Also, bike fitter said I had to go with different bars to be "comfortable" on the bike and I agreed. Got some Aerofly I "venge" bars with the 20mm rise so my Aerofly II bars are sitting in a box. Could let them go to you for a fair price :)
The Specialized Tarmac SL7 is probably best looking bike around at the moment, and your bike is no exception! Totally agree that the decals on the white frame 'pop' and look awesome. Yes to the bar tape, no to the white bottle cage. Btw the elite leggero bottlecages are 17gr and relatively cheap. Lower the weight seems to double the prices. Crazy. Another saddle might win you another 100 grams. Love the white!
Nice video and congrats beautiful bike honestly. I was thinking of the tarmac but took the Aethos for ride comfort instead in a comp, I feel the comp is the best value for me. The rival is a great groupset , works flawlessly and fully wireless is great for maintenance. I liked the music in the video , felt chill 😂 I look forward to the build up of the bike

Its a porker but you are too GC ;-) Kidding aside, I live in Florida too and its flat. Wind is the hills in FL. Weight doesn't matter on the flat. Aero matters in FL. Needs some prettier wheels. Thanks for sharing even if I don't like the SL7 or disc brakes you also don't need in FL because its flat.

Thank you for the video. Could you give me advice about brake pipes? I had the same bike but it was partly built. The pipes had already oil, and they were too long. I was trying to shove them inside but I was not successful. Should I cut them to adjust the length? But I was afraid of that shortness could affect on braking action. Plus I must cut all equipped stuff (olives..) on the tips of the pipes. Is not it a waste of stuff for a beautiful view?

no you are supposed to cut them and it is pretty easy to do so and also the bike should come with extra barb and olive to fix
