- How about a 200+ mile race on the Tarmac SL8? The LOTOJA Classic seems like a great way to really put it to the test, especially the ride quality and comfort aspects.

I stayed with my group until Montpelier, then kind of lost them. I rode with several groups after that and did a lot of pulling. Finished 11th at 10 hours 19 minutes. I rode with Nick and others from TBD cycling for quite some time. I told them I enjoyed your channel and content :) @@outdoorbros_

I still wanna see a venge vs SL8 🤣😂. But I see you’re liking them lace shoes. I’ve become a fan of the S-Works Ares shoes. The way they wrap around the foot you feel no BOA pressure at all.
If I can get my hands on a Venge, I'm all for it.
I've only been back on the bike since January and haven't done any racing at all this year, but man this looks like something I'd love to do next year! Maybe I'll see you out there!

@@outdoorbros_ I got time cut at 160 miles 😭 but I had a blast! I hit a wall at 145 and it took me nearly two hours to finish those last 15 miles. I needed a hamburger at mile 100 haha
I was in your start group, I was able to ride with the group of 15 until the Geneva climb and got dropped just before the summit. I tried to bridge back up on the descent but just wasn't able to.

with all the attention to detail for watts and aero what chain do you find works best? i'vve seen some ybn 195g cahins for a steep price and a few kcm that are in the SL category. ideo looks dialed good luck in the evvent!

You should try the silca super secret wax. That stuff is lightyears ahead of other waxes ive used.

Haha, I prefer hooked, but I have had no major issues with hookless.

Venge, SL7, SL6 and SL8.
Try out some craftworks racing wheels. 3rd gen carbon spoke tech. You can get 50/60s and the weight is only 1290 grams. Or 40/45 at 1179 grams.

I don't think so- it's just a regional race.

Aero wheels is the way to go. 8000ft of climbing across 200 miles actually sounds like a fairly flat race

That’s a tough place to drop, especially with the exposed flats before Salt.
Great group! I don't think we spoke, if I remember who you were you were only 1 of 2 TBD guys left in the group and you were trying pretty hard to bridge back to the break. I was in a gray BAA jersey, I would've like to chat and try to create a plan to work together and bridge back. @@outdoorbros_
