Such tactful, yet no-holds-barred criticism! "Fun sapping", "Ford Ecosport...is a much more satisfying experience", "Not much to look at and the drive is completely uninspired." When an 8-year old platform like the Ecosport is better, that's disheartening.

When it comes to the Kicks, I am punting on first down.
As a current Juke owner, my turbo Juke would most likely floor it and leave this in the dust laughing hysterically. I’d lime to have that Apple car play stereo and the Bose speaker headrests but the rest I’d punt to the curb
I agree, the Kicks just a meh kind of car. I had a juke and it was an absolute blast. I'll happily trade the size and mpg difference of the juke instead of this car. Keep up with the great reviews btw. I've been a subscriber for many years. Love the content!
Is this the reincarnation of my Datsun B210 (which I loved, it was utilitarian)? A stick would be nice, and to complete the nostalgia, a honey bee edition?
21k and this thing doesn’t have projector head lights???
It has auto projector LED head lights + 360 surround view camera + killer stereo system + proximity key & push button start + remote engine start + tons more.
Great Review but Ouch. You clearly don't have love for this one. I do agree that the 188 Hp 1.6T should be offered here. However, the interior and exterior look better on here to me than on the Juke. Also, the interior packaging seems better.
Honestly, I still think the Nissan Rogue Sport should have been Nissan's subcompact crossover (just under a different name)

Steve Anus's evaluation of the Kixks is one of the most severe you can find on the net.
And it could have been harsher, Ray Bangass.
In a perfect world Nissan would collaborate with Suzuki and produce a hybrid model called the Swift Kicks, or is that just a dumb juke?

This and the ford eco never has a whelm been so far under. The depressed whelm is looking for help .

Only thing, eh? I concur on that hatred. This and the other front drive, similar ground clearance as most sedans, tall hatchback looks and gutless engines make zero sense to me. I assume there wouldn't be so many options for this class if there wasn't a buying demographic for it. *shrugs* I'll stick to my decade old vehicle that just keeps going, and has the brawn to match.
it would of been fine but that engine makes cars like these very dangerous in certain situations
when consumers get it wrong and the manufacturer gets it more wrong catering to the consumer. I hate this car w/a passion as it is a sign of just about everything wrong w/the automotive landscape right now; driving is no longer important and only gadgets/doo-dads (technology) sell the car. Nissan says "innovation that excites" but the Kicks is neither innovative nor exciting. I would expect more from a company that has the resources they do, but maybe Nissan is "GT-R blind" and really only cares about their halo car and nothing else. Unless you are a Nissan loyalist, there are many more offerings that do the "car thing" better at the same price point, Honda Fit EX/EX-L comes to mind, but that's just me because I can get the Fit EX w/a 6spd manual
The Ford E sport is horrible looking in comparison..

They should have just carried the juke name over and kept the turbo engine as a premium engine choice with more power. I think it would sell better
