3rd Parties Will Help Trump Win the 2024 Election (Polling Analysis)

  • Voter interest in alternatives to the major parties is at its highest point in three decades, meaning that unless there's a significant decline in support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and others over the summer and into the fall, the influence of third-party candidates on the 2024 Electoral College map will be the single most decisive factor in determining the election's outcome between former President Donald Trump and sitting President Joe Biden.

Hilary cost herself that election. She underestimated her opponent, after 8 years this dude was preaching how we’re going to make our nation great again and always said “ us “ when he referred to his campaign. Hilary called us all worthy of condemnation and her main campaign message was about herself not the people. She could’ve won bcuz a lot of those states were close like 2020 but she was just the most horrible candidate, such an unlikeable, corrupt, fake, and snobby politician.

True. Third-party angst comes up every time. However, i have to wonder how many people wouldn't vote AT ALL were it not for a third option. For instance, it is almost taken as gospel that Ralph Nader voters cost Al gore the presidency in 2000. Going back further, in 1980, there were quite a number of states in which independent John Anderson's vote total was greater than Reagan's margin over Jimmy Carter. If they hadn't voted for Anderson, how many would've voted at all?

More parties solves nothing. There is no system that can be invented to weed out people considered extremist or non mainstream.
Democrats claim only moderates win elections and Biden is no moderate. Maybe 40 years ago he was considered one, but this is his fourth run for president. Obviously he has been hurt by things like plagiarism and age and other issues, not where he falls on the political scale.

I say RFK Jr will help Trump more than hurt him, his voting base is already incredibly devoted and wants him to win if for no other reason than revenge against Biden. It's why he was the clear winner of the primaries compared to say, Vivek who also appeals to many of the same points but just doesn't have the same star power and weight of influence. If people actually wanted a politician like Trump but "without the baggage" they would've picked DeSantis but that just didn't happen. Contrasting this, Biden has never been truly popular or conected with his voters, he was just the anti-Trump blue figurehead. More moderate Democrat voters who are disgusted with Biden's handling of... pretty much everything that's happened in his term are more likely to vote Kennedy than another term of a clearly rapidly degrading old man.
Or in other words, Trump voters love Trump more than Biden voters hate him, they're not going to pick anyone else this time around while those on the left probably will in good numbers.

This is a good foundation for explaining why we have a "2 party system". We have the ability to choose our nation's CEO, unlike a parliamentary system. So it's better to be strategic and concentrate in a zero sum game. The popularity of the other parties only comes about when the country is more fractured in culture - notice the last time in the 90s was also during the surge of PC (woke) culture and riding high on the backs of an economic boom. Third parties serve a good purpose as an alarm for either party to keep them in check with the middle.

the last time I voted was in 2008. I didn’t vote for anyone in 2012 since I didn’t care for anyone. I was split between voting for Hillary or Trump. I didn’t think Trump would win in 2016 so I didn’t vote for him, and I thought Hillary was out played by Trump during the debates that’s why I didn’t vote for her. I started supporting Trump after I seen what he did with the economy after he became president, because the only thing I experienced under Obama was misery and hardship. I didn’t feel confident to vote for anyone even though I supported Trump in 2020. Now after observing a drastic difference between Biden’s policies, which caused inflation, the Ukraine war, high gas prices, high grocery, increased rent and vehicle prices. People scalping certain products after covid, etc. Which I blame all on Biden and his support and lack of hold back of the stimulus he approved to spending ballooning our deficit even higher which we certainly don’t need. Compared to Trump’s policies, I faired certainly better under Trump. I felt safer under Trump. Trump show that he cared significantly more about the well-being of the American. His foreign policy was spot on, especially with tariffs. He stood up to NATO. He stood up to the European Union and their tariffs on American made goods. He put China in their place for intellectual property theft, which was hurting corporations. Kim Jong-un didn’t bother us. So overall, I felt like Trump did a really good job on foreign policy better than anyone else the last three decades. Oh, and he got NAFTA re-signed to help American farmers and a slew of other positive economic policies with that deal. In 2015 he went up to Michigan and told GM and other car manufacturers not to ship manufacturing to Mexico because if you do, I’m going to put tariffs on those vehicles when they’re imported. So he saved a lot of jobs in Michigan. I can go on and. So I can very easily say I am enthusiastic to vote for Trump in 2024. I have zero doubts. He will win! You don’t see anyone else doing any of these things that Trump did because everyone else’s bought by lobbyist and special interests and Trump can’t be bought.

It does a disservice to you and is unfair to myself. What I will say is that I find your even handedness refreshing. I've looked at a lot of similar channels and most of them have an obvious bias and are too quick to let their electoral maps reflect that. And it shows. Therefore I look forward to each of your episodes, knowing that I will see a reasonably fair assessment that does not reflect your own personal bias (I assume you have one, most people do), but instead reflects the facts as they exist at the time of the episode being published. RFK is nearly polling high enough to get on the debates provided Rs and Ds don't move the goalposts again. Considering both Biden and Trump are net unpopular, and RFK is net popular, as soon as people realize that not only can he pickup support but he can win, we might not be a spoiler but the lead candidate. He has appeal to edges of both parties but more importantly towards independents which makes up as many voters as the Rs and Ds combined, and in a 3 way race only 34% is needed to win. Of course one thing that the DNC and GOP agree 100% on is that Americans should have no other choices besides themselves.
