I'm so glad you're here now, you're a living legend. We're grateful as hell to have you here mate! Enjoy watching the lightning crack over cane fields. Cheers, some random Aussie.
I remember watching your show on supersport when I was about 12 years old back in 07/08. Seeing what you are doing now all these years later and seeing the quality of content and platform youve built is really amazing Andrew.
I’m with you, Andrew. I feel the most vulnerable with people nearby. I too take comfort in the sounds of nature and use silence as a warning that others may be around. Kate opening the tent.... priceless! 😂
Thank you Andrew. You make definitely interesting and quality videos. Amazing views, good comments, great advices. Still I'm sure, that my next car will be TLC 70-series. Applause 👏 👏
That last bit with Kate and the exploding tent was entertainment gold. The look on her face! Good rapid exit frame right, too. Can't wait for the next episode!
My wife has lots of relatives in the Adelaide and Whyalla region of Australia. I visited them from Sceon numerous occasions and always said I would live to cross the Nullabor and they thought I was crazy. I was fortunate to do the crossing in 2019 just before Vivid but due to the generosity of my brother-in-law. The best trip of my life and I have travelled. The last 10 hour drive into Horseman was hard.
Wow Andrew. What a privilege it must have been to experience the coastline. I would have camped there fore days, completely lost in the magnificence of it's sculptering. How many stories would it have to tell that I would love to hear? I learned so much from you and you have by far the most interesting channel on utube. Keep on doing what you do. The world needs to yearn for the pleasures of real freedom.
That's it Lordy. Just back from where that bloke was standing we spent the night. How's that for a room with a view. The Bunda Cliffs they are called. A trip of nothingness but one of a LIFETIME. Thanks for pointing this out. Bringing back some very wonderful memories of an unforgettable journey. Thank you.
Great fun watching your videos. They are inspiring and never fail to get my wife and I on to discussing our next overland trip. Granted our trips are not as epic, nor are they photographed as well, but we love them none the less. Keep going, we love it.
"A lot of people come here just to see nothing", the human race are wonderfully complex creatures, I love it. And your filmography is some of the best currently on TH-cam, makes me want to go to Australia just looking at it, makes me desperate to go and see nothing for myself!
Fantastic episode as always. The opening shot was epic. The closing shot was perrrfect. And to answer your question in the middle, yes, I do occasionally glance back at my rig as I walk away. If I had your LC however, I'd probably walk backwards to let my eyes drink in its beautiful perfection for as long as possible. 8^D
Glad Kate (Cate?) is joining you on this part of, yet, another great journey!!! That tent opening scene!!! Love it. Her timing is on-par with how it was done originally.
Keep on doing what your doing Andrew it's so awesome. Not many channels can keep me glued to the videos like yours. No fancy editing, no big production. It's like joining you on the trip. P.S that tent bit at the end made me laugh. Come to NZ sometime ;)
Great to see you including your daughter she brings some humour into it with her subtle remarks. That tent opening was the highlight lol. Looking forward to the next episode
I loveeeee your humour Andrew :) and Kate's look when she asked if that was Paul's Tent from the Canning Stock Route LOL :) Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland) :)
Thanks a bunch Andrew. I have been longing for your next video. Please keep them coming regularly. I understand the amount of work that goes into production, but please you have us hooked like a drug so do your best mate. Cheers and safe travels. ps Beware of that tent. Looks like it bites. 😂😂😂
Thanks Andrew. This video brought good memories. I visited Byron Bay on 2000 for a scientific meeting. I visited the lighthouse and that beach. Unfortunately I don’t have good pictures of that trip.
Great series mate. Haha I was one of the star struck idiots waving frantically at you as I recognized your truck coming out of arb in kilsyth. Looking forward to the rest of the series and great job kind regards
Utterly brilliant ending ... The more I watch the more I want to drag my family half way across the world. On the plus side I have a lot of family in Melbourne so not such a terrible thing. Now to convince swmbo!
What a great start to what I am sure is going to be one of your best series to date. A couple of teeny-weeny corrections, the body of water you were passing as you drove east was the Southern Ocean (at least by Australian standards). The Indian Ocean is considered to end at Cape Leeuwin. Also Eyre is pronounced more like 'air' with a slight e sound at the start :) Didn't detract at all from the video which was excellent as always. Loved the very last shot as Kate ran away from the expanding tent.
Arthur Stefos depends what source you refer to. Internationslly 60 Degrees lat is the Southern Ocean but for whatever reason Australia recognises above 60 lat as the Southern Ocean as well.
Indian Ocean extends between WA and Eastern Africa to it's west boundary, and to the north south east asia. But that wasn't my point. The point being that the body of water along that edge of Aus, bounded at Cape Carnot(SA) to the east, and Cape Pasley(WA) to the west is The GAB. Possibly extends down to 36S Lat. ie. Not an ocean. South of that(36°S Lat) is the Southern Ocean.
Your daughter Kate does make a great and especially funny side kick for your trip. Can't wait to see the rest! Would you keep us up with your fuel usage extra-urban and in 4x4 terrain? Curious to see how this new suspension is doing too.
just did Mandurah to Qld and back. Loved it!!! the Eyre hwy should be renamed van hwy ;-) and I have to say the best coffee the entire trip was Ceduna BP -where hj's and subway and fuel up is. The best lookout for the bight is lookout number 1 Andrew if you are going that way again ;-) Border Village has expensive fuel at $2.07 for diesel.
Andrew, it is so much fun to look and listen to your videos. I’ve looked quite a few of them now and I had to say they are all amazing. Content, Scene and cut are perfect! But one thing I would like to ask you - here in Austria in Central Europe we think about Australia as the country with the most poisonous animals all over the world. I can’t even imagine to sleep in the outback. How do you manage with all those deadly creatures their only goal is to bite you and eat you up. :-)
As always a great bit of photography and insight for those to gain inspiration from and not just read about it really get out there and enjoy. I have driven ADL to perth and back a couple of times great scenery did you go to the old telegraph house on the way across the plain ? Great to see the scrubbers playing golf lol and enjoy Birdsville Pete and Bronwyn are an awesome couple at the birdsville roadhouse look forward to your next update 😎
Great as always. Pronunciation time: Eyre (Eyre Highway, Lake Eyre etc) is pronounced in Australia as 'Air'. What was your final weight of the Troopy once filled up with fluids and people?
Been there and it was breathtaking! We could hear what sounded like people talking loudly and we looked down and there was a family of seals at the bottom :)
Andrew, I think it's the Southern Ocean down there, Eyre is pronounced air, and the town was Tenterfield. Other than those minor glitches, a great video. Thank you. Ps, never go inland without a fly veil, they'll crawl into every place they can fit. There's nothing worse than breathing fly. 😊
Au has a special beauty but Europe has a WOW moment every km and yes in eastern Europe you'll find mud tracks, mountains that test any4x4 to the very limits
Nice vid, BUT tell the truth was hoping to see you do a little of the Great Ocean road whilst down south. From following your trip I did notice you went into Geelong. Oh well maybe another time, suspect scheduling doesn't allow for everything.
Check out Wikicamps for random camp spots, it's a paid app but has some awesome spots all over Australia, including 4wd access only 👍 Another awesome video, can't wait for the next
Watching your daughter opening the tent was the highlight of the video!!!!
oh yes.. that tent is famous ( or infamous !! )
I just finished the video. That was the best part! LoL.
I was thinking the same think! 😂 hahaha!
Yes that tent gag will never go stale
The best!! LOL
As soon as I saw that tent come out of the truck, I knew what was coming. 😄
Your daughter is exactly like her mother. Wish you all the best things and health!
Everyone’s favorite tent is back!
lol
I'm so glad you're here now, you're a living legend. We're grateful as hell to have you here mate! Enjoy watching the lightning crack over cane fields.
Cheers, some random Aussie.
Ha! That look of concern on Kate's face was priceless!
Andrew is the world's geography teacher
that's debatable

The David Attenborough of travels. I love it 👍

I love the Paul Marsh tent gag. Hilarious!
nice looking truck Andrew.....I agree...and beautifully set-up.....
When travelling Australia, local knowledge is key. You can miss so much when travelling main roads.
At last! I've been looking forwards to you posting this trip. As ever, wonderful footage from the self shooting editor 'par excellence'
This was a pleasure to watch Andrew. Great work.... really enjoyed this. Don’t keep us waiting to long for the next one please. 👍🏻👌🏻🤔

The tent throw makes me laugh every time.
The intro itself deserves five stars !!!!!!!
Another great video. As for looking back at your truck as you walk away, if you don't you're in the wrong truck.
‘There’s a lion’ never gets old!
Holy moly, that opening coastal footage is just amazing...and frightening.
Throw tent, RUN!!!
Great video as always.
Really enjoyed this thank you Andrew! Spectacular opening shot and hilarious closing! Waiting for the next episode
Loved the video. I can't wait for Kate's sailboat/sailing channel to start up!
I appreciate Kate's sense of printed t shirt. Nice injoke.

Love the homage to the Canning Stock Route and the famous expanding tent. Well played....
i got a laugh when your daughter pulled out the tent at the end. Love your videos

This tent was already the laugher at the Canning Stock Route. The fun factor has not diminished! :-D
lol im glad im not the only one who gets that nervous feeling solo travelling and camping
lol @ canberra
Keep on doing what your doing Andrew it's so awesome. Not many channels can keep me glued to the videos like yours. No fancy editing, no big production. It's like joining you on the trip. P.S that tent bit at the end made me laugh. Come to NZ sometime ;)

That tent opening was great! Haha
The best story teller!!!
Great cinematography , informative and an inspiration , keep up the splendid work Andrew
Retired Slave no
The bit about the traffic and roadworks - you could have stayed in England. Excellent video as always, plus the return of *that* Tent!
I loveeeee your humour Andrew :) and Kate's look when she asked if that was Paul's Tent from the Canning Stock Route LOL :) Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland) :)
Cinematically excellent thanks Andrew always enjoy your stories 👍
Another great video Andrew. Looking forward to to seeing the rest of the trip!
Drove across the Nullabor in 1976 when I was 20 years old, no phone no two way radio, no nothing, great adventure
Love your videos Andrew. It inspires me to overland but being stuck on an island in the Pacific Ocean has its limits.
Had a great laugh at your daughter putting up her tent
Pauls tent again! that last bit made my day.
Thanks Andrew. This video brought good memories. I visited Byron Bay on 2000 for a scientific meeting. I visited the lighthouse and that beach. Unfortunately I don’t have good pictures of that trip.
Great work Andrew - look forward to the next installment........
I enjoy your videos very much . Thank you for sharing.
Just discovered your channel, enjoying very much, thank you. Cheers from L.A. (lower Alabama:)
Can confirm, am a young guy, went to Byron Bay, had a real good time doing exactly what Andrew meant. I love that place and will be back soon.
Great series mate. Haha I was one of the star struck idiots waving frantically at you as I recognized your truck coming out of arb in kilsyth. Looking forward to the rest of the series and great job kind regards

see my other reply above. Not the Southern Ocean .. it's the Great Australian Bight!
Arthur Stefos depends what source you refer to. Internationslly 60 Degrees lat is the Southern Ocean but for whatever reason Australia recognises above 60 lat as the Southern Ocean as well.

Love your content, can't wait for the next episode
I watch your videos last. They are always the best ones.
Again a fabulous story. Your comment re the Nullarbor mirror my own. Nothing like I expected but sensational non the less.

we love you Andrew!!!!

Nah.. illegal immigrants on boats. Took a wrong turn just past Java.
Epic opening scene!
As soon as I saw the tent I began to laugh!
Really enjoy your work!
Armidale and Tenterfield not Armindale and Tenterton!
The flies are annoying but they keep the lions away.
Would love to see Andrews take on a Perentie 6x6 build. Or a 4x4 Perentie ffr......like mine for instance :)
a cattle dog will take all your concerns away andy, dam those NP,s. i originate from the charleville area.all the best.
Wow!......... freckle puckering Vertigo Video:)
