I love this kit so much, it made me realize the Hi-Nu is my favorite UC gundam. Unfortunately I don't love the hands so much. I popped the hand off the little ball joint pegs that plug into the wrist one time too many so now the hand will fall off at the drop of a hat. Luckily the mega beam rifle can just rest on the ground but still. Hate this style of hands
Personally, I loved this kit and didn't really think it was much of a brick kit even with the HWS add on. I do kinda wish it was more detailed like the Nu ver ka though. I plan on building it like 4 more times at least xD
Hey Jabman, Microsol and Microset or Mr Mark Setter and Mr Mark Softer are very helpful decal solution to help with adhesion and to make decals fold and conform to odd shapes. Tamiya have similar products too. Sealing decals afterwards with a decal friendly topcoat is advisable also. Thanks for all your efforts with these video reviews. Great work.
Was doing the waterslide decals on the funnels and gave up half way and still havent finished it after 6 months. Literally gave me PTSD of waterslide decals.
I think if I had to deal with those decals, I'd probably have to eat my pistol! Deep Striker indeed. I must like your vids, I sat through a 3 minute ad...
Do you have plans to build the GM Sniper Custom? Granted it's just a remade GM 2.0 (as I have discovered for the first time), the really unique design is what got me to get it.
Hi nu is simple without the hws but it looks great. The Hi Nu is perfect for pla plating and scribing to make it more look amazing while the Nu is already detailed.
Even without those added parts this is some of best redesigns from Katoki but when those parts added it becomes epic looking. Only weak part is that back pack becomes far too over the top like something from SEED or SEED Destiny.
is it just me or is there a strong look between the Hi-v ver ka and the sinanju stein ver ka I know in the story the sinanju was made using the data of the V and sazabi but it shares a strong look to the Hi-v especially HWS like with the main gun similar shield and non HWS back pack but anyways great kit.
hey jabman I remember you said last vid that the mk2 is the best mg in your opinion. Does that still hold true even if you factor in the sazabi ver ka?
Not a fan of the purple spotted pattern on the shield. Just looks weird especially when every purple part of the kit has very clean lines and the spots are blurry and amorphous.
But is the HWS add on a thumbs up? Those water slides look insane. I doubt I could do them any better. This is probably one of those kits that you should just paint and not bother with the color fade decals. I mean its not like you're going to pose this anyway.
Ah, another great video Jabman. I always love seeing your videos. I personally prefer the old Hi-Nu model kit to the ver ka because....well...the decals are just too much for my tastes. Also yeah....the I didn't know what the deep striker was when it was first leaked, saw it, and noped out of buying it. I can honestly say MG #100 is better than the MG #200 can ever hope to be. Lead brick made of glass comes to mind when I think of it in mg form. Too heavy to possibly move and you KNOW it will be fragile as FUCK. Not a kit for anyone with a pet....I can almost hear the sounds of breaking plastic already.
i kinda regret not getting this kit now but then again, age has affected my zz ova kit so i don't regret buying the ver ka, also that giant beam rifle looks like a rehash of the high beam rifle from the sinanju Stein
In space, yes. If it's ground combat, gravity will just pull its overall weight down. It's other weapons will not work in gravity too, especially its fin funnels.
"01 Heavy Weapons System...as if they were going to make another >_
Fun fact: Those giant cylinders on the shield are actually bigger meaner versions of the ZZ's beam cannon.
That shield is a dual mega particle cannon. I thought they were thrusters at one point myself, but nah bruh, that's a gun.
They're both.
@@Gunpla_shrimp prove it.
@@Gunpla_shrimp Should have just posted that right from the start.
Never before have I head the words 'brick' and 'faberge egg' used as synonyms.
nither have i
Those funnels are why I'm glad I have an airbrush. Takes 10 minutes to do and it looks perfect.
If Amuro was alive in Unicorn this would be his Gundam in episode 7 of the OVA
Except it would be useless fighting the Neo Zeong.
It would have been the sinanju
Mechalinker Gaming Anything is possible when you have Amuro Ray behind the controls of his own suit.
It's interesting how the big rifle and revised shield look like elements of the Sinaju Stein. The leg add on sections look kind of similar too.
That's because the Sinanju Stein is the combination between the Sazabi and the Nu Gundam
Which later becomes the prototype to create the Unicorn
barely a thumbs up? nahh :P
this was one of my most fun builds, but i didnt use the cowprint waterslides and gave it a full black white paintjob.
Hands down!! Ur the best Gumpla reviewer on TH-cam!! Thank you for doing what u do, and keep up the good work!!
You haven't met rrobert184...
Coper yes I have, and my opinion stays the same, Jabman is the best.

Me as well for a long long time didn’t like the Hi Nu because of the colors. But now if the king of the Gundams for me.
I love the break down of how you WANT to move it but what happens if you do haha
Great work Jabman!
i was waiting for your review for this! thanks for keeping this consise and informative..i'm buying this for my birthday

Nice review as always man, keep up the great work, wine included!!!
Good job Jeff, thanks for sharing 😎✌️
The hi nu wearing a fridge
Nah. It's a closet.
It’s clearly wearing the fridge and the closet at the same time. It even decided to throw a Saturn V on for good measure.
Was doing the waterslide decals on the funnels and gave up half way and still havent finished it after 6 months. Literally gave me PTSD of waterslide decals.
So ready for mine to come in. Got it for 40 bucks from Bandai online

Hi-Nu ver Kai:"no worries guys, I'm going THICKO MODE."
*Version Katoki
God thank you i knew the head was tiny but i thought i might have been going crazy
great review, much appreciated.
Thanks for a great review, I will definitively get the HWS now base on your video.

Keep it up man your vids help me out on my next selection
What would you rate this without the heavy weapons system?
Simple. It's much simpler than the Nu. But it's a good kit. And it looks much better than the old "redesigned" version.

Mecha82 isn't this barely different from the original MSV design though?
He added slight touches on the design but this is way more similar to the OG design than the first hi nu that was released
Because the old MG Hi-v was a redesign, katoki decided recreate the OG design with new gimmick.
叶川ヒロ correct
I don't like that leopard print shield. Everything else looks great though!
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!

JABMAN UPLOADED HI-V HWS REVIEW: *A S C E N D E D*
I was never interested in the HWS until I saw it mounted on the back like that. Apparently I have missed all pictures of that. Gonna pick one up now.
Great job on the build especially the decals, looks so tedious :O
I have mine posed in the air. Looks great
Oh my god that kit was a knockout!!
Sweet Video!
thanks for the review man.
Hi, does the Hi-Nu HWS set also fit on the Nu Ver. Ka? :)
no sorry but they do sell a HWS for the nu gundam
@@jabman025 thanks! was asking because somebody wants to buy mine to use with a Nu. Haha told him that it wouldn't fit

He jabman, I was wondering if the effect parts from the old hi-nu kit work with the hi-nu ver.ka kit. Thanks!
if you are talking about the funnels no the backing is different
@@jabman025 I meant the lightning parts that go between each of the funnels that simulate firing. Thanks!
Great review as always mate. Question though have you thought of building a Zoids or Macross?
oh yea boi .... deep striker
Sorry to bother you, but is there any chance you could scan/photograph the HWS manual and post it? I lost mine and there are no scans online.
look here www.mech9.com/2010/05/hguc-fa-93hws-nu-gundam-construction.html
Thanks jabman
I hope the red viper zeta. Is coming soon
Thanks a lot to this review
hey jabman I remember you said last vid that the mk2 is the best mg in your opinion. Does that still hold true even if you factor in the sazabi ver ka?
I know the kit is purple but your camera makes it very blue
Idk I repose mine all the time without issue, nothing loose or breaks
Nice! I kinda want to get this just to see how hard it is. Anyways, nice video!
Keep it up we like your opinion on kit's
It's sad that you did not put it side by side the re nightingale
Which is the better gunpla, this or the MG Sinanju Stein Ver. Ka
You should get the SD Hi nu to juxtapose this one.
Think I'll go for regular nu if get another MG after I finish my f91 and double x
The funnels were my first attempts at watersides
I decided to never try again
I think you lack patience.
3:37 okay ouch
Have this kit is fun enjoyable got on the Bluefin’s site clear if i could i will show a picture
Is there a nu gundam HWS ver ka tho? Not the hi nu, the nu from CCA, the movie.
there is, it is more or less the same set with a color change
Not a fan of the purple spotted pattern on the shield. Just looks weird especially when every purple part of the kit has very clean lines and the spots are blurry and amorphous.
How is the base kit compared to the MG Ver.1.0?
Do the HWS parts fit on the regular Hi Nu? (Not the ver. Ka)
no
@@jabman025 too bad!
Awesome
What about just the hi nu by it’s self? Would it have been a contender for its year
+jesrel manarang know the balance on the standard version of this kit is still not very good the hws system just makes it worse
So if u can't do water slides then your screwed and will have plain white funnels
more or less
Now only 11 more times! Hahaha
Where’s your build pf PG strike freedom.?
But is the HWS add on a thumbs up?
Those water slides look insane. I doubt I could do them any better.
This is probably one of those kits that you should just paint and not bother with the color fade decals. I mean its not like you're going to pose this anyway.
I wish Ver Ka kits came with stickers and water slides cause while the latter look better its a pain to apply that much
Had to watch this again because i realized, everytime purple never looks like it should on camera and this bugs me to nooooo end...
the bright lights kind of change the hue of the color, this version is more purple and the standard hi nu is much more light blue
Hi Nu Gundam HWS vs FA Unicorn Gundam, which is a more epic brick? lol
Design-wise, it's the Hi-Nu Gundam HWS.
Hmm, interesting, didn't know the Sinanju Stein effectively uses the Hi Nu HWS gun.
@@Gunpla_shrimp At the time of the posting, had not seen that mobile suit with all it's weapons. Only seen a basic Nu really.
But is it an improved kit over the old Hi-Nu Gundam kit?
+El Rommel in terms of looks yes in terms of everything else no
Nah, I would skip the HWS add on and enjoy the Hi-v ver ka by itself.
Never care for the HWS on any nu gundam
At most I’d get the HWS for those leg boosters, they look cool when attached (I may just be a sucker for big bulky leg thrusters).
FAZZ ver.ka next. LOL
Thank god I have an air brush
Wonder who would win this or unicorn full armor
FAU had I-Field shields that can move via Psycowaves. The only way the Hi-Nu HWS would win is by using its non-beam weapons.
Joeie Rivera ah so basically a fist fight
C'mon man... Hi-Nu HWS got boob missiles and a pair Bazookas...
But bazookas don't aim well, so I guess let's just trust in Amuro's Newtype abilities.
All the water slides will be scratched if ya dont layer it with a nice top coat
always add micro sol after applying decals
How about doing RE 1/100 Hamma-Hamma
Why didn’t you put it on an action base
Actually Jabman the original Hi-nu is puple not blue you're confusing the redesign with the original design which the ver ka is essentially is
Jetfire48 he was talking about the first mg
Wireless_Phantom ah My mistake then
Where is the piece h-7 used for and can you give me the page number if it is used oh i found it
this kit looks funny like a zebra lol i like nu verka better 😁
"Afraid of move this thing?!" Ain't gonna buy it then...

i kinda regret not getting this kit now but then again, age has affected my zz ova kit so i don't regret buying the ver ka, also that giant beam rifle looks like a rehash of the high beam rifle from the sinanju Stein
Nope. Sinanju Stein had a different beam rifle. They only have the same barrel. The body is different.
I have che 'not Ka' version, and it looks much better imho. This looks chonk. The Sazabi on the other hand...
is this thing even practical during combat
In space, yes. If it's ground combat, gravity will just pull its overall weight down. It's other weapons will not work in gravity too, especially its fin funnels.
I came.
"bipod"
Hi-nu is thicc compared to nu
the fucking decasl in funnels are a nighmare to put on, the decals fall whit the time
Now I know I don’t want to get this. Cuz my mom gonna break it when she “cleans”
You need to get on instagram
Faberge brick
It’s the hi-v not hi-nu
And the possibility is way better than you give
Banshee 2911 it is the hi nu. The v means nu.
Banshee 2911 the v is a greek alphabet thats why its called Nu.
no head movement? really, your just lazy in review jabman, the head can move.
why cut the decal on funnel if you can use mark softer?
those overlap are made to cover the edges.
this review is terrible
