    I like it when they have the clear piece that represents the forehead and back camera...the clear piping...goes all the way through and has clear on both the front and back.
    That's very cool the yellow comes in that color for the eyes.
    Normally MGs would have it in a clear or a colored clear piece.

    Something you didn't mention in the video is how the sub arms have a locking mechanism to keep them extended.
    The beam saber holders on the side of the backpack are designed so that when pushed in they hold up the arms and prevent them from falling back in.

    Hey there Jabman025, I always enjoyed & loved your informative reviews ... (especially those build offs you have with "vegeta8259")
    Since you mentioned the FA Gundam Thunderbolt is the new leader in Master Grade Kit of the Year 2016, surely this must means that Bandai is giving us MG fans a better kit each time they release a new kit (or lack thereof???). Hence this lead to my following questions,
    1) the MG Freedom 2.0 is an overall solid, good looking, highly detail & especially a really really good poser kit. How good is the articulation of the FA Gundam once fully loaded with its armor? (since it's not mentioned in your video this time round). Would you say this is slightly a brick kit?
    2) seeing the huge difference in price between MG Freedom 2.0 to MG FA Gundam, which would you say is "Better" in terms of Value?
    Thanks for answering my questions and most of all thanks for continuing on your truly great Gundam Review (loved your unique "oh and the...1 more thing!!!)
    keep up your Good Work ... Cheers!!!

    i just recently built this kit and for me the vinyl sleeves were a huge pain in the butt. they really didn't give me a whole lot of grief per say, but they deffinately were a little tedious and annoying to work with.
    did you have any issues with the armor pieces that you sandwich around it pinching the vinyl sleeve? i had that issue quite alot. perhaps i wasn't doing it all 100% correctly, but at the end of the day it all worked out and it still looks good.
    also, did you have any issue with the connection of the arm into the torso? i tried putting both in and on one of them, the little tab or whatever broke off, but it still worked, and on the other arm i had the peg completely snap on me. i actually had to wait a week or so until i got a chance to go out and buy some stuff like brass rodding to fix it.

    • @dracocrusher
      @dracocrusher 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally haven't got this Gundam yet, but I did get the Nu Gundam ver ka, and it's one heck of a great kit. The psycho frame's a bit pointless and annoying to get in, but if you want to display it you have the option and I just really can't say enough good about it. The beam saber's great, the hidden extra saber works way better than it originally felt like it would, the shield is probably one of the best Gundam Shields I've ever seen because it clicks on securely and it's light enough that it never becomes a problem, and the clear stand it comes with displays the Funnels beautifully! The thing just looks super sick and has lots of great details and I love it.
      Only problem is that the Funnels don't like to stay in wing mode very well and I had a lot of trouble trying to keep them from bending out of a straight shape because of how vague the wing instructions are. But you're probably not going to pass up the flying Funnel look, anyways.... Also the backpack connection for the Bazooka's not great, but it's better than the connections stuff like the Gundam 3.0 and Zaku II 2.0 had for their heavy weapons, so fair enough.
      That being said, Nu Gundam doesn't have nearly as many giant guns and extra armor pieces and shields and just sheer weapons and shields that this thing does, so just go with whichever one you think looks cooler because you're going to need to rely on a stand and deal with some issues either way.

    Hi Jabman. Would appreciate your input with this:
    So, I've built a bunch of HGs, a few RGs, and a couple of 1/100 NGs. Now, I've got my MG Deathscythe Hell and it has remained in the box for about a month now. Question is, is my experience enough to build it well? Or would you recommend starting off with a more beginner friendly MG? If it's the latter, which one would you recommend?

    Other people have had the full armor stand up by itself. Maybe it's something with the surface you're trying to stand it on? I'm sure if you put on the cannons and shields on the front arms along with the backpack it might probably throw the center of mass back forward enough that it could stand. Of course I don't know for sure because I'm not rich enough to build another ver ka for a while after the Hi-Nu.

I actually really didn't like Thunderbolt designs outside of the gundam itself, and still am not totally sold on them or anything, but I am glad for its fans that it is getting some love. this is a rare case of if I do get this mobile suit, it might be as a MG since I do not care about getting more of its line to pose it with, something HGs are always likely to win out on, both for price and having more available designs than MG ever will

    GodDAMN. That is a lot of plastic, sucks about the Hands too. I don't know Jab, I made it through the Sazabi Ver Ka, I made it through Nu Ver Ka, how would you rate Thunderbolt Ver Ka alongside those in terms of plastic volume?

    • @jabman025
      @jabman025  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      in terms of volume it is more than those kits, but still not as much as Full armor Unicorn

    • @14852577
      @14852577 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Huh, I'm still on the fence about this kit despite being a huge fanboy for Thunderbolt and Io Flemming for being such an awesome Gundam Pilot.

    If you decide not to put the extra armor can it hold the shield on its arm or does it need the missile launcher

    • @jabman025
      @jabman025  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah it could hold it, but not very well

    The federation at the beginning of the project RX made 7 RX models. Maybe the RX FA is one of them.

    I gave its stand to my mg unicorn and used a base like Jabman did. Much more stable.

    I personally think mg is too small for this and the psycho zaku, I feel like pg scale would've allowed both kits features to be executed better
