I agree Cronos is my favorite boss fight it was amazing on the PS3 for the graphics and it was fun to make him look stupid. I was looking forward to the fight since the first God Of War game and it was worth it.
About 6-7 minutes. The whole time I was like "dude, I know Kratos has freezing cold blood for Zeus but damn, how long do I have to do this?" Then I stopped for a bit to check and the scene was over. What really disappointed me was that Zeus' body was fine after the scene, I expected mush and blood even if you only had to punch him for a minute or so.
HERMES was (one of) the only boss(es) I actually wanted to kill. The first time I saw him and listened to his little spiel, I said to myself, "Oh, I'm going to enjoy killing you."
God of War 3 had the most kick ass bosses in God of War history. You don't just fight God's with shit load of powers, but also the titans themselves. Killing Cronos off was freaking satasfying and not to mention how freaking huge the game is itself. Hades is propably one of my personal favorite bosses when it comes to the God's of the game. And beating the living shit out of Hercules with his own weapon was brutal. :D
Asylum117 Yeah,I agree.GoW 4 is the best Game in My opinion but the main boss is just Baldur..He's a cool boss, but He's the only God were fighting..Were also fighting Thor's Sons, but anyways..The battles in GoW 4 is not like the battles in GoW 3..In GoW 4 Kratos is already too old to defeat huge monsters..The biggest Monster We defeat is the Dragon. Also, the Greek Gods are way cooler than the Norse ones..
Random Uploader I disagree. The Valkeries ARE a very good boss fight(s),but still..There's nothing better than finally killing a God/Titan you've been knowing for all the previous Games and then You FINALLY kill Him.And the boss fights Themselves are really cool anyways.
Random Uploader Well,I can see your point..That dosent make any sense that Kratos defeated a fucking Titan who is above 100 meters, but God Of War never made any sense anyways.I still like this boss fight tho..
The Hades fight is easely one of my favorite bosses of all time, everything in this fight is perfect. The music, the area, the movesets, the design and the damn satisfaction!!!
My favorite boss has to be Hercules - it was originally Poseidon, but the spectacle of the Hercules fight, two demigods duking it out in an arena with their brute strength in the end honestly makes it feel like those messy boxing matches where the two boxers just don't give up and keep throwing punches and both are bleeding but still standing. It's a moment where you clutch at your insides due to the sheer blood bath and also can't get our eyes off of.
CID Indeed, the nods to the labors of Heracles, and having it serve as commentary on the deeds of Kratos were skillfully done, especially by having Kevin Sorbo voice the character. I’m hoping he puts GOWIII on his resume far before all the Pureflix movies (God’s Not Dead) that he’s been inexplicably involved in lately... The game largely wants you to believe that Hercules was infected by the evils of the Box as well, but the visual nature of the battle do a good job regardless of making it believable that Kratos would be the victor in such an encounter. The falling shot into the water is amazing cinematography, especially for a video game.
Hold up, hold up. You can't pronounce half the names is the series (don't get mad at me, you brought it up first!), but you can pluralize "hippocampus?"
Future Trunks Hapheastus isn't even a separate gameplay section from Chronos but Hera's garden certainly is, and Kratos kills her. Sure, it's a pure environment boss fight, but the same is true of Helios and Hermes. Logic dictates that if Helios and Hermes are bosses, so is Hera and her garden which she explicitly states she hopes will stump Kratos to death.
NotAGoodUsername360 it's most certainly not. Her garden is nothing more than a puzzle. You see Haphestus has his own qte to kill him making him an enemy or Boss fight. Hera is killed during a true cutscene by Kratos without any help the players action. Dont confuse the puzzle of the garden and kratos killing Hera(who didn't even go straight for hera to begin with) as a Boss fight. Now if kratos was chasing after hera to kill her and the garden had traps to prevent him from doing so it would be considered a boss fight.
First time playing through I didn't realize that the game lets you beat on Zeus as long as you want. Spent at least 10 minutes just mashing O until I gave up on it.
I knew that before playing but ended up forgetting about it anyway in the end. (Then I remembered and proceeded to realize how idiotic it was for me to forget about it)
"Calling Hephaestus a boss is a stretch so wide even a prostitute would feel uncomfortable." Help.. me.. I'm dying of laughter! That aside, Kratos is so fucking brutal at the end of the game that they are using BLOOD to censor Zeus' violent death. That's metal.
Great series! I pretty much agreed with everything. Edit: although the posideon and cronos fights weren't hard, the certainly were breath taking and felt epic.
I found the fight really difficult, the most difficult in the game, and it was just a pa n in the ass for me, I preferred cronos which was a way more spectacular and cinematic fight or even hades, who was much more challenging and fun overall
u have no idea lol the final labirinth fight is a nightmare, took me time to beat it on chaos, after that i beated the fire cerebrus with 10 deathsin chaos much easier imo
manel costs I tried so many times to kill the fire Cerberus at that part on god mode so many times that I just gave up trying to beat the game on that difficulty 💀 I just don’t know what to do better
I personally like Hades the most, I loved the unique mechanics of the fight. It always felt fair and fun, plus the conclusion is ridiculously satisfying. Zeus is amazing too though!
Great video. I'd say I agree with all the placements for each boss. Also I just played the first couple hours of the new game and it is awesome! I'm loving it so far.
Shadow Guy well yeah I have and so far it's game of the year for me. KH3 would have been game of the year had it not been delayed but oh well. I've started playing this game again recently and am 100% completing it this time while using a guide.
The Cerberus boss battles should have been mentioned in this game. They improved a lot since the previous game and felt like a challenge, especially the Cerberus breeder. My god, that was a hard fight. It was frustrating, but that made it a much better fight than easy Cerberuses... Cerberi? You get the point.
I have a funny feeling that Zeus will be number 2 or 1 Edit: Wow, I almost thought you would put Hades as number 1 seeing how the video was going. This is a nice list and I'm excited for your thoughts on the bosses of the new God of War.
theDeModcracy For now, out of the ones I've faced, I'd have to rank them like this; !!!!!SPOILERS!!!!! 1: Baldur & Freya. 2: The Stranger. 3: Máttugr Helson. 4: Dragon. 5: Death Merchant. 6: Kara. 7: Gunnr. 8: Rota. 9: Ogre. (Holy Hel there are a lot of bosses in this game).
Hey guys Look at climat and arena, Hades, poseidon and helios have the Best. Look at zeus, theres Just a Little dark. Hades was in dark and fire colours, poseidon in water-cold and helios was in the really high Sun shine
Another quality vid. My recommendation for GoW 4 is to rank all the main bosses in one vid and then all of the Valkyries in another vid. But of course however you want to! (Valkyrie fights are best part of this game imo, Rota being my favourite)
Poseidon and chronos are such an amazing accomplishment, still incredible all these years later, the Poseidon battle lived up to the cliffhanger of god of war 2.
Zeus and that Scorpion were INSANE on the hardest difficulty! I'm never doing that again! Zeus killed me at least 15-20 times in the first stage and about 3 in the second. The third stage was ironically the easiest.
@@ariwanrz9140 yeah i feel with you 😂 i had to grabkill these little scorpions during the fight so i could upgrade the cestus to lvl 5. It went on for like 7-8 minutes and if i died anyway i had to start all over again 🤣
Fun fact: Just like how Harry Hamlin reprised his role as Perseus for God of War 2, Kevin Sorbo reprised his role as Hercules for this game. And the Zeus actor from Disney's Hercules voiced Hephaestus.
Along with being Kratos’ brother, Hercules is worshipped among the culture of Sparta and many Spartan kings said they could trace their family lines back to him.

+theDeModcracy.I really enjoy your videos and hope that you will upload more content about God of War,like ranking the whole franchise from the worst game to best or even ranking the weapons that Kratos utilised throughout the series.👍👍👍
At 231 I literally had to do a double-take as I was looking away from the screen, I've seen dozens of these best bosses from God of War videos but I think this is the first time where Chronos ranked anywhere lower than 2nd.
The fact that we kill ALL 3 main gods in one game (zeus, hades, poseidon) When i frist heard of series i was expeting one main god per game My frist encounteg with series with the series was with this one And my god it was SO MUCH FUN ON FRIST TIME

Zeus for sure is #1. My first playthrough I was expecting the command of smashing his face in to end at some point so I ended up mashing the circle button for some 15 minutes before I finally stopped. Can't deny it felt good though
Maybe I'm just a psychopath but when I saw the animation for finishing Hermes looked like slowly sawing his leg off I wound up really disappointed when I realized that I was supposed to release the button.
To me: Worst: Hermis, he doesn't give that much of a fight and is weak While Best: Posideon, on the other hand, makes it a challenge and he's form surely shows earth-saker and Lord of the horses
I think my favorite boss on this installment will be Hercules The fight was like a dream match between a former champion of gods and currently champion of gods and i really like his dialogue with Kratos it was fantastic and the actor whom the studio choose to voice Hercules is none other than Kevin Sorbo
The Hades boss fight will always be my personal favourite. I wish there was more boss fights like it. Creative design, and awesome phases that are different from each other.
At first I didn’t know that in order to move on from killing Zeus you had to stop hitting circle and I swear I just beat him for 20 straight minutes before I stopped
Think the new game bosses will be easy to rank However, (SPOILERS) Will baulder be one or two fights Probably two but I love the feel that the little fights all build to the finale
Hey theDeModcracy since GoW Wiki now states the Hades Cerberus Breeder is an official boss in God of War 3, where would you say it stands on the other rankings? I reckon you'd put it after Helios, since although it does give an actual fight, it's still essentially a reskin, and I know how you feel on those
1.Poseidon 2.Hades 3.Zeus 4.Kronos 5.Hercules 6.The speed God (I forgot how He's called) 7.The light God (I also forgot how he's called..But I think He's called Helius).. 8.The giant dude(I think he's a Titan even tho He's too small to be a Titan) Who gave Us the electric Weapons but then tried to kill Kratos so Kratos killed Them. 9.Hercule's mother (That wasn't really a boss fight..But that kinda?)
Man ever since I watched some of Trevohnn's videos I can't quite look at this game the same way anymore. _What you can't take it seriously anymore?_ Never said I did XD There needs to be a Timbs of Tartarus mod for this game :3
The fights against Kronos and Poseidon are one of the most impressive moments in PS3-history.
Wholeheartedly agree
TheStenius I agree.
Random Uploader Why do you think so?That's so fun to attack Titans that are above 100's.Those kind of battles sure are fucking fun.
@Random Uploader I'm with OP on this one. Cronos and Poseidon really showed how capable the PS3 was with its graphics and level design.
I agree Cronos is my favorite boss fight it was amazing on the PS3 for the graphics and it was fun to make him look stupid. I was looking forward to the fight since the first God Of War game and it was worth it.

I mashed for at least 5 minutes my first time

Zeus for sure is #1. My first playthrough I was expecting the command of smashing his face in to end at some point so I ended up mashing the circle button for some 15 minutes before I finally stopped. Can't deny it felt good though
Hades bossfight music is the most badass
Poseidon is most definitely the best boss in god of war 3
Hades was better
The consequences of his death were also the most impactful, that apocalyptical music for the first time gives me chills

Bruh the Skorpius battle was such a pain in the ass for me.
Now this was worth the watch! GoW 3 is badass and I love the new one.
Maybe I'm just a psychopath but when I saw the animation for finishing Hermes looked like slowly sawing his leg off I wound up really disappointed when I realized that I was supposed to release the button.
To me:
Worst: Hermis, he doesn't give that much of a fight and is weak
While
Best: Posideon, on the other hand, makes it a challenge and he's form surely shows earth-saker and Lord of the horses
nice.
where‘s the cuphead list?
Bonus points for having Kevin Sorbo voice Hercules.
I think my favorite boss on this installment will be Hercules
The fight was like a dream match between a former champion of gods and currently champion of gods and i really like his dialogue with Kratos it was fantastic and the actor whom the studio choose to voice Hercules is none other than Kevin Sorbo
Think the new game bosses will be easy to rank
However, (SPOILERS)
Will baulder be one or two fights
Probably two but I love the feel that the little fights all build to the finale
Definitely 2
Plus it's pretty cool that kevin zorbo played Hercules
Hey theDeModcracy since GoW Wiki now states the Hades Cerberus Breeder is an official boss in God of War 3, where would you say it stands on the other rankings? I reckon you'd put it after Helios, since although it does give an actual fight, it's still essentially a reskin, and I know how you feel on those
God of War III's Zeus might just be my favorite boss fight in the God of War series thus far.
1.Poseidon
2.Hades
3.Zeus
4.Kronos
5.Hercules
6.The speed God (I forgot how He's called)
7.The light God (I also forgot how he's called..But I think He's called Helius)..
8.The giant dude(I think he's a Titan even tho He's too small to be a Titan) Who gave Us the electric Weapons but then tried to kill Kratos so Kratos killed Them.
9.Hercule's mother (That wasn't really a boss fight..But that kinda?)
6.was Hermes and 7. Was Helios
You know I’m wondering how hard would the Hermes boss fight be if the time you had to counter attack him was severely lower lol
Man ever since I watched some of Trevohnn's videos I can't quite look at this game the same way anymore. _What you can't take it seriously anymore?_ Never said I did XD
There needs to be a Timbs of Tartarus mod for this game :3
I literally just finished replaying this game
Posiedon is always my #1
Poseidon is my all time favorite of the first 3 main games.
Hercules is my character boss fight in the game and the God Of War series as a whole (Except the 2018 reboot game).
