Really nice work! Particularly the weathering turned out great. I would maybe recommend a primer before the enamel paint but on the other hand if you want a bit of that orange tone to show through, that seems to work great too
1. Its great to see girls into this hobby, dont see that to often 2. Amazing work it came out great 3. Keep it up and and may the force be with you too
My dad bought that same dremel a year or so ago. Such a useful tool, very Poggers indeed! Keep it up with the great content! I hope to see some Martial Arts based vids in the future!
First off primer I recommend tamiya grey let fully dry then your black coat several coats, after fully drying brush your silver on the muzzle, the look up dry brushing yours looks over weathered in that dept. between that and not priming your handles and using a clear coat instead of a matte coat could have made a good looking blaster to a great looking authentic replica
This was an awesome video. Has Solo is an iconic character and has the most recognizable blaster n STAR WARS history. I am moved by ur work and detail, good job. May the force be with u Master Carly King
Always prime when painting like this, takes a bit longer, but is super helpful, also using a bit of black spray paint facing into the barrel is good, the a little around, adds a nice natural looking bit of weathering and makes it more uses looking. Anyways, other than that great job, really nice looking.
Carly, this is so FREAKIN' cool! Does your awesomeness know no bounds? Methinks not. Please continue to bring us these amazing Star Wars videos. Maybe one day I'll get my man cave I've always wanted... and have enough money to buy/make all these sabers and blasters and such to decorate it. A guy can dream... until then, I'll happily live vicariously through you.
I am absolutely going to be using this video as a tutorial for when I paint a Kyle Katarn Bryar pistol that will be 3D printed. You saved me like $50 bucks. Thank you!
Dremels are amazing!!! So versatile!! I know we’ve been wearing masks for the past 2 years, but when your painting or sanding, it doesn’t hurt to wear a mask and keep the fumes and dust out of your mouth and lungs. Those silver touches look amazing!!
Kenobi once said “so uncivilized”…NO, this is better than any lightsaber, u are so talented. I love the color and “worn out effect”, this looks like a prop used in some movie/good fan film production. Nice job (ALSO congrats for the 19k on yt)
Carly, I know you aren't British but I'm going to say it anyway... you're a wizard. Seriously, continue this series with more toys, it's super enjoyable!
Using the dremel over the X-Acto knife and sculpting tool was a great idea. And I vibe with the worry of using one for the first time. My first time using one was on the metal shielding plate to a Playstation 3 I modded, which was nerve racking on it's own. Finished result of the blaster is pretty neat. I personally would have looked for a way to remove the screw on the grip to hide it's toy origin. But, for a "conversion", you still did a fantastic job!
No body at my school likes Star Wars so thank you for keeping the spirt alive, and may the force be with you
Dang this looks like a legit movie quality prop! I've always wanted to do this with my old nerf guns haha, nice work Carly!
I recommend doing the Nerfs. You can get some really cool results.
@@GreyMatterStew agreed...
6:38 it's amazing how much the dry brushing transforms this - you've got a lot of talent bringing this to life!

It looks REALLY good and high quality, hell yeah, nice work Carly :)
Thank you so much!! Love your profile pic 🙏🏼
Great job! Wouldn't believe it was a bright-colored toy beforehand.

You are so Talented ,I just battlewashed a ultrasaber I had collecting dust.I loved this.
I hope you had better luck getting the spray paint lids off this time. It looks amazing I may have to consider trying it.

Omg so incredible! The arts and crafts are strong with this one!
AWSOME!!! You finally did the Han Solo weathering project, Awesome job!!!!
Loved this video! Get a respirator for future painting projects. Makes all the difference with the fumes.
I did this a few weeks ago with a cheap Mauser toy gun from China. Now it looks awesome.
That looks sooo good I might have to do some stuff like this
Thank you! You should!!
Wow, you did a great job. Loved how the weathering came out. I did one of these a year ago. I’m thinking of 3D printing one.

Great work Carly! Definitely given me a new project for the holidays. It looks so realistic too!
5:35 - prime it with white spray first.
Love this video!
i also have a dc 15 I repainted it by just spraying the whole thing black and just weathering it with white and silver just like what you did
Hey Carly a very important thing when using the dermal is to wear a mask because you don’t want to inhale the plastic
Looks so beautiful.
i am proud of you may the force be with you always
Hells yeah. Blaster goodness goin on here.

A most impressive paint job indeed!!!! I too need to do this and add it to my prop collection =)

I finally have a use for my dremel now!

Love the music! Like Peanuts meets Star Wars! 😀
dope. good stuff dude
Great job 👍🏼
Really excellent work!
Just a nitpick: The canon barrel should not be 100% silver since that version of the blaster is not the rotj one. He had it all black in anh
holy…it legitimately looks like han solo used it himself 🤯🤯
You should list the paints you use
Random question but how did she do her cool background on the wall?
We love an intergalactic arms dealer queen 🤣
This is awesome.
0:17 That's what she said
Wow... Really nice job, Carly! Now, I'm not going to be happy until I make one of my own. LOL!
