Good one, I had INT 650 couple of years ago, today i have BSA Goldie,,,same Red colour. This Big Single is something different. Cant Express in words its abstract. Trust, I find reasons to ride it, its so engaging and amazing.
I also don’t think anybody who rides for long distances or cruises on highways, rides/should ride above 80-90km/h all day long considering the road conditions of our country. 😂
We have better roads now. Proper fenced off highways. We also have better bikes. You can easily hold 110-120 safely. Infract, I feel on most highways, 90-100km/h is a good cruising speed. 80 is definitely slow for covering distances in a timely manner.
That's in ideal condition. But distances warrants cruising at 110 specially, if the highways are smooth and traffic is minimal. Like Mumbai Bangalore for example.
I love the Inty 650 just for the refinement and feel. It's really brave of BSA to get this into the market. Hope it finds its own space and does well rather than trying to compete with the RE twins and disappearing. It's great that we Indians now have high-quality options to choose from, and that should remain.
So many people waiting for the Bear. But I feel they are going to be disappointed. Something about the weight/ergonomics/ride position didn’t sit right with me unlike my time with the Triumph Scrambler even though they are aimed at the same market. That engine and gearbox though is just beautiful. Hopefully the thought out reviews of the Bear like yours will focus this unlike the usual fluff pieces that come out of paid junkets in sunny California
Lovely Video. You are gr8. Your all views always provided real information. Your suggestion helped me to buy Himalayan 450 for which I will always be thankful to you.
A few reviews did mention about the side panel being just hard mounted with rubber stoppers. Without a key. Wouldn’t that be negative as essentially anyone can just take that off and pull away my seat or the battery on my parked motorbike. It’s just a matter of time when people become aware that it doesn’t need a key to be removed…. Or it comes off due to Indian roads
Both bikes looks really nice, but that water cooler gives - in my personal view - the BSA a black eye. Plus the motor delivers the same power as the Interceptor. I guess single cylinder vs parallel twin is a bit apple to oranges technically, but still, the BSA would look so much better without the cooler.
@@bigbearbangalore yeah, I guessed the engineers at BSA knew why they had to put it there. It seems that having that one big cylinder brings some compromises.

Hi Bosky Sir, Compare Goldstar with Shotgun could have been more appropriate at the moment as Classic 650 is yet to launch... Direct rival of Goldstar is Classic 650. But since Shotgun is a lot lot more similar to Goldstar from rider triangle POV.
I wish the bsa have made this a twin 650 like the old goldstar 650, then no comparison was required. Its a better bike but lacks the feel and growl of a twin. Ergonomics, looks, finish basically everything leans more towards the bsa goldstar.
I have the same colour Goldie. I've ridden over 1k and also got its first service done. An awesome machine which I thoroughly enjoy riding. However I've noticed one thing. It has a very audible tappet sound / valve clatter or whatever you call it. I did bring it to the attention of the service centre but they say it is normal. Is it present on your Goldie too?

In my view bsa is easier to maintain in long run because it's single and the service cost will be cheaper to the pocket But a 650cc single is just not the thing to get anything above 400 or 500 should be a twin... Also indian traffic and road conditions only allow a 400 to 500 cc beyond that is not usable... May be on highways that too only few...
