    On a lighter note: I like how they cleverly hide the stones they used to raise the bike stand, covering it with leaves. 😜

    I also don’t think anybody who rides for long distances or cruises on highways, rides/should ride above 80-90km/h all day long considering the road conditions of our country. 😂

      We have better roads now. Proper fenced off highways. We also have better bikes. You can easily hold 110-120 safely. Infract, I feel on most highways, 90-100km/h is a good cruising speed. 80 is definitely slow for covering distances in a timely manner.

    • @saaamaak
      @saaamaak หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That's in ideal condition. But distances warrants cruising at 110 specially, if the highways are smooth and traffic is minimal.
      Like Mumbai Bangalore for example.

    I love the Inty 650 just for the refinement and feel. It's really brave of BSA to get this into the market. Hope it finds its own space and does well rather than trying to compete with the RE twins and disappearing. It's great that we Indians now have high-quality options to choose from, and that should remain.

Something about the weight/ergonomics/ride position didn’t sit right with me unlike my time with the Triumph Scrambler even though they are aimed at the same market. A few reviews did mention about the side panel being just hard mounted with rubber stoppers. Without a key. Wouldn’t that be negative as essentially anyone can just take that off and pull away my seat or the battery on my parked motorbike. It’s just a matter of time when people become aware that it doesn’t need a key to be removed…. Or it comes off due to Indian roads

    Both bikes looks really nice, but that water cooler gives - in my personal view - the BSA a black eye. Plus the motor delivers the same power as the Interceptor. I guess single cylinder vs parallel twin is a bit apple to oranges technically, but still, the BSA would look so much better without the cooler.

    In my view bsa is easier to maintain in long run because it's single and the service cost will be cheaper to the pocket
    But a 650cc single is just not the thing to get anything above 400 or 500 should be a twin...
    Also indian traffic and road conditions only allow a 400 to 500 cc beyond that is not usable... May be on highways that too only few...

    • @bigbearbangalore
      @bigbearbangalore  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, In the long run what you said about maintenance could apply. For short term and mid term the costs are likely similar.
      Why should it have to be a twin above 500cc? Not mandatory to have a twin above this CC in my view. I like the 650 single. It’s relatively smooth and refined and has a load of low rpm grunt which the 400s and 450s done have. And it’s quite a bit lighter than the RE 650cc twin.
      And purchases based on traffic condition is a personal preference. If someone likes a 1200cc motorcycle and can afford it, why not? It’s their money and their joy.

  • @mohba01
    @mohba01 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The RE 650 is very very very far from being a close ratio gearbox. Also, I don't blame you guys as there is a good chance that you've never had an opportunity to ride something with a close ratio tranny. Re engine is also far from being bullet proof. Keeps breaking the gearbox, 3rd gear and 6nd gear to be precise

      Bro, I feel the Classic 650 twin would be the perfect rival for Goldstar 650 singles. But till the launch, it's ok. Hope you will like Bear 650 and waiting for your review on it. Thanks.

    Bear 650 cannot be called a scrambler as it has no offroad capability and plush ride comfort. To me bear 650 is just an updated interceptor. Not a fool to believe what the company RE wants us to believe. Its not a scrambler by purpose. But definitely better than interceptor exception with suspension

    Move aside 650s..... you now have a 1200 twin being offered at 7.8 lacs😂😂..... and I believe the first showroom has opened in Bangalore itself...... please try to review that bike.....but what are your initial thoughts on the Brixton Cromwell 1200?

      Hadn’t heard of that brand till recently and haven’t yet seen that motorcycle. Austrian name, Chinese owners and made in China. Let’s see how it fares. Will visit the showroom and check it out when possible.

      The brand will survive. Some investors will take it up and keep it going. Bajaj who own 49% of KTM may themselves do something. One never knows. But the brand will survive this crisis.!

    Bsa goldstar looks amazing and it does not wobbly like interceptor and you can't go above 80 in interceptor and it has a cheap quality tyres and it is oil cooled engine and re has a worst service with just scam and looting your money.

    there no comparison between parallel twin Vs single 😂 it's obvious twin is better

    • @anirudhhhh
      @anirudhhhh หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not really. It is not as cut and dry as you make it.
      A single provides instant power unlike a twin. It is also lighter. A lot of offroad/dirt bikes are single cylinders for this reason.
      They are a lot easier to maintain and repair because there are fewer parts. They are mechanically more simple.
      Best of all they have a characteristic thump which is satisfying and fun.
      BSA 650 would be my pick.
