  • Hey everyone,
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for subscribing to my channel. I'm sure you're probably tired of everyone telling you to subscribe to their channel, but it really does help with the channel.
This week, this channel hit over 100 subscribers ! Let's shoot for 200 !
I got a Macbook Air M1 to see what hype was all about. Watch the video to see what my thoughts are and how it was transitioning from a PC to Mac.
Also, I wanted to see what the logic board looked like, so I took it out of the laptop to take a quick glance at it.
If anyone is interested, I'm considering doing a video to see if my M1 air has difference in video encoding quality.
Let me know in the comment below if want to see a video on this.
Hopefully, this video provides a different perspective on the M1 Air and will help you decide if it's the laptop for you.
Like, comment, subscribe and I will see ya'll in the next video !

That Macbook Air will last about a good 20 years longer than those windows laptops you just mentioned. That's why you pay more for Macs you get a long lasting product that want slow down too much. Also Macs are more user friendly than PC's you're just not familiar with them yet.

my last macbook pro (entry level) (2017) had factory issue with battery, it's just starts to air blowing - so i have to replace it. 200$. It was overheating if you just start to work with some soft (ableton), keyboard got issue from first day - some buttons were 30% pressing and just stucking.
my previous macbook pro 15' (top specs) (2014) had problem with screen. cover just start to get out and whole monitor starts to looks like some one put some acid on it. in official service they ask me 300$ for replace... i have to make it at not official service. for 200$. after 8 month apple agreed that they did mistake with screens and start to change it for free - but my spent my money already.
the only mac book pro 13 (2012) first retina - was stayed longes (6 years) and did great job. but after time speakers died, then battery, then motherboard.
couple days i took my old samsung intel i5 (2013) slim book from shelf. install windows 10, and it works still. no problems with easy tasks.
so i don't know what you talking about.... 20 years? macbooks.
You have to change laptop every two year. in 3 years you loose 50% of it's price.
Every single macbook after 2012 got factory issue and you strugling to fix it - since it's harder and harder every year.
And even if it's not broken - Mac's are not for professionals in all variety of genres any more - since they cutting software and hardware to supply. (new m1 - i just got it and send it back - since it's not working properly with MIDI hardware (yet) for example)
Mostly they care about TESTs, video editing, video converting, benchmarks and bloggers reviews.

Constant whining about a superior platform is tiresome and often ridiculous. No kidding- the M1 is not mature. Telling people to buy an Intel Mac at this point shows contempt for your less educated viewers.

You can do the M1 thermal mod (see here in you tube) by adding thermal pads to the M1 heatsink, since you just opened the case. That way, the thermal throttling will be put off until later, for faster performance (at least on benchmarks).

Yeah I saw that and want to see how much of a difference there is and how much hotter the bottom of the laptop ends up being. When reencoding a video for a significant amount of time (> 30 minutes), the bottom does get a little uncomfortable to the touch.

Lol I wasn't a fan on apple cause of the same reason but the m1 macs changed my mind completely. You complain a lot tho and are too biased in this review as a PC user

I don't think the m1 changes the experience of using a Mac to be honest, and in some cases, it makes the experience worse. Sure, I complained a lot because everyone says that it's a better user experience, just works, and is intuitive.
Maybe I'm biased as a PC user, but the stuff I said in the video are definitely valid concerns, and let's not even get into USB C issues, and the fact that I can't even get audio out of HDMi with 3 different adapters is straight up ridiculous. With a PC, this was never an issue.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the point I want to make is that Macs are in my opinion nowhere near as intuitive as people say they are.
