I had one of these (1970 non convertible) at age 16 in 1995. Best Oldsmobile made! Extremely fast.
That is the most beautiful Oldsmobile Cutlass I've seen in a long time I would just lose the wing I love that has the 455 convertible with air condition
I had a 1970 SX convertible full power power antenna air conditioning 8-track 455 2 Barrel it was the early 70 I had it for about 25 years I found it for 500 bucks right around the corner from where I live guy said the transmission was shot all it was was a vacuum line I sold it to a guy in Northeast Minneapolis I don't know what he did with it I'm pretty bummed out but life goes on I knew it was going to be a very collectible
I owned a 71 SX convertible back in 1973 and it came factory with the 455 4 bbl carb., A good friend of mine owned a 70 sx hardtop and it had the factory 455 2 bbl at the same time period . My car had a/c delete and factory oldsmobile hubcaps instead of the factoy rally wheels and was a true sleeper
I only had one Olds. It was a '78 custom cruiser which we took on two trips half way across the country and back. It had a true Olds 350 engine that spun a crank bearing with 38000 miles on it and 5 years old. I had it fixed and traded it to a house painter, who made good use of it till he died 4 years later. My mom and dad owned several Olds cars and loved them. I will just stick with my Chevys.

Sx Cutlass...one of the GM musclecar "betweeners"...Right along with the Rally 350, W31, Pontiac GT-37, Buick GS350, Chevelle Heavy Chevy. These SX are special cars for sure. Friend had a 71 Blue with White buckets, dual gate, open rear 455 2 Barrel. He knew it was rare, but none the less he thrashed the crap out of it and dumped it off -the drunk idiot he was...too bad.
The car is Venician RED!! (As said in the video!)A burgandy/maroon color! Beautiful! Where do you see brown???

I owned a 70 Olds Cutlass Supreme with a 455 2 bbl carb the original owner ordered it that way with a w 31 it was my first car when I was 18 I could smoke the tires for over a block I wish I knew how to find it and see if I could buy it back if anyone knows how to do that message me Thanks

Oh shit, It has crank windows and no power locks. I have a Black 1971 SX CONVERTIBLE FULLY LOADED. I love mine and will have It for a long time to come. Well, 70 grand will make sign the title, lol.

Dennis king that's the original Oldsmobile engine color mostly used on the Rocket 350, although most 455 engines on 442's were gold (as well as the W30 and Hurst models)

the stone cold startup comment is meaningless. The quadrajet carb will vent off gas if the vehicle isn't run for a few days and will need to crank a bit in order to fill the bowls. It was obviously previously started for the video.

Allot of the SX 455's had 2bbl carbs this car may have a non original 4bbl Q jet. Where is the build sheet bozo!
