    Mike, I just wanted to thank you. I’ve been watching your videos all year. I’ve learned allot from you and it paid off. My family and I just came back from Lake of the Ozarks and we were using your trolling technics using Bandits and catching slab crappie throughout the week. We had a blast. Looking forward to new videos from you. Tight Lines!!

    Great video! Thank you for posting. I told my wife I wanted to troll crank baits but needed to buy another whole set of rods and reels and she gave me that "im gonna kill you" look. I started trolling from watching your videos it is a very enjoyable time on the LOZ until the big boats come out but we usually get our limit or close to it when the waves get annoying. Been thinking about Truman lake to do some trolling to avoid the big boats. Again thank you Mr. Baker love your video

    Thanks for a great video. I live on Truman Lake in the summertime and your trolling videos on LOZ got me interested in doing it on Truman. It's a little tougher here with the water level changing a lot and so many trees in the lake but I've had a pretty good year trolling. In years past I picked up a walleye now and then but haven't had one yet this year. I think the truck was thing about trolling is trying to turn the boat around at the end of The Run with four lines out. Sometimes it's hard to keep them from getting tangled. Thanks again.

    • @MikeBakerVideos
      @MikeBakerVideos  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When turning, reel your inside lines in a little and speed up. Might help. Or make a wide gradual turn.

    Another great video Mike. How about a "Baker Bit" where you discuss crank baits...likes, dislikes, various brands, must have colors, etc.... I predominately fish the spring and generally having my dad with me we tend to spider rig. If by myself I like single pole fishing with Live Scope. I was thinking of experimenting with trolling cranks for a good late spring/summer technique I could also do with my dad. Looking for some advice and color tips on those crank baits.

    Dang.. Bass Pro Bandit 300s are now $8. I hate losing em. Flicker Shad are cheaper but I seem to catch more crappie on the Bandits. More whites on the Flicker Shad. Dang drum on both. The deeper the water the less drum.

      If you're in Columbia, hit up Tombstone Tackle. 300's are a bit cheaper ($6.50 last I was in) and the fishing chatter is worth it.

    • @MegaChiefDalorian
      @MegaChiefDalorian 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, I've been trolling Loz for last three years, been using flicker shad dominatley the last two on account of bandits cost. This weekend I tied on some bandits, WoW, I caught like five to one on a 300 sun perch bandit the last three days! Two bandits and six flicker share out, and the two bandits kept me busy! The jointed flicker shad seem to catch more also. I use 1oz tadpoles on all poles, fish the buck Creek areas , 6 to 10 mm main channel and parts of the Gravois. I ordered some more bandits today!
      Thanks Mike for making these trolling videos, they defenitley inspired me to try this technique, I use it most of all seasons.

    I noticed you were fishing the tops of the trees with 6 rods. So when you get snagged are you just breaking them off or you reeling up and going back to try to get the lure out. Trolling is the only way we fish for crappies but when we get snagged we reel up and go back and use our plug knockers to get the lures out. Never see any of you guys getting snagged and retrieving them. Like your videos and follow you on the tournament trail.
