Loved my 4 series w/PowerReverse transmission and 48 backhoe. A beast for a relatively light compact tractor. 46 hp as I recall. Next one will be similar, a M model for sure.
I want either the 66r or the 75r, preferably the 75r, but both have operator friendly options, i like the 75r for the hp. They're both really nice tractors
Apologies you are correct. Relooking at the compatibility charts a snow-blower is not compatible with the 4 Family of tractors. They are compatible with the 3 Family and you also still have loader options with the 4 Family that can help tackle snow removal.
@Geoffrey Wood you can get a front mount snowblower that has a long shaft and push tube frame for the front ( but not from deere). Or you could get a Front Link system which the kit includes a front three point hitch and a reduction pto gear box driven off the front of the motor. Very expensive but well made .
Never. Frankly most people just did not use those mid PTO's that much since the only thing it could run was the JD mid-mount mower. IF you really have to have a mid-mount PTO and mower on this size JD tractor, you're going to need to go to a used JD tractor like the 4720 (where it was still an option, and the 4720's are basically identical to the 4066R except that they don't have emissions and the mid-PTO was still an available option on them).
Very thorough & helpful. Thanks for the excellent overview.

The 75R is overpowered at the wheels, and doesn't add hardly anything to the PTO hp. But hey, if you got money to burn... 😕
Well done! This video will sell John Deere tractors around the world!. Kudos American Implement!
Thank you for watching!
Amazing video that make my buy 4075r perfekt ❤ loveit
I love my 4052 R cab but I do wish Jd would put rear remote on the R tractor
Would be nice to see a 485 backhoe in operation hook up and dismount
I really appreciate this video! It is the tractor that I plan to purchase. Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you for watching!
I❤JD 😊
Good job!
Can you de a video on the 5m series ?
Yes! It's in the works!
At 4:12 you say that you can add a snow blower attachment? I didn’t think that was possible?

Thanks for great content.
I wonder could you help me . 1 have a old 4410 and I'm wondering can I reduce the lift and lower speed of the links
Thanks

What kind of snow blower can you add to the front if the 4 series lacks a mid pto?
It would be rear mounted driven by the rear pto
@@AmericanImplement okay that’s what I thought. In the video he mentioned a front mount. Was a little confused
Search inverted snowblower. You still drive forward and in some ways I think they perform better than a front blower.

The JD 4M Series are more like the JD E Series in other tractor sizes. Pretty basic features for a premium priced tractor!

u can tell when a person knows tractors, u can tell when they dont
Thanks for the nice comment! You are exactly right. Britt knows John Deere!
Does the 4044M have the power down hitch?
No, a category 1 hitch
Mid mount mower?
Those kinda fell out of favor, people just did not use them that much.
@@michaelshrader5139 I would buy one
When will JD offer a 4066R with a mid PTO again?
Great question! We’ll have to do some research on this and get back to you.
@@AmericanImplement Thank you. I'm holding off buying a 4066R Snowcab till it comes out.
@@reno4819 FYI no timeline per John Deere

I looked at John deer way to expensive when you can get others with attachments half the price! I'm a big John deer fan but my wallet won't allow it!
JD Green costs a lot of Green to get into. But generally speaking they run like forever so it's still not a bad investment just to get the JD Green.
