- Larry David is forced to find a new country club for him and his wife since he's not welcome at their old country club any more. The new country club is a bit to the right so Larry and his wife gives us their most republican appearance....

Definitely not. This is heavily a joke based on context within American culture. They would appreciate it but not 100% there’s too many references
English here and appreciated the humo(u)r. It's possible to be familiar enough with American culture from the outside to get the stereotype of WASPy Republican country club types. I can't know if I got every single reference, but I got enough that I can see this scene is packed full of them.
@@milfdad Mexican here, and just like the English gentleman, we do get the jokes and references. Also, the reasons why this show is so good are far more than just references to pop and American culture. So much so, that I would bet not even 80% of Americans get them, understand them and therefore like the show. It’s clear that this show and type of comedy is not for everyone.
As a Canadian who is inundated with American culture, I definitely understood the subtlety
