Does the Boost material ever compress and become less responsive?? I haven't worn any of my boost sneakers enough to experience this but am curious and have heard it compresses over time...
riderfan4 I haven't had this issue with any of my Airmax's, even after years of wear... I have a pair of Air Max's that are literally over a decade old and they haven't compressed or popped...
Maybe do a video on solarsoft. I just sold my pair of Nike SB’s, I didn’t even know they had solarsoft insoles but in my experience when wearing shoes for a short amount of time - which most of us probably do considering we have multiple sneakers - I likes a super soft insole much better than a soft outsole like the vapormax or even boost. I tried the solarsoft insole with my NMD’s and I think you’re right we really need some nice boost insoles, when I put the solarsoft in them it was just like the gentlest walk ever
Great video. Thanks for the info. Just got my first pair of Ultraboost 20's and I was curious about the tech. One question: what is the orange thing inside on the bottom?
Great video, can you do an adidas vs. Nike current state and future predictions kinda video? Or where u feel adidas is/needs to go in the future? Interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
Damn bro I’m really loving the videos and the content in general man! Great information, extremely entertaining, clean & aesthetically pleasing editing, presentation, and flow throughout the video etc. And as a Portland boy, Born and raised, I love that you’re holding it down for the city! (Pretty sure I heard you say Portland-if not my bad my ears are still ringing from the gun range.) hope to run in to you and say what’s up when I move back later this summer! Have a good weekend brotha!
Years ago somewhere in my teenage years there were these adidas shoes with air units under the sole and this switch that you could pul out next to an lcd screen on the heel and switch them to 1,2,3,4,5,6 and pump up the units to a certain and desired psi and all. The looks were amazing aswell. 7ve tried to find them on the internet but somehow all the information about them is lost. Strange. But uhm... the adidas and puma technology was very revokutionary back then. The puma disc system, the torsion etc. Those days are sadly gone. I wish the german brought back their super shoes, they deserve it. They are worth it.
By what standarts was the ultra boost the "best" running sneaker of all time? Even at its time there were a lot better shoes for actual competative running.
the thing is that boost needs a sufficient amount of it in order to be extremely comfortable. So it's pretty hard for a thing layer of boost insole to be a game changer. Also that if Adidas provide boost insoles that are comfy, people can swap them in shoes like Jordan retros to improve comfort. Although it would be dope for consumers but that's not what Adidas want to see when one of their main advantage over jordan retro is comfort.
I really dont think nike air is that good of a cushion. It's mostly gimick and the actual good thing is they made shoes lighter compare to rubber midsoles (which isnt a factor today since sneakers use EVA/phylon nowadays). The cushion from nike that does not require a big amount of space is Zoom, which is a completely different stuff than air (when I say air I mean the old air, not the new vapor tech.)
I have a question if anyone can get me an answer. I was eating yesterday and my sister spilled water on my nmds. Ever since than my Boost has seemed to be harder? Does water make Boost hard? Please help me here.
I love the OG Pure Boost, I wish they wouldn't have dicontinued that model. Don't really like any of the other Pure Boost since then. If they were still around that's all I would wear.
My NMD's are actually more comfortable than my UltraBOOST. It's really up to the person, I have wide feet so the NMD's fit much better compared to the narrower UltraBOOST shoes.
Boost are great, but the overall durability and longevity of them is missing. I'm guessing Boost midsoles will not last very long compared to some other soles out there.
boost is thermoplastic polyurethane. It's a hybrid between plastic and rubber. It's literally in your tires. You're essentially wearing tire material on your feet. You can get 1 ton for 3-5 bucks. The sneakers sell from 180-200. It's an overkill and Adidas is making way more money than all of us think. The boost is way too overhyped.
its the fusing of that tho in the way adidas does it that makes the material great, not something that just anyone can do. also, soap costs pennies on the dollar, but they can charge up to $9 a bottle it is sort of the same thing!
Nick Kelly na bro I bought a pair but they are a bit thick so you would need a half size to a size up in your sneakers for them to fit in properly without being to snug
The creator of Adidas is the brother to the creator of Puma
REDLINE 141 also, they were Nazis
Nickolas Sucharew wow you're so funny

yes, like any other running shoe
yes but i feel like if you if you dont wear them for a while they recover...
riderfan4 I haven't had this issue with any of my Airmax's, even after years of wear... I have a pair of Air Max's that are literally over a decade old and they haven't compressed or popped...
my ultraboosts definitely decreased in comfort after wearing them for a while. The boost just feels mediocre.

2:05 sorry but the first basketball sneaker with full length boost was the D Rose 5
Metallic Desperation not full length
Metallic Desperation it's like 80% boost
Oh ok nvm lol
It actually was full length, but the forefoot was encased in eva I believe
Look up the tech specs it is full length
Great video man! Keep it up! Btw, i still have my Energy Boost. I am using it even if the prints have alrdy given way. The boost is still in tact.
thanks! and thats dope lol, i never bought an energy boost, but my wife has a pair, likes em
Great video. Thanks for the info. Just got my first pair of Ultraboost 20's and I was curious about the tech. One question: what is the orange thing inside on the bottom?
I agree fully on what you said about yeezys. I would still buy them with no hype because they are just a great looking shoe with great comfort.
Very nice information from you,
.. Thank You

The boost gets firmer over time and it shrinks and crinkles up just a bit over time and it can yellow no matter how much its cleaned
haha i loved how you slowly maneuvered that ball into the shoe.
will boost shoes ever crumble like retro jordans do?
I don't have a pair of Ultraboosts, yet. I do have a pair of the Triple Black NMD R1s. Those have boost in them but how does it differ from UB?
willow514 it's 10x better in UB imo

for some reason boost hurts my feet. Vans are more comfortable for me. I think I just prefer a sturdy bottom. Still fw the models of boost though
i found these same pumas at the outlet, i posted them in my instagram
I’ve heard that after six months the ultra boosts aren’t as good and you should buy a new pair, is that true?
first boost for me was the yeezy v2, hella comfortable. not sure how they compare to other boost models.
Love the history! Didn't know that Puma and Adidas were made by brothers. Great video!
Nike rarely uses lunar anymore and I miss it, I like my 2016 hyper dunks with zoom but I also miss the 2014 with lunar

Mike Wang and Sneakers So what did you think about Nike putting air bubbles is the heels of shoes?
I really dont think nike air is that good of a cushion. I want to buy this shoe but it is very expensive but I do not know the features. Adidas boost hd 19 ?
Personally I think the Vapormax looks kinda suspect, the upper is nice. I love Nike but adidas is killing it right now. Great video.
what are good adidas shoes with boost for 80 or under
#1 fact boost is comfy but way over hyped
tru
is it not the most comfortable technology out? asking because i dont have anything with boost yet lmao
it is so far the most comfy tech out there, but it's not mindblowing comfy. people out there overhyping the comfy. that's what he tried to say
i commented before i watched. i see what you mean
Have you ever tried boost? And it can be made more comfortable too
You should do a video on Asics gel
yooo this was great didn't know all that

agreed, that model and sole really was unmatched by the newer PBs they have made, but I do like the current PB model since its wider
So is it safe to say Kanye made boost really pop off and the hypebeast stuck with it?
Problem with fact number 5... boost doesn't disintegrate but I assume you meant deteriorate in terms of cushion and they most definitely do..
Boost x Undftd? Will also look forward to that. 👍🙈
I want to get the Ultraboost 4.0 Triple Blacks but the hypebeasts will probably snatch them all
could you send me a link of where you got your shoe racks? (the ones in the background

boost is very comfortable but definitely a stretch to say your feet won't hurt from standing all day. comfort and support are very different.
Agree and disagree, I have worn boost for 12 hr weddings I DJ and 9/10 times my feet feel great by the end of the gig!
