I've been buying Nike for 18 years from the Air-max, shock and recently tried the zoom tech, a set would last me 3-5 years depending. Since my accident, I have a lower back problem and I must say that the zoom is one of the most comfortable shoes that I'd ever bought and owned by Nike, the cushioning makes me forgot that I'm even wearing shoes, I'm also a bit picky when buying new shoes, if it doesn't appeal to my liking, I'd wait for months until one comes along that does. But the zoom is one of the best choices that I've currently have made.

I had some nike free around 2017. At the time I didn't know what shoes I had but they felt smooth like when I ran my steps felt in sync. The best way to visually describe it would be like playing Mario vs sonic at the Olympic games; when you get the perfect timing it just makes you save energy and increases your performance. I have some pegasus 39's rn but I can't replicate the same feeling. I believe it's due to how high I lift my legs when I run so the thinner shoe gives me a better transition compared to bulkier shoes. Wish I knew if they were 3.0, 4.0, or 5.0 .

There's also Duralon, which is essentially an alternative to rubber, but actually soft foam for lightweight on the outsoles like Presto for that almost barefoot feel with some slight cushioning. And Cushlon, such as the AJ 11 CMFT which is similar to Duralon, but for cushioning on the midsole.

I gots the Air 270 and the heavier you are the better..... I put a few more pounds on and now I'm liking them better. The Pegasus 35 are just magic as far as running.... Reacts are like Nike's Boost.... Reacts however feel so light it's like you are wearing nothing. I have the Uncaged Ultra Boosts and I like running in those but they are a bit flexible and run a tad large compared to my Saucony Everun Freedom ISOs. Oh in the Nike Airmax 97 I blew them everytime....very pissed. Nike used to replace your shoes for free if they blew out.... if they had ZERO evidence of a nail or anything and they blew on their own.... they'd replace them, but they stopped doing that shit...sadly. So my first pair blew.... no idea how... then my replaced ones also blew and I gave up on the shoe even though I loved the 97 Air Max.

I've had one pair blow because of a nail . They're durable and I love them .
As far as running in them for long distances I tried and they're not for that for me .
I wear Nike all over except to run in .
I wear Hokas , Brooks for running . Maybe the Nike React is okay . I did run in Nike Pegasus for years until I had spinal cord surgery.

The Frees are good for crosstraining and HIIT. I’m a bigger dude (6’3” 260) so they feel good when you’re weight training, but if you’re more of a runner I can see why you don’t like them. I usually switch between the Metcon 5s and Metcon x Frees in the gym
