I find these to be the most satisfying videos. I've only recently discovered them, but they are EXTREMELY captivating. The skills...the unbelievable timing, the simple tools....simply amazing. I can't stop watching them. If I could only wish for one thing, (in some of them) is to know what some of the foods ARE. Most are obvious...but sometimes I wonder what they just added...or if that's cheese or cabbage you just added. Not looking for recipes...just an understanding of what I'm watching. Even a couple subtitles would be SO appreciated. Thank-you so much for showing us your awesome skills.
For many of these people, their parents did the same before them and they've done this all their lives... family perfected recipes for sauces and its nothing to them is what they've always done... doesn't make it any less incredible though
@@james35124 I suspect you are bang on, James. But because they do what they do so effortlessly, shouldn`t undermine the skill involved. Why do I literally have tears streaming down my face watching sweet old grandpa diligently, proficiently, and loving make those cookiepops?!? G-d bless him! I hope he’s making a nice profit at his age!
People's thought about No.9 grandpa is a bit misunderstanding. May be he is doing that job for living but you gotta understand cutural difference. Old people who work on the street in Korea does not mean they are always poor people, some of them are landlords or just bored people who don't want to be in their place and want to do somthing constructive. They've lived very hard life so just do nothing after retirement makes them anxious even they have enough money for living. The No.9 grandpa might not be in these category but who knows? If he is actually a landlord who has several buildings with hundred thousand of dollors monthly rental fee
For those who are wondering what he is making on 03:00 it's a Korean traditional treat called Dalgona. It's a mixture or brown sugar and baking powder. It gives a bitter sweet taste. Tastes effin good if you give it a good ratio.

All i gotta say is 6 was probably my favorite. I didnt know where it was going, with the honey comb. then i figured out that was waffle batter making very fancy waffle bowls, but then he added the oreo and honeycomb. Which just looked good but little did i expect that was supposed to be an ice cream cone, a fresh waffle cone and some fresh honeycomb with oreos and ice cream just cant beat that.

Having lived in Seoul, Korea twice I had the wonderful experience of street food. Korea is an amazing place to visit and to live.
I lived there for a year in '94-95'. It was a lonely year but my one true pleasure were the markets and street food stalls.
