Hi! So I just cooked this and I want to specify that when putting the rice in the rice cooker SET IT TO QUICK COOK OR STEAM. I cannot say this more clearly. I put the rice cooker on the regular “white rice” setting and after ten minutes the eggs were sill raw. So I figured my cooker must be different and I’ll just let it go till it’s done. I was wrong. My veggies were mushy, the eggs were hard boiled, and the rice was uncooked. So I figured, “oh! I’ll just put it back in with some water an top and steam it!”. Wrong again. Now the bottom of the rice is raw, the top of the rice is now risotto, and I’m sitting here disappointed in myself. Please. Set it to steam, not cook. Don’t be like me.
I tried this too with a regular rice cooker. It totally dif not work out. The rice just below the eggs were raw and hard. Some of the egg white got stuck to the base of the rice cooker and it too me hours of soaking and gently removing it. Very dissapointed with something that garnered 40 mil views.

Isn't this basically just a fancy fried rice? The rice cooker boiled all the excess water and what's left is very hot oil. You can even see some of the egg white getting a bit crispy, something that usually happens when frying eggs above a certain temperature and time. I guess this is the way to cook fried rice with freshly cooked rice.
her ricecooker seems to have a lot of controls, I only have the one where you switch it down to start cooking. 🙁

Thanks for the heads up!
I tried this too with a regular rice cooker. It totally dif not work out. The rice just below the eggs were raw and hard. Some of the egg white got stuck to the base of the rice cooker and it too me hours of soaking and gently removing it. Very dissapointed with something that garnered 40 mil views.
😂😂😂 life is a bit..sometimes .
