Good video ,i am going to do both doors on my 92yj , I plan on drilling a small hole at the end of each crack where possible to prevent chasing the crack when welding. One of the most common causes of the cracks other than age is the door latch adjustment. When i bought this jeep the doors were out of adjustment an slamming the door shut to get it to latch. I adjusted the latch on each one ,the adjustment is the post that that the door latches into . The driver side was the worst the adjuster was rusted solid ,required removing the post an bracket to repair an adjust. Note it takes some trail an error to get the adjust meant correctly am surprised at how easy the doors close an latch .This takes the crash an slam away an the damage from impact to the window frame. I hope this helps anyone reading.
Great video! I have an '89 that I just got and it has the same issues in the driver side door, had planned on doing the same with some light welding but awesome to watch someone forge that path before me! Can't wait to see the other projects you have in store.
Well done - many hack YT'er's would do well to learn how to keep DIY videos moving the way you have. Moving on to see if you address putting the door latch system back together. Thanks
Hey there quick question. I’m having trouble with getting my Miller to make an arc with the door. Should I be using a specific wire fire welding on this lighter material. I’m using gas shield .035 hard wire at the moment. Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

I have had no formal training. The are lots of videos available on TH-cam on how to MIG Weld. Practice on some scrap metal of a similar thickness to get you settings right. It’s not too hard just takes some practice
Going to pick me up 2 today very excited!!!
restoring my yj jeep doors. you helped a great deal friend.

Awesome video. My next project on my YJ. Then building some fender flares. Thinking aluminum

Good job@
Just brought a 90 YJ .. outside door handle does not open door, do you have any recommendations for where to get new handles and latch assembly??
The one thing I’m here for you left in the damn door
my wrangler 1995 YJ 4.0 cannot speed more than 120 KM any one can advice plz?
Where did you get the replacement parts?
Weather stripping etc.
I was able to find most of what I needed on RockAuto.com
It is currently a little harder than normal to find parts in stock due to covid.

I can relate 😁. Sorry for the slow response, I just saw this message now
made me laugh i got the same crack in the door
Same here both doors
it's a feature, not a bug :)
Nice video. I have the same problem. My question is... can anyone use that kind of welding you did? Or is some sort of training required... thanks.

This my 93 jeepj, exactly....
Everyone has those cracks
Yes, so it seems
Like the channel name , can relate to it
Make stickers of the name and sell
It's legit
Disliked because the one thing I needed to see removed was left out of the "complete" restore
I’m not sure where you saw “complete” restore.
Sorry for you disappointment
Anoying music
shut up the music is great
Any requests?
