How’s it holding up? I’ve been seeing people installing the gator clip from the top down not pushing the gator pin up like you did. But I like your method
Wow! I wish my TJ had that kind of access and space to reach the handle! I fixing to bore through the metal in order to reach the inner shim to snug it down tight. It is IMPOSSIBLE to grab, reach, pull or push into place. Wish I could meet the asshole engineer that designed that ridiculous door panel!
13:07 From working on a ton of jeeps it looks more like your door hinges need adjustment not 13:47 “the trick” of adjusting the windshield. Door looks too tight to the B pillar body panel
After installing the new door handles the locks don't operate correctly. The handle doesn't pull the rod (that runs down and under the window and back up to the latch) up far enough to complete the action needed to open the latch. Being in that partially "open" position does open the latch but causes the locking action to freeze up - if you lock the door in that condition you can't unlock the door without a complete disassembly. What a total PITA!
this has to be the best video ever on the gator clips and also the cheesy clip spring fix... kudos to a job well done!👍
That cotter pin was genius level 1000
Nice tip! Appreciate it! Trying to find out how to adjust the door handle. Passenger side opens from the inside but it wont open from the outside.

You got that right!
Is there only one of those ratcheting triangular pieces that lock the clips in ??
There should be two, one on each side of each handle.
Awesome! Can you do a video on repairing/restoring the door mechanisms and locks?

What size cotter pin did you use?
Don´t U think the hinges are the ones that need adjustment? I guess that is why your door is not closing properly. Yeah I know it´s too late.
Thanks for the great video. I cannot find the "autex 146460" on amazon or any where else. Can you point me in the right direction?
Oo
Lol how do you remove the inside panel?
AutoZone sales the clips, they did when I did mine years ago.
Love your Jeep! Are the interior door panels custom made?
do you have the link for the autex clips?
Can find the clips
Remove the inside panel and then the glass. After that, everything else is easier!!!!!!!!!!
Can you post your video for the community?
Thanks!
Good shit
