Good job! Definitely made me feel more comfortable about doing the job myself.
Going to do my first Spring thaw this year!
I hope to see you there
Thank you for the video. Some video shows replacing the INA inner cam bearings but I guess its just preferance.
Awesome job! Thank you! I had a little bit of trouble snapping the wire “clips” to the inner ring, but worked it out..
je n'ai pas la vis sur ma 911T de 1972 il y a une languette et les deux vis droite et gauche
Great job on the Jeep. I hope mine looks this good when I am done restoring it
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for ABSOLUTELY NUTHIN
I was really hoping I would get to actually see you install the fuel pump but you blocked the entire shot, lol. I know others are hard timing you and I wanted to also sooo :P
Where did you get that front bumper valance?
It was on the car when I purchased it. It is manufactured by RUF and part of the original SCR package from the late 1970’s
These are interesting units. The original is VDO and after removing the one on my survivor 68 911 S., it was clear it had stuck on the shaft after 25 years of improper storage. So the unit appears to be the same as yours. I'm not sure if the three wire system is based on variable resistance, or variable inductance with the gauge sending out an AC signal. I'm not going to hook up my oscilloscope to find out... at least , not yet. The comment about the sending unit providing a nonlinear output that matches the tank volume (made by another poster) could be quite correct. In addition, I always check the operation of the new part before going to the trouble to reinstall. Stuff today is just not made like the old German parts... sadly. Thank you for the video. We need more people working on their own cars.
Would i need to change the driveshaft if my car is manual? And the donor car is manual too :
That I am not sure of. Sorry
Good stuff
I would recommend adjustable pushrods saves so much work and time.
Hello and thank you for the great detailed video. What kit did you use for gaskets, tensioners, and rocker locks. I am in the process of replacing the tensioners on my 99 Wide Glide...........
Great info
Those rear pads are soaked with brake fluid and need to be replaced.
The inner shoe was ready to Explode!
It’s great too see the YJ is still around
Had mine for a few years now and I love it. Not the best Jeep for today’s interstate speeds but it does everything else amazing.
you chose to block the view of the tank while reinstalling the pump assembly. an ‘oh no’ moment…
Congratulations! It's a good feeling when the bike starts up after a big repair.
Nice, what year is your bike and how many miles. Thanks, I enjoyed the cam tensioner vids, very well done!
Great Job. Ty 😊
Hey buddy your not invisible recording your back doesn't really help anyone
Thanks for watching
I appreciate the honesty on the project motivation lapse. I always try to remember the words of the great Zig Zigler, "The motivation comes after the work begins"
Excellent job , as you quoted your bike in kms, do you happen to be Canadian and if so where did you source your replacement gaskets ? Thanks Bob
Did you have to drain your tank before hand?
It’s better if you do.
For me motorcycling is all about getting out there and enjoying the journey. Engine breakdowns like this one are a huge disinsentive to people even thinking about buying a twin cam motorbike. Harley twin cam chain tensioner failure if not picked up on early can lead to complete engine failure as all the debris get flushed through the oil pump which chokes off oil to other parts of the engine. If you/re lucky like this bike owner, you possess the necessary mechanical skills and the specialised tolls to tackle the job. The other alternative, if you're wealthy, is to take it to the Harley dealer and pay exorbitant fees for them to do the job. So the question is, why would i ever buy a twin cam motorbike that carries an in built time bomb built into it that has the potential blow up a 1000 miles from home? Save yourself a lot of tears, stress and money, if you're going to buy a motorbike, make sure its one that hasn't got a twin cam engine.
Did you replace the check valve fuel line??
What an idiot ! He says he going to show you how the pump goes in the tank then he stands in front of the camera !
You talk too much.
Thank you for this video! I need to do the same on my police bike
You are the worst youtuber ever. Was looking forward on learning how to replace the kit... you fast-forward it. Then, at least, how to enter the assembly into the tank, YOU SOB PUT YOUR BACK TOWARDS THE CAMERA. Block me if you may.
Useless video
Thanks for the confidence to do my own .
You were in front of the camera when installing the pump
Do you have a video showing how to do an oil change?
2:22 Is it supposed to have a band clamp around the boot on the shaft?
Did he mention how many miles are on his bike
Fail. Nice back and t-shirt, which check valve to conect to fuel pump? etc. .c.c.c.c.c
Nice to see your back rather than seeing the pump go back in the tank. Also which check valve? does it matter?
Good job@
Thank you for this video. I had replaced mine and I totally forgot about the damn pen. Thank you now my gauge works. Thank you so much.
Can you to this for me for a fee?
Well done on the job and all the effort you put in with videoing it. I think I would have added new inner cam bearings and new lifters too while it was apart. How's it running now after 8 months? Thanks for the vid.
Well done !! Any idea how to detach the rear brake line hose that connects the actual break line right by the rear driver side tire ????
Did you use a sealer on the air intake manifold? I replaced mine with no sealant, which I believe is the proper way. I guessed at the torque on the bolts. The car runs super rich. I’m thinking a intake manifold leak?
I have an 01 roadking that is having the same issue. I am gonna try this and hope it works. Do you have the hyperlink to where you purchased the replacement parts? Anything else i should replace while im in there. Any advise is much appreciated.
I would probably replace the filter as well. It has been a while since I did this job but I believe the parts are readily available.
Dont waste time on this one you will learn nothing
I was wondering what the crankshaft runout was, I guess you didn’t check it?
