Great question! I like to keep 3 key things on ONE platform: email, opt-in forms, and SMS. A huge advantage of using Klaviyo popups is that they're organically integrated with everything else. Additionally, Klaviyo has improved their popup features dramatically over the last year, so there are SO many amazing opportunities. The last time I've used Wheelio was about 2 years ago. The "wheel" did perform really well, according to the Wheelio dashboard. However, the backend user experience was just terrible! It was SO hard (or even impossible) to make simple visual changes, and I'm not even talking about more advanced stuff. It's been a while since then, so they might have improved their backend. I wouldn't spend time on external popup tools, though, if you're already using Klaviyo for your email - their popups are great, they have good templates, and if you spend some time learning the tool, you can build some awesome stuff.
Hey Kasey! Loved the video. I am looking into email marketing freelancing and there is one topic I am not able to find clear answers on. I have heard that if you are collecting emails on your site you should have it written in your websites terms and conditions page. If I find a client do I have to do it for them or is that something they are supposed to look after. Also how do I collect consent on the sign up form. Is it compulsory to do so?
Hey Kunal! Regarding the Terms & Conditions - as an email consultant, you should recommend that your clients add whatever is needed to their website policies, and help them with a boiler plate wording for that (but add a note that they should consult with their legal consultant regarding anything law-related). About consent in the signup form: when it comes to email signup, all you need to do is have clear language that explains that people are signing up for an email list to receive marketing emails. When it comes to SMS signup, you need to have a block of legal text, it’s usually provided by the SMS service you use. Hope this helps!
