    Thanks so much for doing this review. I'm also a longtime Jabra Evolve 40 user, and I quite like it, but I feel like it's time for an upgrade. I didn't want to go too high-end, so this look perfect! Again, thanks for the sample audio, that was tremendously helpful to make my final decision.

    Great review thanks - not seen (or heard) this one!
    Also, have you changed your channel banner? Looks great!

      Thanks Neil, I hadn't either till it popped up on Amazon, a nice little mic.
      Banner is still the same 🙂 it'll change soon, something a lot more green 😉

    great review my friend! I was looking for a comparasion with the Jabra and finally found it. I suggest putting this on the thumbnail. Well done!

    What is the sound quality like if it is just sitting on a desk? In a video call I would like to keep the mic out of frame, and was wondering if this is a step up from a built in mic on a logitech webcam

      It's OK but does get quite a bit quieter by 0.5m

      This distance idea is the review I've been missing from TH-cam TBH.

    Is this microphone any good at a normal distance of around 20 - 30 inches?

      It’s not great. This style mic really needs to be much closer

    Another great review, as usual. By the way, which Lavalier microphone do you use? It gives an amazing audio quality to your videos! Thanks

      I use the Sennheiser XSW-D kit as my lav mic setup - it runs into a Tasman DR70D which I use to record audio. I have a video on my channel on my setup actually: th-cam.com/video/Rx6Gzajyf3w/w-d-xo.html

    on the sound test the mic sounded very tinny

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think there’s probably some EQ settings you can change but at this price point I think it’s Ok. Buying higher quality used gear may be a better choice if you don’t like the sound of this one 🙂

  •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hm, but what mic are you using to record this video in you shirt?

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sennheiser XSW-D and ME-II mic recorded through a Tascam DR70-D 🙂

    Does it pick up background noises, like when there are people talking in the other side of the room? Thank you!

    This is sound bar I'm having Sony (5.1ch Home Cinema Soundbar System with Bluetooth® technology | HT-S500RF) , So I can hear the sound from this sound bar. If I purchase Shure MV5C , Is it possible to do conference calls by combine this two

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you hook the sound bar up to your computer and then this mic into your computer you could use the sound bar for sound and the mic as your input. I don’t think you could do it through your television
