    "It's like, this thing doesn't want to get fixed!" Oh, man; how we, XJ/MJ owners, can relate to that :D
    I was wondering what makes your videos so nice to watch; I think I found the answer: they all are very RELATABLE to other Jeep owners :)
    (I'm commenting to almost all your videos to positively influence the youtube algorithm; you deserve so much more viewers and subscribers!)

    That cluster swap went as well for you as it did for me. I’ve swapped the 2 gauge one back in when I hit the speedometer cable issue. I picked up a universal cable from Autozone but it used a different connector to the transfer case. The sensor swap did allow for readings to the oil/temp gauge at least.

      They've already despawned, I don't know where they went but a few days after I found them they either all died or ran away

    Holy shit man the fucking mice just chilling in the glove box while you're there I can't lmao. Have seen nests in vehicles before, but never them just chilling there except in one Toyota in a field.

      yeah they were totally chill. I drove them to Milwaukee and dropped some off at Kyle's house. Then a cat Nobody had ever seen before appeared and ate them. The ones that stayed in my truck have since despawned

    I see you ARE back in Wisconsin! Very entertaining as always. I just gotta ask the question, aren't ALL your vehicles winter beaters? Come on back to the plastics place. I'll be the only one there you recognize. 😛 Willard.

    Ok. So I’m 99% sure your fuel gauge wasn’t working in your full cluster, due to a different ohms rating on the fuel level sending unit. It cheges from 86 to 87 years. My 86’ XJ is a ratio of 00-90 ohms if I’m not mistaken. 00 being empty, and 90 being full. I had to Jerry rig an aftermarket one in the tank, because they no longer make one for that year, and of that ohms rating.

      I see, that makes sense. Yet another 86 model year moment

    Does your ‘86 fuel guage slosh back and forth? Mine does 😁

      @WAEMIDIV  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It does not, does yours have the 2.8L? If so, that might be why. The carburetors required a bit of a different fuel pump

      It was a 2.8 (now 3.4). I guess your 4 cyl had an electric pump in the tank. I’ve never worked on or owned a 4 cyl Jeep so you might be onto something. My tank is a repro from Rock Auto and definitely has no baffling.

      @Gearsandoil Yeah the 2.5 uses an electric fuel pump. That's gotta be what the difference is
      I drove a carbureted YJ with a fuel gauge that bounced around, I guess the electronic ones don't do that
