As someone who grinded like crazy in the original FFT and the rest of the old school FF series, my own thought is...I can blame them? If this game has a 4x speed because they know you are going to grind like crazy, and this reviewer said he turned off his brain for most of it, why not include a feature that automates some of that? Or, as people who don't always have time for needless grinding, why not just reduce the need for grinding

I'm glad he was passionate about the review, but this game does not lack story telling depth, Flio herself is an incredibly deep character, everyone in this game feels like they have their own personality's. The people truly suffer most quests dont have a happily ever after. the grinding is by comparison to black desert remedial. and the 4 hero's of light (which is not a trop, its a SE continuity title dating back to the first final fantasy bravely defaults art style stems from final fantasy 3, tactics and advanced.) themselves seem out of place, their so bright and hopeful. There needs to be a differentiation between a grind and enjoying leveling up for new abilities and such. Saying grind automatically has a connotation that you Have to do it but it sounds like you were enjoying playing the game extra as a means to unlocking abilities. Doesn't sound like a grind to me.
