WARNING: This capture card has unfixable audio desync issues with most Windows setups, I have two and can confirm what many say online. Weather I use it with an iMac running windows and Streamlabs, or with a state of the art Windows PC with OBS, its the same audio desync over time. Elgato support tried to tell me it was my setup, even though I tested it with nothing else plugged in and I have the best CPU on the market, 64GB ddr5 ram, and an rtx 4070.
Hi Darkside. I would probably agree with Elgato if this has occurred with two different HD60X capture cards, not PC performance but maybe USB device configuration. I have had stuttering/ audio sync issues with my Cam link, this was solved by changing USB of my Cam link and HD60X capture card. From this issue I have heard Elgato capture devices can have some issues like this when sharing the same BUS with other USB bandwidth hungry devices. The other thing I would try, is setup a separate audio input device in OBS, opposed to gaining the audio trough the capture device.
@@JakeVirdenTech I appreciate the reply but I've tried everything including different computers and I see many others reporting the same issue! The workarounds that temporary fix it should not be necessary but I can confirm that even those don't work permanently.
I have a question, where can I find the audio option to add from my xbox coming from my elgato. I do not see that option when was looking for that audio option.
Cool 👌 so it would all be the same HDMI OUT to the TV but then the USB to the laptop in my case, or would it be both HDMI and USB into the laptop? Or makes no difference ?
Hands down best video on this capture card. Finally got mine in the mail today. I have a few more questions because I'm a noob but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Thank you for helping me with the majority of it 💚
I can’t get mine to work. I’m trying to capture my gameplay from my Xbox one. I only have my laptop and the tv that I use to connect my Xbox to. I watched another video and a guy said I need 2 tvs? And a gaming pc? Can you please help? Thanks
Great video what colour settings did you tweak in OBS? I've got the hd60X and my image quality was a bit dark, and not quite right so wondered what I'd need to change
Thank you Rhys! So I think the HDR on my TV messed up the colors on my recordings. it heavily saturated it so I adjusted the colors in OBS and it has been working better ever since.
Hi Dallas, I would make sure the correct Mic is selected in the party chat service you are using. Also check windows and make sure you have the right mic selected.
So can I use my PS5 headphones (Steel Series 7p+) while I'm recording with the Elgato and still be able to record both video and audio? Or do I need to have a different set of headphones plugged into my PC and get the sound from there somewhere. For clarification I have my ps5 going into a PC monitor that doesn't have it's own speaker's
I have tried every possbile setting and for the life of me cannot get any audio from console to obs, i have a series x but i get no game audio what so ever, i have even copied you by selecting audio knput and setting the hd60x but still nothing any help would be great

@Jake Virden Tech actually when I play without hd60 x it takes 1440p 120hz and same with h60x alone and console..together I don't know what is going on..

@@AngelMemba I gave up on using it which is sad because I spent a good amount of money getting everything together for making vids. If you have any tips you’d be willing to sure that’d be cool
I have looked into this because I am figuring out this issue currently. I am starting to learn how to stream and I have came to the sad truth. You need a cable headset and a link cable to go into the elgato and your controller while the female end is for your headphones with a mic attached. You might have to mess with audio settings in the capturing platform you use. I am still figuring that out for me.
Had my Elgato HD60x few days ago. But it just flashes red light or none. Ive tried different USB 3.0 C cable and HDMIs. Plugging and unplugging it. Still the same outcome.
Dang I haven't heard of any errors like that on the elgato capture cards. I would try a firmware update through the 4K capture utility if it picks up the device.
Bru my screen split into 3 and had a grey line running across the boarder, I thought my monitor broke so I bought a new one, still same out come. Home Screen works but when I go into my gameplay it splits. I need answers
Anyone know why when I have mine plugged in and launch a game, the screen goes black for a second, then when it turns back on the game looks terrible. It’s all grey and fuzzy looking. Then when I go back to the dashboard it fixes itself? I have both series X and S and both have the same problem. I have tried different HDMIs. Nothing.
Hi @nwaveg. I would maybe check some of the HDR Settings on your TV/Console/Capture Card. I haven't had this happen, but my screen does blink for a second when HDR games are being launched. The Elgato4k Capture utility might have some drivers and settings that can help also.
I have a m1 Mac and a ps5 when I connect the game capture card I can see the game displaying on my monitor but on obs/laptop it says no signal I looked online for help for about a week now does anyone know what the issue is and if anyone can help me please

Are there any other capture cards that's just as good as the elgato and work with 2.0 usb?
Yep pretty much Mista Cadilac! The only thing is your capture will always top out at 60fps when it comes to your stream and recordings, Since we don't really have 120fps content yet. But the capture card will pass through the 120hz will you are gaming so you can have the best gaming experience while streaming or recording.
I’ve got a problem. So @ 9:20 what if my Elgato doesn’t send that audio through? How do I fix this? I just recently got my capture card for streaming and I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE to try and figure this out 😭
Hi Jayy. It could be a number of things, most likely it is in your audio properties in OBS. You can either setup an individual audio device and select the capture card or set it up through the capture capture device. I cover this around the 8 minute mark.
So I have everything set up, but I’m not able to play in 1440P 120 - it only Caps out at 1080P 120 - when I try to change to 1440p120 , it says that my resolution isn’t supported and goes to 1080P 120 - why?? I’m on Xbox series S
I am not super familiar with PlayStation, but you can maybe do it like I did with a PS desktop app with chat and have a chat input in OBS. Your PS5 chat should pass through HDMI with the game sound so you can probably make an audio input channel for your capturecard.
