This is a comment not a complaint I loved this car except for one reason. From 1-15 mph the car is in hybrid. At 16 it switches to gas. I wish Toyota made it up to 20or 25 mph before gas. Then I can justify hybrid. Again it was a deal breaker for me but it is a well built car I strongly considered.
Great review and super looking car! I just recently purchased a 2021 Camry SE and I'm really enjoying it. Except for one thing...the center console lid rubs and squeaks horribly against the side bolsters of the seats. I noticed in your review; the passenger seat appears to also sit tight against the console lid. Did you encounter any squeaking from the materials rubbing against each other? Keep up the awesome videos. Absolutely love your channel and watch every video!
The only 3 things I missed about my Camry LE was its comfort, quietness and shock absorber. I hate that it had no rear wiper and wider body making it hard to maneuver around small streets in my neighborhood. Everytime someone double parked and waved me to go forward, I got so nervous that I would scratch my Camry!
Toyota has always done well with their hybrids. But, I would strongly recommend NEVER pay over MSRP for any new vehicles! I also wouldn't pay extra for the XSE glass-roof. I don't even want that glass roof at all, yet they are charging customers extra for that? NOT ME! It's an up-charge option forced upon the consumer for over $1300. Good luck when the roof shatters for no obvious reason, because that is going on. There is a defect somewhere in the body that causes the glass roof to shatter on its own. I also don't like the fact that Toyota is stating the engine takes 0W8 engine oil. That's like water!!!!
Camry's last forever, was the 2nd owner (many years ago) and the car ran until 300,000 miles with a major transmission failure but no problem in between.
Which bodes well for the hybrid models, since they don't really have a transmission so nothing to fail there. The eCVT is really just a planetary gear set, it's not a "transmission" in the traditional sense.
Wouldn't bet on that now. Parts are becoming of the cheaper quality (it's starting with flimsy under-body coverings) and will creep into other aspects of Toyota. Also, far too many engines to say with assurity that Camry's will continue to last forever.
@@jahmanborneo1343 The Toyota Hybrid powertrain is not "new". It's a bulletproof engine and hybrid system that's been around over 25 years now (now in its latest iteration). It's the most reliable vehicle made.

@@bobknight6394still that’s not an excuse as to why we can’t get the LE here in Canada. I would like to see Toyota come out with a Camry Limited trim level, more of an upscale entry level luxury model. It would bridge the gap between the discontinued Avalon and the Toyota Crown. Add wood grain paneling on the door around the gear shifter, and the steering wheel. Include more soft touch material for an overall more refined elegant Camry. Of course, the Limited trim would come at a higher MSRP.
Toyota is having major manufacturing & design problems right now with their newer Tundras & Tacomas. I'd wait until at least the 2027 Camry comes out to buy one of these.
TNGA body on frames have had the hiccups. This drivetrain is bulletproof. It's an updated version of their bulletproof 2.5L hybrid engine and ECVT on hylander and rav4s
Hi Just wondering if you can talk about the price of insurance in Ont, Canada for the Camry. Wow i called up they wanted 195 per month for an Se and 210 for the xse wow im paying only 80 dollars now for my 2006 impala.. same policy .. the insurance is taking all the gas mileage benefits away .. this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this car is to help clean the planet less emissions .. WHY so much i've seen no Camry lithium fires yet???
Auto theft rampant in Canada especially near the ports in Ontario. Easy to ship the cars overseas. This countries in a freefall not just with crime but society, immigration, economy, government spending amongst other social/societal issues.
Just test drove the SE upgrade. Hit- the drivetrain and fuel economy Miss- interior has nice features but feels cheap, build quality not great. Not worth the money imo
I can't really imagine too many people really that microfiber cloth. Borders on super dumb idea, def ends up being a deal breaker for me. I'd have to go with the XSE, hoping the ride was doable.
I Had the new Camry for 3 days as my car was in the shop needing a few things. Ti was looking forward to trying this car out since I used to have a Camry. he one thing I can agree is that the Camry is definitely a little mor peppy. Also both passenger and driver have auto seating. Now the things I cannot agree. The interior, the panels or the top of the dash to the bottom is separate by this piano black plastic what I can describe as being a decor. Was not impressed since it hade this waved lines in it and the matting with the other part which was a vent was not matched as it should. The second is the passenger area. It seems more like they are trying to create this cubby hole for the passenger. My wife was not impressed with this. The third is this the lower dash which has this knotted style fabric. That to me is just calling out cheap, since it felt like one of those plastic/waxed rope you use for boating, since it really felt that Toyota was trying something new with dealing with not spending money on an injected molded part. I feel in the long run this is just going to degrade. The third is the steering wheel. There is not volume button on the the steering wheel, or at least I could not figure this out since the manual didn’t provide this detail. What was worst that the knob you used as a volume control was very tiny and frankly not great. In addition I felt the steering wheel was on the smaller size as well. The last was the car is supposed to get 50 mpg. Well I drive between 64-75 mpg on the freeway, but I only got about 44 mpg. Now mind you my other car is a hybrid and I get way better gas milage there. Now I drove this in the normal mode and there is an Eco option you can switch to, but to me that just doesn’t make sense I have to be in that mode just to get less power to get 50 mpg. But I still tried really hard to get that milage and could not achieve it. So overall I was not to impressed with this model. The milage and the interior is a deal beaker for me. But it did drive very nice.
It is near the end of July 24. I ordered a Prius Prime XSE last October. Was offered a lesser model someone didn't want. They tell me it may come later this year or maybe mid 2025. I only put $500 down when it was configured. When I see one in public, I wonder when they ordered it.
We miss V6 especially as the horsepower is below 300HP the last generation Camry, they had made the high ends XLE and XSE with 2.4L turbo with 340hp will be better
The Toyota Camry is like the overachieving high school student who does well both academically and athletically but those prices are outrageous. 48,000 for a Camry!

Auto start-stop is an inherent characteristic of hybrids; Toyota hybrids continuously cycle the engine via a motor in the eCVT. There is no traditional starter, so the operation is seamless. You can hear the engine come to life under hard acceleration, but it's not that noticeable otherwise.
I have a 2019 rav4 hybrid. Start stop works fine with electric boost to get you going. You do hear engine turn on/off (no its not seamless) but it's not bothersome.

Thanks for the review, folks. I’ve just bought a 2025 Camry XSE AWD partly because of your review. Now I have a question about CarPlay. I have been somewhat challenged with the CarPlay functionality for this Camry. In my 2021 Tundra, I have wireless CarPlay set up via a dongle. When I receive a text message while music is playing, the volume level of the music will decrease so I can hear the text as it is being read out loud to me. In our new Camry with wireless CarPlay, we will receive the text but the music volume level does not decrease making it extremely difficult to hear the text. Is there a setting I am missing? To review, my iPhone 11 works fine in the Tundra as I stated above, but not in the Camry. Thanks again, Grant, Red Deer, Canada

Toyotas killing it with hybrids and plug ins, now with bolder and refined designs too. Not to mention Akio Toyoda being vindicated for not going full EV, rather transition to hybrids and plug ins first! Love it.
My wife and I can't decide which car to buy next year around the summer time. We are looking a 2025 toyota camry xse or 2025 honda accord hybrid sport. Which has more space and performance?
Camry XSE has a very sensitive suspension. You gonna feel every crack on the road. Rather go for XLE. Still great handling while significantly softer suspension.
Toyota has nailed it. Most powerful in its segment and most aggressive pricing with the legendary reliability. Now with so much comfort. But no heated rear seats is a miss
Toyota is on the right path, Hybrid is the way for now. Full EV is still in the gen 1 stage and it's not where it needs to be. I have a 2018 Camry LE Hybrid, and for a commuter car, it's the best I've ever owned.
Toyota needs to improve the towing capacity and download of their Camry Hybrid. My understanding the Camry 2025 towing capacity is 925 pounds/ 419 kg. We are looking at replacing our Toyota Camry hybrid with a Subaru outback because of this.
i am from california look like it will cost 29,553.15 much like then the us $32,225 so the question is if I go to Canada how would i go about purchasing one and what other fees will there be if i bring the camry se awd back to the us?
I would buy the Sonata over the Camry because there is no Gas only model with the Camry and Hybrids are expensive to fix as they age versus Gas only and I keep my cars until the wheels fall off because I'm not on the perpetual payment machine which a Camry Hybrid would have you on. This is because Camry Hybrid pretty well makes it garbage at 10 years when the battery pack is toast because it's too expensive to fix this and other components related to the hybrid model. Gas only Sonata model for the win in this regard. No problem keeping it on the road 20 years like I did with my Santa Fe with minimal repairs.
Except Toyota hybrids are cheap to maintain. The batteries can last over 10 years and the cost to replace them has been going down. Plenty of people with older Priuses with over 200,000 miles on the original battery
On average, you can expect to pay between $2,000 and $4,000 for a Camry hybrid battery replacement, including labor costs. The hybrid batteries on Camry's can be expected to last 8 to 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km) to 200,000 miles (320,000 km).
@@janoycresnova9156 Yes, I knew it cost more. It appeals to me in terms of interior. But I guess I’m wondering about the drive and I guess, the value over the Camry. Is it justified in terms of cost above highest trim here.
It's likely very similar to Camry in terms of the drive. They are very close on paper. Top of the line Camry is $10k less than the base Crown in Canada. Interior wise they're close. Crown is likely a bit more luxurious and quiet. I'd personally stay with a Camry or get a Lexus ES if I wanted smth more upscale. ES costs slightly less vs Crown. Imo Crown is a very goofy vehicle that is priced badly.

The dashboard of the new Camry would like right at home in any Lexus.
I agree. I'd bet the shifter is probably identical and that took some getting used to.
I really like the Base Model LE best. Smooth, Powerful, Quiet, and Uber Reliable..... Very Nice for a guy in his sixties. lol
Wonder if you will have to wait years to get one of these as with hybrid RAV 4s?
No we paid MSRP for a LE with no wait time.
They're playing games with their inventory.
Why does the XSE cost more in the US vs.Canada than XLE while the opposite in Canada?
The 2025 Camry SE model will be my next car
Nice looking Toyota but that red interior is way too much.
Some reviewers have called this a mid-cycle refresh. This seems like an entirely new version.
Team Motormouth, To answer your question, the 300 hp FWD V6 will be missed by a few but far, far more Canadians will miss the affordable Camry LE. The next time you speak with the brains trust running Toyota Canada, PLEASE ask them why we cannot have the Camry LE and other base models available to our American neighbours.🤨
the see is just a few thousand more bud!
Nothing is cheap anymore , this is done by socialist causing inflation and prices of everything to go up. No car will be cheap again
@@bobknight6394still that’s not an excuse as to why we can’t get the LE here in Canada. It snows almost 6 months of the year and less features also means less things to break down in the long run for those that keep vehicles past 7 years. My current 2020 Corolla LE that I have hasn’t even had anything replaced other than maintenance since I got it back in 2020. So this is just an example
@@alvinsimba734 Exactly.
Really love this design inside and out
How quiet is it at highway speeds? Is it as quiet as the Crown? Thanks.
Why is Canada always left out of base models w Toyota, no LE?
You ask a good question. I would like to see journalists give Toyota Canada a good grilling over this issue.
Great review as always. Keep rocking you two!
Seems like a great choice for a sedan 👍. Great mpg !
Toyota is having major manufacturing & design problems right now with their newer Tundras & Tacomas. I'd wait until at least the 2027 Camry comes out to buy one of these.
Tacoma engines are fine and the hybrid setup in this Camry (and other vehicles sharing it) have had minimal issues
Wow i called up they wanted 195 per month for an Se and 210 for the xse wow
im paying only 80 dollars now for my 2006 impala.. same policy .. the insurance is taking all the gas mileage benefits away .. this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this car is to help clean the planet less emissions .. WHY so much i've seen no Camry lithium fires yet???
Auto theft rampant in Canada especially near the ports in Ontario. Easy to ship the cars overseas. This countries in a freefall not just with crime but society, immigration, economy, government spending amongst other social/societal issues.
If you try to insure your impala today, it will cost higher than you think. The key is that you are a new customer.
Just test drove the SE upgrade. Hit- the drivetrain and fuel economy Miss- interior has nice features but feels cheap, build quality not great. Not worth the money imo
The Camry will be on my short list in two years. I sure hope they ditch the stupid micro fiber on the dash though.
None of the Toyota dealers have stock here in Vancouver, but I saw a "used" one at a local Volkswagen dealer with a $10,000 markup 🙄
The same phenomenon happens in Ontario.
That’s insane, marking up a used vehicle
Love your channel very well present all time.
As a life long Honda guy I would never buy the current Accord over this Camry. The SE trim is probably the best value for a mid-size sedan in the U.S.
It is near the end of July 24. I ordered a Prius Prime XSE last October. Was offered a lesser model someone didn't want. They tell me it may come later this year or maybe mid 2025. I only put $500 down when it was configured. When I see one in public, I wonder when they ordered it.
There is a stop sale order on the Prius due to a problem with the rear door handles.
Wow been waiting for this video after checking it out on Instagram with Andrea 🎉
Awesome, thank you!
Can you do a comparison between this and the accord , please .
Great review as always ❤
We miss V6 especially as the horsepower is below 300HP the last generation Camry, they had made the high ends XLE and XSE with 2.4L turbo with 340hp will be better
The Toyota Camry is like the overachieving high school student who does well both academically and athletically but those prices are outrageous. 48,000 for a Camry!
No one is making you spend $48k (Canadian) for a new Camry. You - obviously - don't *have* to choose a fully-loaded model.
@@kenhoward3512thank you for
Mentioning that because people don’t use common sense that they are lower trims that may have enough goodies for their everyday needs. Most of these reviewers normally get mid to top trim vehicles from the dealers that they want to advertise.
When will you test the ES? The last time you tested it on this channel it was a british guy.
Would like to see you test out the auto-start-stop feature when you review cars.
@@squirreldriver Ihave heard some are very "jerky" and not seamless.
I have the car. You cannot feel any jerking. Literally seamless.
I have a 2019 rav4 hybrid. Start stop works fine with electric boost to get you going. You do hear engine turn on/off (no its not seamless) but it's not bothersome.
Grandpa / Taxi / Rental car. XSE is sportier but, just get a Honda Accord Hybrid.
I would still need to flip those headrests around for comfort. Hopefully they are removable.
Never thought of that 😂
You'd probably be setting yourself up for some nasty neck injury in case of an accident. They're designed that way for a reason.
@@janoycresnova9156 I have an excellent posture (i.e. no protruding turtle neck). Therefore, even when flipped back my head touches the headrest. I was rear-ended once with no neck injury.
Beautiful car but small backseat and cargo? Why can’t they make a little bigger than others? Great show Andrea! 👍🏻👏🏻
If they just added a Rear hatch and made it taller with all wheel drive with a V-8 and a manual transmission.. then it would be great ..oh and tow about 7000 pounds.. why can’t they???
Any bigger it will be a Limo.

Welcome to Hybrids. All that extra stuff gotta go somewhere.

Why are these expensive to insure?
@wyw201 because of the battery and people are more likely to be injured in a sedan vs suv.
@@danielmiedema5836 These seem to be more expensive to insure than EVs and EVs have way larger batteries.

Thanks again,

Had my Toyota Camry for three months the Le I had to get my water pump replaced due to a leak with only 3700 miles. I'm hoping there's not gonna be a recall.
Toyotas killing it with hybrids and plug ins, now with bolder and refined designs too. Not to mention Akio Toyoda being vindicated for not going full EV, rather transition to hybrids and plug ins first! Love it.
Does the sound system included with equalizer ?
Walk-away auto-Lock... why doesn't Toyota have this simple feature that is found on Mazda and Honda,?
My wife and I can't decide which car to buy next year around the summer time. We are looking a 2025 toyota camry xse or 2025 honda accord hybrid sport. Which has more space and performance?
Camry XSE has a very sensitive suspension. You gonna feel every crack on the road. Rather go for XLE. Still great handling while significantly softer suspension.
Although I'd prefer a somewhat-smaller hatchback, it's hard to ignore the value offered by the new Camry (at U.S. prices, at least).
Wonderful job Camry
Nice car, good review.
Did you prefer this over the new Civic hybrid?
I thought GM cut the Malibu out of the lineup. Is it still available for purchase and if so, how long?
Toyota has nailed it. Most powerful in its segment and most aggressive pricing with the legendary reliability. Now with so much comfort. But no heated rear seats is a miss
😂 Great Sarcasm!
Toyota is on the right path, Hybrid is the way for now. Full EV is still in the gen 1 stage and it's not where it needs to be. I have a 2018 Camry LE Hybrid, and for a commuter car, it's the best I've ever owned.
When is the lexus is300 coming out with the hybrid?
So tired of Zach hating on dark wheels, they look good and are easy to clean.
Toyota needs to improve the towing capacity and download of their Camry Hybrid. My understanding the Camry 2025 towing capacity is 925 pounds/ 419 kg. We are looking at replacing our Toyota Camry hybrid with a Subaru outback because of this.
i am from california
look like it will cost 29,553.15 much like then the us $32,225
so the question is if I go to Canada how would i go about purchasing one and what other fees will there be if i bring the camry se awd back to the us?
Sonata and Camry are so similar.
@@davidjym And???
Except Toyota hybrids are cheap to maintain. The batteries can last over 10 years and the cost to replace them has been going down.
Plenty of people with older Priuses with over 200,000 miles on the original battery
On average, you can expect to pay between $2,000 and $4,000 for a Camry hybrid battery replacement, including labor costs. The hybrid batteries on Camry's can be expected to last 8 to 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km) to 200,000 miles (320,000 km).

which trim do you recommend?
I’m wondering how does it compare to Toyota Crown?
Crown is more SUV
Crown is more expensive and upscale. There is also a more powerful engine available but it's costly.
