@The Wraith fair enough, we will never know I guess. I still respect them for trying to write a sequel to Aliens that wasnt the despair filled downward spiral that was alien 3. Still though, Bishop said itd leave a crater the size of nebraska and, being the super intelligent living calculator that synths are, I'd say he wouldn't be far off. Plus didn't they still have alot of running electricity in the game? Nukes emit an empty pulse when things go nuclear from what I understand. Not trying to argue btw, guess it's just a matter of suspending your disbelief to enjoy the story. Wish itd explained the incredibly implausible way that Hicks ended up back there with a dead mystery guy taking his place in the cryo pod during alien 3.

The one implausible thing in this story (which I realize was done on purpose to allow there to be the story as intended) was how both the derelict and Hadley's Hope weren't totally vaporized by the explosion of the atmosphere processing tower. Bishop had said it was equivalent to 40 Megatons, both in the movie and in this game. He later referred to the impending explosion, in the movie, as "a cloud of vapor the size of Nebraska." Okay, well there's no plausible way *anything* would be left of either the colony buildings or the Alien ship. Both sites should be *literally* nothing but scorched native rock bed.

Despite many people saying it's a bad game. I personally enjoyed it for getting it dirt cheap & didn't knew at the time of the controversy around it. im playing through ACM again. Swear to god most people just hate on shit because they think its fun or popular. Most of the " bugs" have been patched out. If it were still as buggy as some claim then i wouldnt be dying a ton just on Soldier difficulty alone.
This is really good work. Artistic, creative, and above all, entertaining. I've watched several walkthrough style vids of this game and didn't find any of them compelling. This, however, is very enjoyable. Suspenseful, tense, and holds my attention easily. You are to be commended for this kind of exemplary work. Makes me want to try the game with the upgrades you mention. Again, very, very cool stuff, my friend.
I think this game could have been really successful as a fortify and prepare FPS where a Xenomorph encounter would be a high probability of death at close range. You could have a commanding mechanic and a reliance on allies that gives you a teamwork mentality. You don’t get a sense of “let’s rock” it makes you say “they’re all around us man” “it’s game over man, game over!”
Don't apologise for liking a game, dude. You're allowed to have an opinion. I personally never played they game, so I have no proper stance on it, and respect your opinion.
Honestly, I want a Switch port of it. I had no idea it was coming out until it was already out, so I missed all the hype that ruined it for everyone else. I bought it brand new for 360, limited edition for less than $10, and I really enjoyed the whole game.
It was okay, but it really didn't feel finished. The Aliens AI was glitchy cus of a spelling mistake in the code, and the whole thing felt like they rushed it through testing. Like...cut scenes you can't skip. It's also annoying how you can often not avoid taking damage from acid. I hate how you can only run for a few seconds, many of the weapons are pointless, the constant screen shake in some levels is annoying, the pulse rifle's recoil is upside down and makes the gun no fun to use...etc It's a shame, cus you can definitely feel a fun game underneath the problems, that a decent Beta test might have ironed out
Ash Scott Oh, it definitely had its problems, and some pretty stupid ones at that. But I still love the game from start to finish because, for me, it was damn good fun regardless. 🤷♀️😋
I was very disappointed with this "game", but this overhaul did make it slightly more enjoyable. Your game movie of this is fantastic! I still go back and watch your AvP 2010 game movie, phenomenal work!
This game wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. The problem is people hop on the hate bandwagon too much and get brainwashed by negative reviews too easily.
i reamber what those xenomorph types are for a second i forgot the ones that glow those are boilers there old xeno drones who cant see well but when hear noise as said they will rush towards it and explode acid blood
I definitely view this game through rose-tinted glasses. Yeah it's really not great, but I had a lot of fun playing it, both single-player and online. Definitely best on PC compared to consoles
At an hour in like 44 minutes before they arrive to Hadley hope they ask why marines left 17 weeks ago. It was 17 days ago not weeks when they were here. From the movie.
Never understood the hate of this game…while it did have bugs and the final product didn’t live up to its prior concept as expected. This game nonetheless has a spot in my childhood. The story may be a bit cliche but it all makes sense to lead up to the events after Aliens and Alien 3. The dlc story filled in the gap for Alien 3’s terrible plot hole of the eggs getting on the Sulaco, Hick’s survival, and to top it off - it only makes sence that W-Y brings kidnapped colonists and PMCs to come to take over LV-426 and utilize said colonist for experiments, after the events of Aliens aand after Burke’s failed attempt to contain the situation - to unlock the secrets behind the Xenomorphs and the Space Jockey ship. The entire story could’ve been better but this made the game all the more interesting.
It's a good game, I enjoyed it, I had a lot of fun playing the online multiplayer. Idk why people just hate. Just sometimes you need to appreciate that they made the damn thing instead of nothing at all.
1:03:57 Well I guess if there was one character who could survive a thermonuclear explosion, it would have to be the Ultimate Badass, Hudson. RIP Bill Paxton. You truly deserved a comeback, but alas the franchise is under the control of a senile old fart named Ridley Scott.
BRAVO 👏👏👏 This was one hell of a ride!!!! We need hollywood to understand that this is the Alien type movie we all want. We didn't need 2 more Alien1 movies. Because Alien the 8 passenger was already a masterpiece. Cameron set the bar real high with Aliens. So high nobody could ever reach it again in that form. PUNCH IT WINTER !!!!!!
Except this _isn’t_ the Alien movie we all want. The first Alien did it best, it just got progressively worse after that. Aliens wasn’t very good. Unarmed people hiding and running scared from a single, terrifying alien they’ve never experienced before is what it’s all about. That’s where the tension is. Give everyone a gun and a cocky attitude and you rip the ass right out of the atmosphere. The franchise needs to return to the *true* horror it used to be. Alien Isolation is as close as you can get to to that in my opinion. Although I do have to admit, I loved Colonial Marines when I got it super cheap for 360, because I missed the development hell and years of hype. Now I play it on Linux.
For me is confuse in 16:10 point. If Winter and Keys are going from the Sulaco to Sephora through the bridge. Until here is clear that Sulaco is behind of him and Sephora is in front of him. So when Keys blew up, I can see clearly that Winter is going back off due the explosion, so why when he climbs to forward, he "again" returns to the Sulaco? Behind of him is the bridge space broke to the Sulaco.
and the big ones thats may be an amphibous xeno they swim or a depending on its hands it could be a pratorian a xeno that guards the queen and i thinks has diamond hard claws
The game as a whole has a the production quality of an arcade cabinet you'd play at the movie theatre, with plastic guns. That isn't to say that's a bad thing, as its entertaining. It think the main reason people hate it is because its nothing like the film nor the pre-release gameplay trailer.
The game actually looks and plays pretty decent with the mod installed, might pick this one up next time when there’s a heavy discount. By the way, nice shootin’, Marine.
ah yes, my sad childhood of bad games till i got monster hunter thanks for the upload idk why but i love this game and it brings me nostalgia of not worrying about everything lol
After watching your Alien Isolation runthrough (which was so well done), this one seems comical. Great work again though, I am here for the story, not for the Aliens who dont seem to have acid blood lol.

@@ScoobydcsPotentially there was dialogue recorded that never made it into the finished game. They might have had an audiolog from Hudson, or planned to show him alive but scrapped the idea before release.
Very nice one. I made up a playlist with all your Alien/AVP movies arranged chronologically to watch them one after the another. This game receive a so much undeserved shitstorm, yeah it's not that great but I remember really enjoying it when I first played it because I wasn't hype with the graphically better first trailers. Thought I will be nitpicking on one thing, it's for the mission time. You put it on 01/14/2180, while it would have been better to put on 11/24/2179 because it's seventeen weeks after Aliens which ended on 07/28/2179. So 07/28/79 plus seventeen weeks (119 days) equals 11/24/79. Keep going
I was looking for another video game play through here on TH-cam, of another, older Aliens game. It was a common one played at game arcades. I also saw it once here on TH-cam.
Truly should've had a proper Aliens second sequel in the late 1980s with Michael Biehn in the lead role after Sigourney Weaver proved to be increasingly difficult in any follow-up negotiations to progress the story of Ripley, Hicks, Newt and Bishop unless she reaped all the rewards in percentage profits, executive producer credit and name above the title status. Her ego became supersized much like Bill Murray's that derailed in future Ghostbusters films while they were all in their prime. Her plans along and supported with David Fincher wrecked Alien 3 making her the sole survivor and no threat of stardom that Michael Biehn's Hicks would've presented. While Ripley is rightly celebrated as a action icon and survivor, the actress is in equal fashion, very difficult to get onboard with. A true Alien second sequel that never happened is one of Hollywood greatest ever disasters. James Cameron can take some of that blame too, heading up the ill fated "The Abyss" instead of doing the long awaited Alien 3. We'd be looking at another contender for greatest film trilogy of all time no doubt about it.
Little known fact. The decent ALIENS game we all saw being worked on was effectivly going to be like ALIENS but L4D style so dozens of xenos instead of dozens of zombos, it's also where those old film collectors edition models originally came from. At some point in time both sega and gearbox didn't think that would sell because "no one wants to fight JUST xenomorphs! it's not like the very popular franchise Aliens vs predator basically had you doing that all the time which people loved! no no no, they want cod in space!" ((though randy was just using it syphon funds, he didn't care end of the day)) the game was taken from THAT dev team, handed to another who cobbled together all that goodness, rushed a story together and out came the trash fire we all know and "love". Basically, Randy is Randy and ruins everything he touches / SEGA have no idea what people want.... though to be fair its more randys fault than SEGAs as they almost had no idea what was truely going on, which is even funnier lol. Oh also, Hudson was originally going to be the one you saved too in another iteration of the story, the husks underneath the colony are the ORIGINAL xenomorphs ((and thats what happens when they don't have a queen, something the game completely omits to tell you)) and the raven was the one hudson shot as he was dragged away............. this game could have been very good, but gearbox.
Question. Does anyone know how many years pass between this game's story and the time of the story in A.V.P 2010? I know the events here come before that game, but I am not sure if this is ten, twenty, thirty, or ninety years before the events of the game A.V.P 2010. The reason I know is because this takes place on Acheron (LV-426) and "Tequila" from A.V.P 2010 says to "Rookie" the following "This drop is turning out worse than Acheron, if that's possible." Which makes sense given what happened on Acheron is one of the worse things that could have happened in the Alien/Predator universe to a colony. However, the events in A.V.P 2010 turn out even worse than Acheron/Hadley's Hope. How? Because Weyland knew for certain how dangerous the Xenomorphs are from what happened here, yet he still set up a laboratory to study the evolution of Xenomorphs, to see if they would continue to get smarter as time passed, and they did. Take "Six" for example, the smartest Xenomorph that has ever existed. Not only did she use Weyland's technology against him and the androids, she also escaped the test tube she bursted into by going back into the host and finding an alternative route out. The reason I ask if anyone here knows how many years later A.V.P 2010 takes place is because I have searched extensively to figure out the year it takes place in, but literally nothing comes up with that information, just general information such as the reason the lab was established, what planet it was on, how Dark managed to find the Xenomorph Homeworld, and things like that. Literally NOTHING about what year all that happened in/what year the game's story takes place.
@Kaguya Houraisan I disagree. Making the Alien impossible to kill was a real letdown. It should be hard to kill, certainly, espiecally without military hardware (I'm sure that most of the weapons found had ammunition that was not capable of penetrating the outer hull, for obvious reasons). But impossible to kill? That totally breaks immersion.
@@WebShaman01 I feel very differently. What i loved most about the original Alien movie was the creation of the mythos of the "perfect organism", thus the only way to get rid of that thing was a "battlefield removal". The second movie was very good as well, however, even though i could get along with Aliens getting killed by grandes or heavy guns like those being carried around by Drake and Vasquez, i hated that normal ammunition and even puny pistols could be used to get rid of them ... took away from the mythos and from their threat level. Alien: Isolation got back to the original "perfect organism" concept and since there was no heavy military weaponry aboard Sevastopol Station, the Alien became immortal again, which added immensely (imo) to the desperation and horror of the game and actually helped immersion, since you were forced to basically feel what Ellen Ripley felt in the original movie.
@@durchhalter You say "normal ammunition" and yet you have provided no evidence, whatsoever, that normal ammunition, as you put it, was used against the Aliens in Aliens by the Marines. All we have to go by is what the Lieutenant said in answer to Ripley's question "what do those pulse rifles fire?". We have no idea what sort of loads were in the shotgun that was used by Corporal Hicks, and certainly not in those pistols used by others in the air vents. We do know through one scene that the pistols were pretty ineffective at long to short range, ricocheting off the head of one alien. Only extremely close range shots to probably a weak point (the side of the head) produced damage. But that is besides the point here, really. The discussion is about the very immersion breaking immunity to death that the Aliens (there are multiple ones in Alien Isolation) have in A:I - it is the single most mistake in my opinion that that game has. What is wrong with having the Alien being killable? It still is incredibly dangerous, scary, and means to kill it should be difficult to come by.
@@WebShaman01 I didn‘t provide any scientific or legal proof, because A) It‘s just a movie/game and I’m neither in a lab nor in a courtroom. Being able to kill the „perfect organism“ with a gun or even a pistol just doesn‘t do it for me, takes me out of the mythology a bit. Nonetheless, Aliens had more than enough going for it to make it an all time sci-fi classic for me anyway. B) I didn‘t make a comment to convince anybody of anything, I just expressed my impression and opinion, hence my introduction „I FEEL very differently“. If you think the game made a mistake, fine, that‘s obviously true for YOU and I‘m not debating that! I simply tried to show my perspective to maybe point out that there is no such thing as „the“ truth in the matter. For ME the game enhanced the original Alien movie feeling by making the Xenomorphs not killable, thus actually enhancing immersion.
@@durchhalter I understand what you wrote and that it is your opinion. The problem that I have with what you posted (other than disagreeing with you opinion, obviously) is that you try to point out that your opinion regarding what harms an Alien or not as more fact than just opinion. I know that the whole IP is "just a movie/game" and that you are not in a lab nor in a courtroom. It is just that there are some things that need clearing up here. First of all, you are obviously assuming that Ash is correct in his assessment that the Alien is a "perfect organism". But obviously it is not. Ash is imo expressing his own desires to be free of his programming when he points out that the Alien has "no remorse, etc". I think the Company did a bang up job on Ash to get him ready in time to board the Nostromo. This, of course, is in the realm of opinion, because we know very little about Ash (how he was constructed, programming, etc). All we know is that he was ordered to bring back the specimen and that the crew was expendable. If we wanted to talk "perfect organism" then I think the organism from The Thing is much more perfect than the Alien organism (and much more terrifying). But that digresses from the topic at hand. The point here is that obviously it is canon that those small arms and guns from the Colonial Marines can damage and kill Aliens. This is not dependent on your opinion to the contrary.
So they're using a plasma torch. The actual aliens movie shows it a bit better, but what's happening is they're using the torch to cut the locks so that the door opens. In real life you can "cut" and "weld" with a torch.
I enjoyed the game on 360 warts and all. The movie Aliens is just so good that nobody could ever do it justice in video game form. I hope one day we can step into the movie like in the book 'Ready player one'.
Honestly I don't really care what people might say about some Alien video games. I like the Alien universe so much that I'll watch and enjoy the video regardless.
But every time i tried playing it, it WON'T LET YOU SAVE or even exit the game! The only way to shut off the game is rebboot your whole comp. How'd you do the fix?
@@torquetheprisoner thing is i downloaded it the firtst time years ago, different comp and it did it, tried playing it again last year, did it again! I swear there is literally NO WAY to save or quit this fekking game so i had to stop playing!
I was just fascinated by level design. I would be able to create map meaning creating of buildings but I could not "fill" it with all the equipment. I have idea from where I would take inspiration
Still a fan of the Alien and Predator franchises but a few films need to be made to tie up loose ends, even if some of the footage is just words up on the screen and showing what happened to characters from AvP and AvP: Requiem and Alien: Covenant and Predators and the current, The Predator(aka Predator 3) if it takes 3-5 films to do so I think fans can be happy with the outcome of it all.
I know this is old, and you may not read this but play your games with subtitles, I know it can kill the immersive look you are going for, but us hard of hearing it would help a lot. This game has a lot of feedback in the background and just all around a lot of noise that makes it hard to hear what the others are saying.

*Try playing the original **_Aliens Versus Predator_** (1999) game - it is exactly as what you just described.* :)
im playing through ACM again. Swear to god most people just hate on shit because they think its fun or popular. Most of the " bugs" have been patched out. If it were still as buggy as some claim then i wouldnt be dying a ton just on Soldier difficulty alone.
I haven't bought this game & played it. The last game i played is Arkham City. So uts fun to watch it as a movie. AVP game is nostalgic for me❤
39:25 "Damn, Bella. Drop it, girl... Oh shit! Right! The fight!"
haha..
There's no other sound like the pulse rifle and the handheld radar!! You can recognize them everywhere!!
Huge thanks for this "gameplay" ... could you share the complete and correct order of *all* the colonial marines games?
I make no apologies, I liked this game. It was fun
I hate how you can only run for a few seconds, many of the weapons are pointless, the constant screen shake in some levels is annoying, the pulse rifle's recoil is upside down and makes the gun no fun to use...etc
It's a shame, cus you can definitely feel a fun game underneath the problems, that a decent Beta test might have ironed out
Ash Scott Oh, it definitely had its problems, and some pretty stupid ones at that. But I still love the game from start to finish because, for me, it was damn good fun regardless. 🤷♀️😋
Ash Scott Also, I just watched your Flat Earth proof video... Tyler Durden lives... Absolutely beautiful... 🤣
1:04:43 looked like Hudson. Suspense captured feel of Aliens. Well done.

Xenomorphs: If I hear "Stay Frosty" one more goddamn time, I am murdering everything that moves on two legs!!
Awesome job as always, DeeALup!
Thank you friend. And I hope to see your reel-movie sooner or later. :)
I was very disappointed with this "game", but this overhaul did make it slightly more enjoyable. Your game movie of this is fantastic! I still go back and watch your AvP 2010 game movie, phenomenal work!
Thanks for watching! I agree about the game. Overhaul mod is great, thanks to TemplarGFX.
And the story about the marines is quite good.
I actually enjoyed this game
This game wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. The problem is people hop on the hate bandwagon too much and get brainwashed by negative reviews too easily.
Here's the overhaul with ray tracing in 4k th-cam.com/video/XzHS8jH_Xr8/w-d-xo.html
İt doesn't look bad at all.
I haven't even watched this yet but I MUST subscribe. The editing is impeccably brilliant. Awesome work. AVP is a great one too.
Brillant - lots of thanks for that, Marine!
i reamber what those xenomorph types are for a second i forgot the ones that glow those are boilers there old xeno drones who cant see well but when hear noise as said they will rush towards it and explode acid blood
Thanks for the effort you put in, it's really appreciated and noticed!
Regardless of negative feedback....i loveeeeeee this game...
I can understand that
Never understood the hate of this game…while it did have bugs and the final product didn’t live up to its prior concept as expected.
3:01
It still naggs me how the Sulaco wasn’t this packed in the movie
You made a flop game into a 4 star movie, this was great. deff gonna watch more!
41:04 favorite quote of the game: "See...nope, OH SHIT!
I love this game now you made a movie out of this ill give this a 100\10
It's a good game, I enjoyed it, I had a lot of fun playing the online multiplayer. Idk why people just hate. Just sometimes you need to appreciate that they made the damn thing instead of nothing at all.
Never got to play this game when it came out, but your skillful editing makes it look pretty awesome. Well done!!
Just watched the first 7 min... an instantly knew, that this is are the most sensfull used 156 minutes of this game..... thank you...really
Lance Hrikson is one heck of an actor
Love how well thot out and thicc the plot was.
What happened to the acid blood of the aliens in this game? Doesn't seem to be more potent than vinegar?!
BRAVO 👏👏👏
This was one hell of a ride!!!!
48:31 Newt and her Mom
That was really good! Well done
Feels like 'DeadSpace' in an alternate reality
For me is confuse in 16:10 point.
If Winter and Keys are going from the Sulaco to Sephora through the bridge. Until here is clear that Sulaco is behind of him and Sephora is in front of him. So when Keys blew up, I can see clearly that Winter is going back off due the explosion, so why when he climbs to forward, he "again" returns to the Sulaco?
Behind of him is the bridge space broke to the Sulaco.
Thanks so much for this. The game was far from perfect but I loved it. Your video was amazing. 👍
during lock down it was a pleasant surprise find
Happy 35th Year Anniversary Aliens 🎂 Original Release: July 18th 1986
This is awesome. Marvellous editing ❤
Very great work! I love the cut and your gameplay, made a very good movie out of a boring game!
Its late that you made this but its still super good great work 👍👌😜
and the big ones thats may be an amphibous xeno they swim or a depending on its hands it could be a pratorian a xeno that guards the queen and i thinks has diamond hard claws
Worth a thumbs up from me, and I don't often do so.
i hope for a better version of this game
I love that despite being scaled up and remastered on pc, its being played very clearly on a logitech usb controller
This should of been the sequel that we didn't get.
Thank you for this video and you did an excellent job it's beautiful it's clear nice to see looking forward to watching more of it
Excellent job dude 👍👍
"Ever see a sucker scattered? Make you throw up!"
I am an Alien die hard fan…I don’t like gaming…but I really enjoyed this as a movie…it scared me more than any of the Alien movies …Thanks 💋
This mod make the game level higher than original ACM. Perfect work.
dude in higher dif youl die often than isolation
ah yes, my sad childhood of bad games till i got monster hunter
thanks for the upload idk why but i love this game and it brings me nostalgia of not worrying about everything lol
After watching your Alien Isolation runthrough (which was so well done), this one seems comical. Great work again though, I am here for the story, not for the Aliens who dont seem to have acid blood lol.
😎😎😎😎One of the most bashed put down game of all time which was one of the best games ever made..compared to similar type if you put them side by side.😎😎😎😎😎😎
I love it..
So sad they didn't get more support and bring out such a great creation in history of film and gaming.
ok this is the best got me trying fight them its so good great job
is there anyway to cut out the weyalnd dudes from the bug hunt waves?
Phenomenal work!

**Sees a human corpse being spooned by a dead Xenomorph**
Hol' up-
If they fixed the flaws and the newngame dark decents gameplay was like this or like avp that game would be the best aliens anything since the 2nd movie
You managed to make a barely decent game way more enjoyable with that movie, congratulations.
just noticed hudson in the credits, dont remember seeing him in the game!
01:03:55 Hudson is here
@@DeeALup not exactly a speaking part lol how did somebody get credited for that?
@@ScoobydcsPotentially there was dialogue recorded that never made it into the finished game. They might have had an audiolog from Hudson, or planned to show him alive but scrapped the idea before release.
What is causing the glitches in video and sound sometimes?
Besides alien isolation, avp2 marine and alien campaigns were awesome and scary, this isnt such bad game but its more like action rather than horror
So nice to hear 3 of the Critical Role cast in action.
Aliens :yea I’ll die here
Alien isolation: yeaaa noooo
@@WebShaman01 I didn‘t provide any scientific or legal proof, because
A) It‘s just a movie/game and I’m neither in a lab nor in a courtroom.
49:33 Can anyone explain to me how you could weld a door open? I figured welding it would keep it shut...
So they're using a plasma torch. The actual aliens movie shows it a bit better, but what's happening is they're using the torch to cut the locks so that the door opens. In real life you can "cut" and "weld" with a torch.
I enjoyed watching this more than watching Prometheus.
I enjoyed the game on 360 warts and all.
The movie Aliens is just so good that nobody could ever do it justice in video game form.
I hope one day we can step into the movie like in the book 'Ready player one'.
I personally didn't see a thing wrong with the game bitd. After watching the movies and playing Sega grade aliens games... this version was fun!
Honestly I don't really care what people might say about some Alien video games. I like the Alien universe so much that I'll watch and enjoy the video regardless.

Hi! You can turn on subtitles in the settings of this video (press the gear in the lower right corner). I do external subtitles for all my videos.
