Thanx so much for showing my old stomping grounds. I left JA in 1975, so seeing how JA has developed warms my heart. I love the way you described each road and street. Again, thanx so much for taking me home. May the good Lord bless you in all your endeavours.
As per the usual, you give very good info about Jamaica, and I sometimes question or disagree with some of your statements.... About slavery & emancipation, you noted that slaves in Jamaica “triumph” to gain their independence… To be correct, nowhere in history (in Jamaica or any other country) did black people ever "triumph" over their enslavers. Slaves were either granted freedom instantly (like in the U.S.) or gradually in instances like Jamaica and Brazil… I know people are going to reference Haiti as a country where Slaves fought to earn their freedom. But that too also comes with a caveat where the Haiti government was forced to pay reparations to the French government.
Going a little fast for me to keep up. Had to slow down the video bit as I was trying to do some sightseeing and remembering the streets I used to frequent. Would love if you featured Lyndhurst Road and the community of Duhaney Park. Thanks for the videos.
You missed the Jewish cemetery. Thats a land mark. Kingston going north is divided in to sections such as down town midtown, and up town. EAST GOING WEST WOULD BE EAT KINGSTON AND WEST KINGSTON
😂😂😂😂 is Jamaica 🇯🇲 what you expected .. there are cars there found nowhere else. .lol I remember talking about Opel Mazda etc to ppl here (US) and no one knew what I was talking about ..lol

If them people downtown get the chance new Kingston and uptown will look just like downtown coronation area😅
I have never seen anywhere with such lack of character, the buildings are mostly square shaped painted blue cream or terracotta. Why?
Blah blah blah
