On Saturday, 5/28/22, Amtrak finally upgraded the stretch of track on the Northeast Corridor through Princeton Junction for 150 mph operations. Therefore, Tuesday, 5/31/22, marked the first weekday of 150 mph Acelas in New Jersey.
To mark this occasion, I decided to spend the day at Princeton Junction. Seen here are the majority of Amtrak trains between 0600 and 1830. Enjoy the assorted action =)
    Speed calculations:
OG Acela trainset = 663 feet
    150 mph = 220 feet per second
    663 / 220 = ~3 seconds
Therefore, if the Acela trainset passes a fixed point in the frame in 3 seconds, it is traveling at around 150 mph. At 135 mph, it takes the same trainset 3.3 seconds to pass a fixed point.

I had a good look thanks. In order for Acela to run faster than it is now, the Northeast Main Line needs to be speeded up, but the answer is to build a dedicated high-speed train line between Washington DC-New York-Providence.(When upgrading existing railroads, there must be absolutely no railroad crossings in all areas.)
If you have to make it underground inevitably along the existing route along the beach, you have to boldly make it an underground route.
In addition, the routes are extended to Ottawa-Scranton-Maryland-Washington D.C., Providence-Portland-Bangor-Holton, and Washington D.C-Richmond-Goldsboro-Wilton. .
Washington D.C-Charlotte-Atlanta-New Orleans-Galveston-Corpus Christi-Mexico City-Acapulco I hope that the high-speed rail will be built to make Washington D.C-Mexico City faster and closer.
For the success of the high-speed rail construction in the USA!

The 150-160mph is fast enough!! You don't need a airplane on the tracks!! GERMANYS ACS64F LOCOMOTIVE Hit 225mph in a test run, with no trouble!! It outweighs the one AMTRAK has!! It's a BRUTE!! STRONGER TOO!! A Locomotive is to scary to go at those 150-160mph speeds, that's mainly why they build ACELAS and multiple unit cars to hit those speeds!! They're less scarier, if they're doing high speed on the local tracks for some maintenance reason!! The force a locomotive exerts is phenomenal!! Anyhow the our AMERICAN MADE METROLINER OF THE 1960'S-1979 WERE WAY MORE SWIFTER THAN THE ACELA OR THAT NEW UGLY AVELIA. There top speed on there odometer was 160mph!! But they could do more. Also our GG1 LOCOMOTIVE could easily do over 200mph and hold the road too!! It weighed almost 480,000 lbs!! We had HIGH SPEED GO-GETTERS BEFORE THIS NEW STUFF CAME OUT!! THAT'S just two aspects of AMTRAK THAT WERE WAY AHEAD OF THERE TIME!! They should be roaming now, if the ELECTRICIANS could keep up, in reinventing the wheel, to keep them running, modifying their components here and there!! But they failed to do so!!! Definitely not on the corridor. You can only upgrade a conventional rail line for high speed running at 150 to 160 mph but after that, you’re going to need to build a new railroad because running trains at 200 mph on track shared by slower regional and commuter trains would be incredibly dangerous and irrational. Which is why in countries like Germany that along with dedicated high speed rail lines has upgraded conventional rail lines to run at high speed, the trains on those lines are limited to 155mph
