if they're allowed to go that fast through this part of the line, i wonder if this is where PRR T1 5550 will do its speed record attempt when it's finished
OVR is correct. All in-service trains into and out of Trenton make Hamilton and Princeton Junction. Any NJT train that doesn't stop at Princeton is some kind of deadhead move, whether it be a dropout from Jersey Avenue back to Morrisville, or a put-in from Morrisville to New Brunswick. You can find those New Brunswick trains on the schedule as 31xx runs.
Nice wave from the Amtrak engineer coming into Princeton Junction
I absolutely love how fast these trains run through here!!!
That keystone took off like a metro. Friendly we engineer too.
Ahhh I love the silver meteor to start the railfanning
I sure miss the "Train approaching, please remain behind the yellow line" announcements on many of the more recent Northeast Corridor stations.
My son loves trains so much thx for making this video ❤😊
Really good job!
4:22 wow that train has some serious acceleration!! Love this video
Because of the second engine pushing from behind.
I wonder how many engineers are jumpscared by Amtrak just whizzing by like that when at local stops 😂
Heh, I would be too 😆
My coworkers out of the New York and dc crewbases have told me how quickly they get used to it. Doesn’t even faze them
A Acela and and a Amtrak train amazing!
Gotta love the acela Avila
3:51 why that train has a second engine at the back?

Looks like some NJT trains also skip Princeton Junction? Is that some limited express service?🤔
Those are just deadhead moves- probably getting extra consists ready for the morning/evening rush

@@FanRailer Got it, thanks so much for the explanation!
I’m shocked to how little the engineers were blowing their horns
Yeah wth. The guy at 5:27 didn’t even sound his horn as he approached the platform. That’s illegal via NJ State Law I’ve heard
@@s.s.99 That rule doesn't apply to Amtrak Trains. Only NJT.
@@s.s.99 did it not occur to you that I may have started filming AFTER he blew the horn?
I've been to princeton and sometimes the amtrak will honk
hi these train fly go really fast where they going new york and back nice take ride on one thanks.
3:18 Boo

I just saw 600 but where's the david l gunn
Acela
Amtrak trains
I'll tell you, at those speeds the old AMFLEET 1 cars will fail fast.
LMFAO if that were the case, Amtrak would not be running them that fast.
There are heavyweight cars from the 1930s that were able to go 125 mph, idk why an Amfleet couldn't. Budd don't break.
Sir this is a Wendy's
@@trashrabbit69 yet they’re up for replacement with Siemens.
Push the pedal down!!!!
Pin pls.
