  • If you've ever sat at a DLC purchase screen and wondered "should I buy this", your'e not alone. That is the exact question I try to answer in this video. Given that the DLC price is roughly 40% of the original game price and you can easily squeeze out 250 hours of story content, I decided to do an Expansion pass breakdown. This covers all of the previously released DLC and the Cindered Shadows DLC. Let me know what you think down in the comments! Enjoy!

    - Due to an editing mishap I cut the "S" off of the data miner Serenesforest's name but I fixed it on screen. My bad Serenes!
    - I also forgot to add that you can feed the stray dogs and cats around the monastery. Whoops.

I miss the days where DLCs came out like Starcraft DLCs or Civ 2 DLCs. When you bought the DLC is was meaty and well thought out. Now days they throw skins or crap that should have been in the game to begin with. Charge you half of the game and want you to buy it. If Nintendo wanted to do stuff right make new Houses with a 20+ mission full story to add to the game. Or have a package that release older classes to the game. Add 20+ maps and better objectives instead of murder everybody. Hell if they made a meaty DLC with three new houses with full 20+ Mission game play for each. Then added new classes and maps to that DLC I would pay $60 for that.

quick question... but you ever try to do a new run with all dlc to see what add in your later run?- (i mean in base game you have new content)

It’s a freaking robbery that I have to buy this all together. All I want is the dlc classes because they actually fills HUGE gap in the class progression. We have all these students like Lorenz who are clearly supposed to be mixed magic/physical classes and NO HYBRID CLASSES outside of master classes at level 30. These advance classes would actually fill a nice gap that is sorely missing, but I gotta spend 25 fucking dollars to fix this? Ugh I’m deff passing, I’m interested in the side story despite the negative reviews I’ve heard of it story and maps just for the students and classes but I can’t justify 25 dollars for it. I wish they didnt force this bundle down our throats and just let us actually buy the content that we want individually

honestly things like sauna and the facilities in the Abyss should've been in the main game to begin with to make matters worse.

Isn't the holy night and dark night class already a physical/magic hybrid? Same with the Mortal Savant

to me, not really unless you love FE which I do. Missions were creative and I particuarly liked this one where ill just say youre disadvantaged to avoid spoilers. But the characters are meh, one class I liked for lystheia but other than that its subpar. You can make maddening runs way easier with easier access to weapons and accessories but still not too impressive. For me im willing to buy it to support a franchise i love

besides the secondary story and the auxiliary maps i liked the fact that the shadow dlc added content for all your later runs i have to say without a shadow of a doubt it is one of the best dlc packs ever. although i have to say you can see they were with little budjet and towards the end they finished the budjet they don't start coming out + new secondaries. some dialogues in the normal run you start repeating finish the asylum missions great dlc much better than the engage one i have to say (which anyway even if inferior to that even that dlc pack is valuable)

The dlc of Zelda Breath Of The Wild was garbage and this one looks the same... I don't know how people doesnt see that the content of Botw dlc is pure garbage. New game plus? Cd Project Red gives you that for free in The Witcher 3.
Well, my hate is because I remember people saying back in 2017 that the dlc of Botw was amazing and that: "Nintendo knows how to make dlcs."
    Fucking garbage.
These dlcs are just cash grabs, they dont add anything that really matters. The majority of the fandom of Nintendo feels like they are on drugs, everything that Nintendo throw is the best thing ever.

Personally, I think if the FE3H DLC would have made everyone happy if they introduced a dedicated storyline for those who slither in the dark. Their perspective are the only perspective you don't really get to see and it would've satisfied a lot of people. I agree with your thoughts on BOTW DLC though. However, the Mario + Rabbids DLC was flat out AMAZING! I know M+R isn't a Nintendo title per se, but I'm sure they were looking over their shoulder the whole time during development.

@Juan Zelda is my fav game franchise so I don’t say this lightly but I have to disagree with you on botw being better than TW3. Botw is good but not enough Zelda and too much pointless wandering and repetition with enemies and world design. The shrines get so tiresome, the side quests only give you food or rupees which there are far faster methods to procure. Plus durability is stupid in this game. Why do all weapons last only two fights? The DLC was pretty meh. They basically had us chase down random stuff and replay fights we already paid for in the main game. Plus the extra “dungeon” was pretty weak. The boss battle was fun I’ll give you that. Easily the best one in the game.
TW3 had an actual story, enemy diversity, world diversity, thought out missions and gameplay, good graphics and solid frames. Plus they weee actually fair with durability in TW3.
I really hope tears of the kingdom fixes a lot of what BOTW did wrong and make it more Zelda feeling again.
