Hey guys! So turns out, due to early access, I've got Battlefield 2042 now. As such, this is going to be my last Battlefield 1 video for a while now. Hope you all enjoy :)
Finally someone who appreciates the parabellum , 2nd fastest ttk for an automatic weapon accompanied with a 100 round mag and a bipod. All off set by high recoil which makes it a high skill high reward weapon. And the cherry on top, that beautiful chiming of the belt.
I almost forgot how amazing the soundtrack for this game is. I prefer martini henry infantry over the sniper model.. used it since the launch of the game. It's a gentleman's gun, sleek design, godlike sound, unmatched satisfaction when clearing narrow alleys of Amiens.
Yeah, that's it. When I unlocked this gun, i was like "well it's good but I will need to keep it hard to finally unlock martini henry sniper version" and you know what? When i unlocked sniper variant and played with it a bit, I felt like "why am i doing this sneaky gunplay with martini henry, this fun aggressive rush with onetaps on infantry version is way much cooler"
The thing 5hat gets me w/ the martini henry is that since it’s a one shot weapon w/ a high recoil, its a pain to adjust your shots when zeroing in on long range targets.
I really miss how unique the balancing design was in this game. All of the weapon classes had a very unique feel to them. I wish we could see those designs/quirks/gimmicks again.
So happy to see this for the end of 2021 and going into 2022. Battlefield 1 is one of the greatest online multiplayer shooters that have ever existed on new generation consoles.
I'm astonished that the MP18 trench is not on the list. The assault starter weapon remains my universal go-to after all this time. Hip shot accuracy out to stupid ranges, competitive TTK, big magazine and a quick reload makes this weapon my most used in this game.
It deserves mention. They left the MP18 in a great state. By doing so it always felt like you didn't HAVE to be an SMG08 or Hellriegel nerd. And even the automatico had its place
Still works in 2022! Thanks for helping me out! I kept few days after installing I noticed that I have been using the worst weapons while fighting, and wondered: “Why the hell do I keep dying but the enemies dont?” This is why. Truly thank you and make sure you keep doing BattleField 1 content!
I remember when the SMG 08/18 was first released, it had a much slower rate of fire, and was deemed one of the worst guns in the game. Now, it's considered one of the best.
I’ve got at least 10 service stars with all smgs and I gotta say the Automatico storm is a level of its own, idk why it feels so good but I constantly top leaderboards with it, I feel like I’m able to stretch the range on it better than other smgs
Because it has the best TTK of the game thanks to its no match rate of fire of 1200 rounds/minute :D So even with a mid range ennemy, bullets reach him soooo fast it correct partly the decreasing precision. In the same time, you fire twice more bullet, so in the same time range more bullets can hit the ennemy, despite the spread... I'm nor sure to be clear...😅 Anyway, I prefer the Hellrigel with assault for mid range, brcause way more ammo, and best control to track target ; but automatico trench is my king for close quarter :)

The Fedorov Optical was my go to weapon years ago. Now I've come back to the game and tried out the Trench variant just today. Finished the round with a 44 - 21 k/d on a loss, lol. Great Video, cheers! Love to see BF 1 alive and kicking in 2022!
Maybe it's something irrational in me, but I've always found the Cei Rigotti to be an incredibly reliable medic gun, in spite of its 4 hit kill. I can't argue with the 1916 as a pick for the list though, I've done some crazy stuff with that on assaults in Operations
The weapon variety os bigger than this list makes it seem. People just like what "feels" right. Had a friend that liked the automatico while i hated it.
I've always thought the Gewehr 95 infantry is underrated for aggressive sniping; controllable recoil, very fast reload and a decent rate of fire makes it a very reliable choice even without a scope. Nice list though :)
Yes ! Both the 95 and the ross rifle have a straight action, i don't understand why there's not many people using them, the follow ups are crazy and the ross have a really nice mid range sweetspot that i really enjoy
Just started playing BF1 again. My go to guns are the img 08/18, Ribeyrolles & automatico. Hope the player base stays alive for years to come, definitely one of the best shooters ever made.
personally I found it a bit boring. I came for the guns not a history lesson. I wouldn't even be here if I could remember where I once found gun statistics for weapons, so now I'm just trying to figure out what guns are the best. Not easy with a bunch of babble in between of every weapon.
Selb will always beat it by having same bullets to kill and way ..waaay more ammo .I never understood why anyone chose the mondragon over it ever but to each their own .
I remember getting the Martini-Henry a couple of days after the game released and the first time you chained multiple kills together just felt amazing. The relentless thumping of the gun is incredible. I used the M.95 a lot early on as I like the high damage but decent rate of fire for a bolt action. Got my 18 service stars with the Automatico though to max out assault, you’d often outshoot people with shotguns
One weird weapon I used to dominate with early on in BF1 was the Gewher M.95 Carbine. That straight pull bolt and less weight was nice. I wish you had the option to take off the optical sight though.
The SMLE is by far my favorite infantry configured scout weapon. Great sight picture and that 10 round magazine really shines in closer range encounters.
The MP18 is the worst SMG of the good ones, it may have moderate recoil (still throws off aim a lot with 2.5x optics though), recoil doesn't matter that much for SMG's because at ranges where it does make any difference, you're dealing min damage anyway. Furthermore the deviation added per shot is exactly the same as on the SMG08, Automatico or Annihilator and because it has such slow rate of fire, you're just left with a low dps inaccurate weapon when you factor in time. It simply doesn't have the capability to shoot in short bursts and recover accuracy between them. You need longer bursts if you want to compete on DPS, thus more random deviation. The Huot low weight is nice, but the Lewis gun shares most of its advantages, like the ability to single-fire crazy fast, plus it has much more ammo in the mag. The M1903 Marksman is nice, but the M1917 Enfield has the same sweet spot and bullet velocity, but higher rate of fire and comes with a suppressor.
Maybe really unpopular opinion but the m1903 experimental is an absolute beast once you get used to sniping with its iron sights, and the semi auto option on it is certainly pretty fun to play with. Also a very overlooked weapon is the Burton lmg trench, It's basically an annihilator trench but with better range and the ability to damage planes quite good with its incindiary ammo. It's very mobile and very good. For medic id say the RSC optical. It has a 2 shot kill within a certain range and is very satisfying to use. Though drawbacks is that it's pretty bad close range and it's low mag size. For assault the automatico storm. I've read other comments here and I agree that the storm variant is better than the trench variant. It was my go to weapon in assault before the smg08 and the annihilator trench were added.
Yeah, Parabellum is by far my go-to Support weapon whenever I use that class. Medic class I'm hung up on for weapons and, thus, I don't really play that class much. Assault class I main the Maschinenpistole Experimental because I main the AN-94 in BF4. Scout class I main the 1903 Experimental because I really love that I can play both somewhat passive and aggressive at the same time.
I had a filthy conquest game today in Argonne with the Parabellum after finally getting around to unlocking it. I was an LMG 08/18 man myself but my god when I went on a 10 streak tear with the Parabellum, it made sense why it'd be #1. The fact that it's a support weapon is almost illegal with unlimited ammo.
love your selection. There are a lot of good guns depending on situation as you pointed out. For me, though: assault: -automatico trench, the gun that fits me best (just fits my mouse and aiming like a glove, unlike the smg08 for example) -ribeye royalle factory for more long distance (like the russian maps) -shotguns I haven't used as much (not my style) but filling up the codex now, I got used to the m97 backbored medic: - fedorov avtamat factory (I would add to your video that tap firing rapidly makes it extremely viable at longer ranges as well as it becomes something like an accurate carabine pistol) - selbslader marksman (same reasons as you pointed out) support: - bar trench or storm normally (since I like to play a bit more aggressive and it matches my assault playstyle) - similar to the m97 backbored, got really used to the benet mercie telescopic as well - mg1917 telescopic: perfect gun for taking down planes with large mag (doesn't fit my playstyle otherwise) scout: - lebel infantry and martini henry infantry my two most used scout weapons since I play more aggresive the martini I always bring out in closed rooms and corridors (sound orgasm) while the iron sights and rapid fire of the lebel just make it ideal for me - russian sniper: for long ranges (I know the stats, but just like the other guns mentioned here, this one brings me more accuracy and kills)
Appreciate it man. Your picks are top not as well. Don't worry too much about stats for the bolt-actions though, they are mostly up to feel at the end of the day. The Russian can still be incredible!
Awesome video dude, I love that you included some of the actual history of the weapons. Theres so many strange sounding guns in this game I often wonder wtf. Just downloaded this game in 2022 and its still rolling. Wish I could've caught a game with you, I def see the skills.
MP18 trench is super underrated. Also the rebeyrolles factory. Not that it’s a great fun but the cei rigotti optical for some reason turns me into a killing machine. I have some insane clips of just plowing through enemies with that thing
What’s great is that any gun can be the best gun in the game if you use it the right way, the MG low weight 1917 can shred if you play you know, the support role (aka, suppressing fire, ammunition support, playing back with mortars)
I would’ve liked to see the RSC 1917 on this list. Super high skill ceiling weapon and the most satisfying one in the game in my opinion. Can easily outclass enemies at any range due to the two shot kill capability
10:46 personally i use the 8.35 marksman because you can dump the mag into someone and kill them quickly and also be effective at long range, and typically I run the obrez or some revolver like the mkvi or the number three so dealing with multiple enemies isn’t that bad. But the extended is still an awesome choice!
A good weapons list. I like French weapons, and would give honorable mentions to the RSC 1917. At first, the sluggish ROF makes it unfriendly to use compared to all other medic rifles with twice the ROF. But it's a powerhouse at medium range, with its 50 dmg/hit under 70m. The Chauchat Low Weight is also my favorite LMG, low ROF/high damage, very accurate.
The best thing about the RSC is that you'd catch people off guard. They'd see a medic and think they need to land 3+ shots so they don't play as carefully. Then they get the surprise when it's doing over 50 damage a shot and they're back at the spawn screen
I can see why you did not include the Ribeyrolles 1918; it is not the best in any category. I however personally like it for it’s insanely well rounded stats and bipod, making it the best smg at medium range, and it’s crazy accuracy make it feel like an LMG at times. Even though it’s not a great option for CQC, remember, it’s still an smg, and it still shreds like one.

the martini henry sniper being on this list at all is absolutely diabolical. the martini henry was the best before the early nerf but now the iron sighted version is only mildly good. the sniper is absolutely HORRIBLE due to slow reload speed and slow muzzle velocity
I mean, the Vertilli Vertalli is a pretty serious sniper in the game with a super poor fall-off range, but it almost plays like a 4-rounded Martini. Very slept on IMO

Gewehr 95 is my most used weapon by far. Fast rate of fire, quick reload, solid damage, you can play sure aggressive as a sniper. Pair it with the bodeo for close ranges, you can be incredibly effective
I think the Gewehr 95 deserves a bit of love, like its such a nice rifle, especially the carbine version for aggressive quick scoping and quick reloading
I think the Ribeyrolles deserves to be on par with the SMG 08/18 in this list. It doesn't have the TTK or the mag size of the 08/18, but what it has is best in class performance over range, and the most consistent SMG on all ranges. Although I've killed more people in CQC engagements with the 08/18, I've won more duels against supports and medics over mid ranges with the Ribeyrolles than the 08/18.
Missing RSC on this list, very high damage output and good at a wide variety of ranges, it's not only one of the most versatile weapons in the game but also one of the strongest when used with good aim.
RSC is THE GOAT! It falls a bit in close range in comparison with other medical weapons, but even tho it can be pretty reliable, since it’s often 2 shot kill

The M1907 Trench is the WW1 version of the famed M1 Carbine in fact both guns were made created by Winchester. In game it's a decent weapon if your running assault or of course medic class

Done my fair share of work in the scout class, and I always loved the smle. Almost every variant of it. It was very competitive when used aggressively in operations and conquest. Never really liked the gehwer 98. That sweet spot just didn’t work for me
That makes a lot of sense actually. Scout weapons are a pain to rank, since the opinion is gonna vary between user. SMLE used to be my baby, just now... I kinda suck with it. Well, suck more then usual
@@co1e. I just zero my Gewehr98 for 75m and get them medium range streaks at lowest zoom. Been working wonders for me considering I can't snipe for shit from long-range.
I really prefer the M1903 Experimental for my scout rifle need. I don't know what it is about it but in its sniper mode the iron sights just worked for me, excellent for getting sweetspot kills while counter sniping, and excellent for lining up with the heads of closer enemies. And of course, you always got the experimental part which you can fall back onto after sniping
The 1903 Springfield was a direct variant of the 98 Mauser, and was considered so similar that Springfield armory had to pay royalties to Mauser for every rifle produced after Mauser sued.
I would say the autoloading 8.35 marksman is up there with the RSC because of its time to kill quite quick but RSC is definitely a great rifle it's just up close sort of so but it's definitely used a fair bit also Where's the bar is it really not used as much as I think it is because I thought it would at least be an honourable mention
It's use has kinda dropped off a bit. I used it for a video a couple months ago and it is pretty far from where it once was. It's still awesome, I just like the others more
Are you on about the bar because if so its probably just me because in my hands its a lazer death stick especially the telescopic version just melts people of course having to reload it after every mag is pretty much its downside to me but sometimes i do get a couple kills in one mag

I just reinstalled the game and the first game was a nice game but the second game I played was amazing we were fighting for the command posts all game long and we were just behind and than we got the blimp and in the final second we overtook the enemy team in score and won 1000/999 amazing!
smle mkIII marksman is my favorite gun overall, so well rounded to the point of almost being boring, but Ive been using it since the first hour I played the game

Loved the Lewis gun, Federov, Auto.25 and the MP 18
The Automatico Storm was just another level, I used to just non stop sprint the map seeing how many kills I could get with it
Only thing that holds it back is ammo capacity
Automatico trench was my go-to until I started engaging at longer ranges, then I switched to the storm variant and didn’t look back.

SMLE carbine is my go to. I like the iron sights on it and the 10 round capacity compliments an aggressive scout playstyle.
That's my No1 weapon. I've played that weapon since day 1 and still playing to this day.

The Ross marksman is great because of the sweetspot being at a good range and having a straight pull bolt
Honestly I don't have any go-to weapons in BF1. The guns all feel so unique that it makes me want to constantly switch up my loadouts.
not for Scout class. All the sniper rifles have no differences in general, except G98 and Martini-Henry

Nowhere near the best gun, but I've topped leaderboards so many times with the Vetterli-Vitali, that 20m sweet spot is the stuff of dreams.
The Vitali is so nice when you get it going. Martini with ammo 😍

You do have that option. it’s called the M.95 Infantry. iron sight is amazing and far easier to use than optical imo.

General liu bolt action mode is so underrated. It was my first 100ss. Parabellum mg14/17 can wipe out an entire enemy push in seconds, #1 deserved.

The speed at which you can fire the lever action Russian 1985 (infantry) is so beautiful. It's like- Bam!-Bam! Other snipers are like- Bam! - Bam!

Also a very overlooked weapon is the Burton lmg trench, It's basically an annihilator trench but with better range and the ability to damage planes quite good with its incindiary ammo. It's very mobile and very good.
For medic id say the RSC optical. It has a 2 shot kill within a certain range and is very satisfying to use. Though drawbacks is that it's pretty bad close range and it's low mag size.
For assault the automatico storm. I've read other comments here and I agree that the storm variant is better than the trench variant. It was my go to weapon in assault before the smg08 and the annihilator trench were added.
Yeah, Parabellum is by far my go-to Support weapon whenever I use that class. Medic class I'm hung up on for weapons and, thus, I don't really play that class much. Assault class I main the Maschinenpistole Experimental because I main the AN-94 in BF4. Scout class I main the 1903 Experimental because I really love that I can play both somewhat passive and aggressive at the same time.

I had a filthy conquest game today in Argonne with the Parabellum after finally getting around to unlocking it. I was an LMG 08/18 man myself but my god when I went on a 10 streak tear with the Parabellum, it made sense why it'd be #1. The fact that it's a support weapon is almost illegal with unlimited ammo.

love your selection. There are a lot of good guns depending on situation as you pointed out.
For me, though:
assault:
-automatico trench, the gun that fits me best (just fits my mouse and aiming like a glove, unlike the smg08 for example)
-ribeye royalle factory for more long distance (like the russian maps)
-shotguns I haven't used as much (not my style) but filling up the codex now, I got used to the m97 backbored
medic:
- fedorov avtamat factory (I would add to your video that tap firing rapidly makes it extremely viable at longer ranges as well as it becomes something like an accurate carabine pistol)
- selbslader marksman (same reasons as you pointed out)
support:
- bar trench or storm normally (since I like to play a bit more aggressive and it matches my assault playstyle)
- similar to the m97 backbored, got really used to the benet mercie telescopic as well
- mg1917 telescopic: perfect gun for taking down planes with large mag (doesn't fit my playstyle otherwise)
scout:
- lebel infantry and martini henry infantry my two most used scout weapons since I play more aggresive
the martini I always bring out in closed rooms and corridors (sound orgasm) while the iron sights and rapid fire of the lebel just make it ideal for me
- russian sniper: for long ranges (I know the stats, but just like the other guns mentioned here, this one brings me more accuracy and kills)
Appreciate it man. Your picks are top not as well. Don't worry too much about stats for the bolt-actions though, they are mostly up to feel at the end of the day. The Russian can still be incredible!

MP18 trench is super underrated. Also the rebeyrolles factory. Not that it’s a great fun but the cei rigotti optical for some reason turns me into a killing machine. I have some insane clips of just plowing through enemies with that thing

What’s great is that any gun can be the best gun in the game if you use it the right way, the MG low weight 1917 can shred if you play you know, the support role (aka, suppressing fire, ammunition support, playing back with mortars)
I loved the medic class too. It was always fun to dominate all of those full auto guns and revive everyone that died before me
agree with you on your ranking 100%, the Barbollum mg 14/17 is already a monster in battlefield 1 and is suitable for all distances

I would’ve liked to see the RSC 1917 on this list. Super high skill ceiling weapon and the most satisfying one in the game in my opinion. Can easily outclass enemies at any range due to the two shot kill capability
Definitely, 6 rounds and slow reload time is tough for medic class however
10:46 personally i use the 8.35 marksman because you can dump the mag into someone and kill them quickly and also be effective at long range, and typically I run the obrez or some revolver like the mkvi or the number three so dealing with multiple enemies isn’t that bad. But the extended is still an awesome choice!
A good weapons list. I like French weapons, and would give honorable mentions to the RSC 1917. At first, the sluggish ROF makes it unfriendly to use compared to all other medic rifles with twice the ROF. But it's a powerhouse at medium range, with its 50 dmg/hit under 70m. The Chauchat Low Weight is also my favorite LMG, low ROF/high damage, very accurate.

The best thing about the RSC is that you'd catch people off guard. They'd see a medic and think they need to land 3+ shots so they don't play as carefully. Then they get the surprise when it's doing over 50 damage a shot and they're back at the spawn screen
The mp18 trench shreds. Don't even have to aim its hip fire accuracy is a laser
I can see why you did not include the Ribeyrolles 1918; it is not the best in any category.
I however personally like it for it’s insanely well rounded stats and bipod, making it the best smg at medium range, and it’s crazy accuracy make it feel like an LMG at times. Even though it’s not a great option for CQC, remember, it’s still an smg, and it still shreds like one.
Mannn i was surprised why that gun wasnt there. The bipod makes it a laser at range and you can still shred upclose. My favorite gun in the game

the martini henry sniper being on this list at all is absolutely diabolical. the martini henry was the best before the early nerf but now the iron sighted version is only mildly good. the sniper is absolutely HORRIBLE due to slow reload speed and slow muzzle velocity
I mean, the Vertilli Vertalli is a pretty serious sniper in the game with a super poor fall-off range, but it almost plays like a 4-rounded Martini. Very slept on IMO

While I don’t use the sweeper as much, the 1907 SL has been my go to medic gun since launch and I’m happy to see someone rank it over the Avtomat.
MG15 N/A is my go-to support weapon. Decent recoil combined with a steady firerate. Good for medium range.
Gewehr 95 is my most used weapon by far. Fast rate of fire, quick reload, solid damage, you can play sure aggressive as a sniper. Pair it with the bodeo for close ranges, you can be incredibly effective

The gewher 98 is great indeed, my main gun with scout was the M1903 but the gewher is really great also

I think the Gewehr 95 deserves a bit of love, like its such a nice rifle, especially the carbine version for aggressive quick scoping and quick reloading
I think the Ribeyrolles deserves to be on par with the SMG 08/18 in this list. It doesn't have the TTK or the mag size of the 08/18, but what it has is best in class performance over range, and the most consistent SMG on all ranges. Although I've killed more people in CQC engagements with the 08/18, I've won more duels against supports and medics over mid ranges with the Ribeyrolles than the 08/18.
Missing RSC on this list, very high damage output and good at a wide variety of ranges, it's not only one of the most versatile weapons in the game but also one of the strongest when used with good aim.
My fave! Used to be the Howell auto until I found this! Factory for me I hate those optical "scopes"
RSC is THE GOAT! It falls a bit in close range in comparison with other medical weapons, but even tho it can be pretty reliable, since it’s often 2 shot kill

The M1907 Trench is the WW1 version of the famed M1 Carbine in fact both guns were made created by Winchester. In game it's a decent weapon if your running assault or of course medic class

Done my fair share of work in the scout class, and I always loved the smle. Almost every variant of it. It was very competitive when used aggressively in operations and conquest. Never really liked the gehwer 98. That sweet spot just didn’t work for me
That makes a lot of sense actually. Scout weapons are a pain to rank, since the opinion is gonna vary between user. SMLE used to be my baby, just now... I kinda suck with it. Well, suck more then usual

I really prefer the M1903 Experimental for my scout rifle need.
I don't know what it is about it but in its sniper mode the iron sights just worked for me, excellent for getting sweetspot kills while counter sniping, and excellent for lining up with the heads of closer enemies.
And of course, you always got the experimental part which you can fall back onto after sniping
The 1903 Springfield was a direct variant of the 98 Mauser, and was considered so similar that Springfield armory had to pay royalties to Mauser for every rifle produced after Mauser sued.

I would say the autoloading 8.35 marksman is up there with the RSC because of its time to kill quite quick but RSC is definitely a great rifle it's just up close sort of so but it's definitely used a fair bit also Where's the bar is it really not used as much as I think it is because I thought it would at least be an honourable mention
It's use has kinda dropped off a bit. I used it for a video a couple months ago and it is pretty far from where it once was. It's still awesome, I just like the others more
Are you on about the bar because if so its probably just me because in my hands its a lazer death stick especially the telescopic version just melts people of course having to reload it after every mag is pretty much its downside to me but sometimes i do get a couple kills in one mag

I just reinstalled the game and the first game was a nice game but the second game I played was amazing we were fighting for the command posts all game long and we were just behind and than we got the blimp and in the final second we overtook the enemy team in score and won 1000/999 amazing!
Gewehr M.95 iron sights is my go to. Thousands and thousands of kills with that amazing gun :)
