Lost and Found: "Live Like Line" Five Years Later

- In August 2011, Iowa City and the volleyball community throughout the state of Iowa were rocked by the tragic and untimely death of Caroline Found, Iowa City West High's All-State setter and emotional leader; it was an unspeakable double tragedy, as her mother, Ellyn, succumbed to pancreatic cancer just days later.
"Line" was a friend to all she met and was not simply a star athlete. She went out of her way to include everyone in everything. Through the "Best Buddy" program, she brought her "Buddy" trick-or-treating for the first time. She helped another less fortunate student become a manager of West High's football team. And it didn't stop there: as her parents would shut her phone at 11 p.m. each night, Line would be texting up to 20 people before the clock struck 11 p.m., balancing friendships and forging relationships between unlikely pairs -- like the greatest juggler of all.
On the court, her team was left to not only deal with the physical loss of their star player -- but the loss of their emotional leader. In a script that only Hollywood could write, the reigning State Champion Women of Troy rallied to make it back to the State Finals, where they defeated their crosstown rivals -- naturally, by overcoming a 2-0 set deficit.
This remarkable story has become the subject of books, documentaries, and an upcoming feature-length film starring Helen Hunt. But in this CBS 2 / FOX 28 Exclusive, Sports Reporter Mia O'Brien not only travels back with those who were there to remember the girl who "changed West High," but also looks at how much this story continues to inspire those near and far to "Live Like Line."

I saw 'The Miracle Season' today (it actually came out today) and I loved it. My 10 year old said to me after "Mom I want to try volleyball" and I almost cried. Caroline's story will continue to inspire and hopefully my daughter will love volleyball.

Miracle season is one of the greatest movies which i hv watched
Just watched " The miracle season" . I am a 58 year old man with a 20 year old son. I cried like a baby, I CAN NOT imagine the pain of the loss of your child. She is a beautiful young lady and her personality shown even brighter. She not only made her mark with everyone around her but also others from afar. I have seem to have "lost "my sense of appreciation for life or being grateful regardless of whats thrown my way or because of whats missing. In many ways your daughters life continues... she's part of the reason my appreciation and gratefulness for life have been " Found"! , thank you " Line" !

Loved the movie. We took our entire team along with all of the parents and coaches to watch this together. It was perfect timing as it was the last tournament weekend of 2018 club spring season. They did a review afterwords which is on my channel in case you would like to watch.

Not really. Some drunk high school girl runs her fucking moped into a curb, and now she's like a hero? How fucking stupid are people anyway? West High has had some majorly scandalous events happening there. College coach pays refs so his sons can win a championship, claiming his sons cancer as the reason he did it. A high school coach got a cheerleader pregnant a few years back. Girl got an abortion and nothing ever happened to the coach.
