I'm new to watching the WNBA and I'm hoping that I don't see and / or hear about someone taking physical action against a new player. That could decimate the current rise in WNBA viewership and interest. It should never go that way at all, but it could.

I was never a "FAN" for any WNBA team, even my own local Chicago Sky. But I began watching this incredible player's last college season and I was beyond impressed. Caitlin Clark is exactly what this WNBA league needs to mirror. It's her Skill Level, her Sportsmanship, and her ability to include her entire team for the sole purpose of winning games rather than trying to steal the show.

Angel Reece may be a REASONABLY good player, but she’s NOT brilliant. Half her offensive rebounds are from shots that she has just put up and missed! Some of them are rebounds from her SECOND attempt! Reece doesn’t have a passing game, can’t do lay-ups and definitely doesn’t sink threes from extreme distance. She’s an okay player, NOT a brilliant one. I feel sorry for her, because the Clark haters have laid all this pressure on Reece, to be the main opponent in the ROTY conversation, when she is not able to go head to head against someone with the talent that Clark has, at; shooting, assists, out-thinking the opposition defence, etc, etc, etc.
I just watched the Sky Suns game and none of them were that great. Let's be real outside of Caitlin it's still the same sloppy basketball nobody wanted to watch for the past 30 years. The four "stars" in the game shot for a combined 15-58. It was an ugly game despite the score. I can say there were a lot of kids in the stands and they looked like they were having a great time. It might never be a league for true sports fans but if it can become a family friendly event then I'm rooting for it to keep growing.

So let's push pause a second... I dislike Sheryl Swoopes heavily and not a Sue Bird fan either. That said - the comments about Lexi Hull - absolutely 100% correct. Aliyah Boston - 100% correct. Mitchell... she's smoking hot right now, hustling coast to coast and just making things happen all over the place. Now, if you take away Clark - this team is sub par at best and these women do not have near as many looks as they're getting, teams play different defensive coverages and you have a whole different standing. I am one who you are describing. I have had no interest in Women's BB. However, Catlin's story and performance has changed all that. She is exciting to watch. There are several things that I think draw attention: 1. her obvious stats 2. how she is elevating her teammates thru her passing ability. 3. she doesn't bitch about how tough it is. Never once had any interest in watching a WNBA game, but now with Caitlin Clark I'm intrigued and I'm pulling for her with all the hate she receives for no reason. If it wasn't for her nobody would be watching. She's a hell of a player and is already the goat of the WNBA history.

Angel Reece may be a REASONABLY good player, but she’s NOT brilliant. Half her offensive rebounds are from shots that she has just put up and missed! Some of them are rebounds from her SECOND attempt! Reece doesn’t have a passing game, can’t do lay-ups and definitely doesn’t sink threes from extreme distance. She’s an okay player, NOT a brilliant one. I feel sorry for her, because the Clark haters have laid all this pressure on Reece, to be the main opponent in the ROTY conversation, when she is not able to go head to head against someone with the talent that Clark has, at; shooting, assists, out-thinking the opposition defence, etc, etc, etc.
I just watched the Sky Suns game and none of them were that great. Let's be real outside of Caitlin it's still the same sloppy basketball nobody wanted to watch for the past 30 years. The four "stars" in the game shot for a combined 15-58. It was an ugly game despite the score. I can say there were a lot of kids in the stands and they looked like they were having a great time. It might never be a league for true sports fans but if it can become a family friendly event then I'm rooting for it to keep growing.

So let's push pause a second... I dislike Sheryl Swoopes heavily and not a Sue Bird fan either. That said - the comments about Lexi Hull - absolutely 100% correct. Aliyah Boston - 100% correct. Mitchell... she's smoking hot right now, hustling coast to coast and just making things happen all over the place. Now, if you take away Clark - this team is sub par at best and these women do not have near as many looks as they're getting, teams play different defensive coverages and you have a whole different standing. But I do believe these 3 women especially deserve credit - We all know Caitlin is special - and early this season when these women weren't catching passes, or lobbing bricks up, or not knowing when to shoot off an awesome pass where they were wide open - Caitlin has turned them and this team into winners. They deserve some credit for their massive improvement. Especially Mitchell... Boston we all knew she was a monster but she's getting great looks now, and when you have someone like Clark who can just easily feed you... your game just elevates. I think Caitlin is the type of player and person to know people see her and know her game is gold... i think she's also the type of player to want these other teammates to get credit, to get the pat on the back so that they have that confidence built up so they can vye for a championship run. I am one who you are describing. I have had no interest in Women's BB. However, Catlin's story and performance has changed all that. She is exciting to watch. There are several things that I think draw attention:
1. her obvious stats
2. how she is elevating her teammates thru her passing ability.
3. she doesn't bitch about how tough it is. She is game and a sportsman.
4. she isn't calling out the race card... and she could!
In general she is a class act and a role model for the young.
