So far I've retrofitted 2019 taillights on the back (required a hell of a lot of sanding/ cutting off an inch of the lights on both sides but it looks damn good at night). I've put a 2019 sync 3 module/ Touch Screen in & attempted to do a new radio bezel to go with it, but ran into a loss of HVAC (this being because I have the rear climate too) so I had to again modify the shit out of the original 4.2 bezel and made it an 8" monstrosity (bc that plug @ 6:04) no idea how to find the pinout / or the new plug utilized in the 2019 model w/o buying an entire dash harness. I also installed a civilian center console from a 2019 and yep those sync USB cables you got from another vehicle I have coming in so I can attempt to use the USBs in the vehicle bc someone was kind enough to cut most of my harnesses and cables in half in the vehicle. I plan on wiring in a sound system but I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun to jerry-rig my already jerry-rigged sync 3 head unit lol.
I just picked up a 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor Sedan as my daily driver and need to make the same upgrade. I might have missed it but how hard would you say this was to install. From your video it seems rather straightforward.
What's a good website to get a replacement stereo? My 2016 doesn't have USB/Aux/Bluetooth and nothing is connected to the steering wheel, I'm wanting to upgrade and add a middle console as well
I am trying to do this same swap, but I don't have the wire harness to plug it in , I bought the back up camera, factory for and the factory Ford ten in screen, where do I get the harness to plug it in?
My 2017 POLICE TAURUS radio signal reception is pretty much out of order. I checked the antenna connections at the rear glass, the kick panel on passenger side and the FUSE 29 and still no signal. Any ideas? Should I take the actual head unit apart to see if it’s not properly connected?

Since sync is standard on PIs after 2016 would it be possible to put a sync unit from a 2017-2019 into a 2013-2016 one that wasn't equipped with sync or will the sync from that year still try to read if the VIN of the car was sold with Sync?
Possible but not easy or cost effective. The APIM is VIN locked and will need to be programmed with Ford IDS, not FORScan. You will also need to create a wiring harness to get it to work. Much easier to buy CarNaviPlayer or the Tesla style head unit
By far, the worst radio on the market do not listen to this guy I have this exact same radio and now I’m having to completely replace everything because it just refuses to play any sound. Does not play sound on the radio does not play sound when you click on anything and it does not play sound on Apple CarPlay The sound just kicks on and off whenever it decides to

The bolts in mine are 7mm.
