Agreed. I wish that there were "full" versions we could buy/stream/download. This one is great, and the California Dreaming intro for the NCR was outstanding.
Minor correction, becoming Idolised with the Followers is pretty easy, _if_ you have a bunch of Meds to donate and do some of their quests. (Rad-away, Med-X and Fixer, if memory serves.) If you're not in a hurry, you can do the 'High Times' quest, after which they will give you Meds once every 24 hours, then donate them straight back for Followers influence at zero cost in Rad-away and Fixer and if you've done the Sierra Madre, Med-X shouldn't be an issue either. There's an upper limit, Julie will tell you when they have enough of each type of Med, but you can gain a _lot_ of influence with the Followers this way.
Clearly my favourite ending. It just feels so right, but with DLCs. Courier without them is like unexperienced soldier. Though Courier can become the best leader for New Vegas, with DLCs. Honest Hearts determined Courier's worldview. Dead Money hardened Courier with all the difficulties, and made him/her better leader by cooperating with Christine, Dog/God and Dean Domino. Old World Blues provided Courier with technologies to actually build some logistics. Lonesome Road tempered Courier at last. Other than that, Courier has HELIOS One and Hoover Dam - powerful energy stations, Quarry Junction to finish the rail road. After completing all of the DLCs we have not just some tough soldier, but wise and experienced leader with great opportunities in restoring and improving Wasteland's community.

Hey Oxhorn, just wanted to thank you for introducing New Vegas to me with this series. It's now in my top five of my favorite games. It's even gotten me back into writing. Thank you! I've finished an NCR playthrough on the PS3 and now that I have a working PC I'm having fun with mods for it. Which thank goodness for mods letting me use a controller, because I'm worse with a keyboard then you are with an xbox controller.
This has got to be my new favorite intro for any series you've done Ox. :D It's so catchy and I could listen to it all day. My only gripe is that it wasn't longer. :P

It took a lot of surgery to move my game installation from my streaming rig to my gaming rig. Along the way mods got messed up. I haven't fixed the one for helmets yet.
I dunno... Bit of a personal opnion here but... NC was a bit dissapointing.. Given how long its been at work it's still really lacking on a few places..

after you defuse the bomb, approach the guy who lets you on the roof with the "pretty please" speech check. Warn him that you defused the bomb, he advises the rangers with kimball to get him out of there, and he doesn't get killed. Easy way to skip the other mentioned steps and ignore that damn 2 minute speech
I always knew that NV was a more gruesome mature game, but I never realized by how much until I watched Ox just walk up to Pearl and brutally dome her and walk off LOL!
Certainly sounds like the Yes Man ending needs lot of work to be a good ending. In a way, I imagine kicking the NCR out of the Mojave would be good for allowing the NCR to take a step back and secure the territory they already have. Also with a few scapegoats, it would allow them to put some people into power that won't stretch them so thin in the future. But Yes Man is just an army at this point. You need more than that to build a nation. It's good that House left a lot of notes for the Courier and Yes Man to follow. Maybe House dreams of space and a tram that is fully functional and on times doesn't have to die with him. I really wonder what treasure troves of knowledge Yeas Man gets access too?

Dead Money should have included an option to set up a Sierra Madre fabrication machine at the Followers HQ. Being able to easily fabricate Stimpacks would make their job a lot easier. Old World Blues should have included an option to move the Biological Research Station from the Sink to Followers HQ. The base game should have had the option to repair Caesar's auto-doc and give it to the Followers.
Ox, I have to be honest, your fallout 3 and fallout nv walkthroughs got through a lot of tough missions, that I don’t think I would figure out on my own. Thank you!
Ya know, as we go through this ending I can't help but think about the potential parallels that could have been done with this and the "Mayor for a Day" quest line in 76.... Even having player controlled/instigated events randomly picking a player on the server to be mayor for a little period of time (probably an hour or two at a time) so long as they finished the quest line ect… Ah well. This however is a rather fun series to watch.
Is there some secret setting that you have to have your game run at 60 fps when you're in the wasteland? My game tanks to sub 30 whenever I go outside, but when I am inside however, I get 60+ frames reliably. Please help!

To show every fact and detail, and even entertain theorys using all the facts and evidence you can is really awesome. I think it’s very important to note that new Vegas being independent is the best for Vegas and the NCR. The presence of a new empire would cause the ncr to have to focus on their own territory instead of expanding, with the new empire of Vegas able to expand and support a new nation to allow another government for the people. These are just my thoughts though. I really don’t think any other options are good for the mojave.

Good ol' New Vegas. After finally finishing my first playthrough of FO4 i know why FO:NV it is indeed one of the best Fallout games. Nothing make you wish to patrol the mojave than another settlement that needs your help at 64% dropping morality. Personaly i mostly side with House till the situation with Kimbal is cleared.
Thanks Ox, because of you I started playing New Vegas again and surprisingly I'm actually enjoying it, and i know alot of people say Obsidian should have the rights to Fallout again, but there is a problem with that now I could be wrong but if Obsidian had the rights to Fallout that would make it a Microsoft exclusive since they are owned by Microsoft.
Instead of cutting the light show from the game for the reason you described, they could probably have just had a pop-up message stating something along the lines of Yes-Man downloading something and having this last into the night.
Man all these Years I didn't know that you can get FoA's support for Independent ending. This is makes even more clear that Yes-Man ending is better than other 3 endings.
They should've made it a stealth mission; make it so to complete it you have to go to the substation at night to install it. That would've solved that problem.
Even though we may never know, I think yes man is the most cannon ending. Just seems the most realistic, and with the courier at the top of the Mojave it’s kinda like hero’s journey. Start from the grave to the most powerful person in the new Vegas. I’m open to change my opinion though.
i have a comment on the cut content about new vegas lighting up at night, i dont think they couldnt overcome that, they can always set the quest as time locked like in oblivion. i.e you have to come back at a certain time to do the quest, its probably the underwhelwing light effect
I find it weird though. Wouldn't the NCR being as large as they are. Have massive stockpiles of emp grenades from their wars with the Enclave and Brotherhood? Even with upgrades. As I recall, those securitrons of House are very much vulnerable to those things.

Man all these Years I didn't know that you can get FoA's support for Independent ending. This is makes even more clear that Yes-Man ending is better than other 3 endings.
They should've made it a stealth mission; make it so to complete it you have to go to the substation at night to install it. That would've solved that problem.
Even though we may never know, I think yes man is the most cannon ending. Just seems the most realistic, and with the courier at the top of the Mojave it’s kinda like hero’s journey. Start from the grave to the most powerful person in the new Vegas. I’m open to change my opinion though.
Can't wait until you do the true ending: kill every npc you can as soon as you encounter them.
i have a comment on the cut content about new vegas lighting up at night, i dont think they couldnt overcome that, they can always set the quest as time locked like in oblivion. i.e you have to come back at a certain time to do the quest, its probably the underwhelwing light effect
