This truly is how it feels like! Vivaldi composed this concerto not too long before his death. In fact, it is considered by many Vivaldi scholars--and lovers--his "Swan Song" his "Farewell Concerto". One of the most beautiful and heart-felt pieces of music ever!
Vivaldi is noticeable for two reasons: first, his themes are most always very simple but he knows how to use them quite efficiently and second this ability to develop simple themes becomes immediately idiomatic depending upon the intsrument(s) he uses. This is why this is a great concerto: the melodic or conytrapunctic invention is rather poor, but he makes a superb use of the simple material he chose.
@Gérard Begni yes i am agree What do you think, what kind of lute is it; it sounds like a mandola in alt pitch , not as a 'big lute' but the combination here is heel erg mooi !
Do note that Vivaldi DID write quite a lot of more complex pieces, fugues and counterpoint, however what you said about even the simplest of Vivaldi's pieces still making excellent use of said simplicity is very true. A lot of other composers seem so constrained by complexity, but Vivaldi, all the while being entirely able to wield said complexity just as well, also allowed himself to write more simple pieces which he still made interesting through orchestration or auditive Illusions. (and many of said pieces are simple cause he was a music teacher at a girl's orphanage, so he made student pieces, but still managed to make them interesting).
Apparently it’s a 6-7 stringed instrument similar to the violin, but has what are known as “sympathetic strings” which are auxiliary strings that help enhance the resonance of certain chords played as evident throughout the song. Although I’m sure you’ve found this answer in the 6 years since you asked it😂
Vivaldi is under-rated... But that is good because those who truly appreciate beautiful music have the opportunity to listen to such perfection.
wonderful....I dont want to come back down to earth ever

The two reasons go for Mozart as well ...
