Your happiness to quilt for the animal aid association is noticeable. What a joy of this work you have done and you transmit us on this video! Your quilts are superb. Thank you Jane and Michael and the puppies!
My mother sewed all her quilts by hand beautiful on both sides. We had her sign it,it took her 1 year queen size. I flip it over to cream side in spring. I love your quilts.😊
My sister is a prolific hobby quilter. Besides full sized bed quilts, she does lap covers for the wheelchair bound, and lots of throw-sized (60” X 45” ish) ones. Almost all are donated to those in need or two hospitals and nursing homes in her area. Her work, like yours, is beautiful! She still works full time too. I have tons of respect for the hardworking people, like yourself, who do this labour intensive work for the benefit of others.
Ive come to really love your channel. Im 67 year old retired woman who wants to live much more frugally. I don't drive or have a car . But i do live in a very walkable city with good public transportation. I love your quilt. Its gorgeous. I know how to knit and crochet. Thanks for your lovely videos.
Thanks for sharing and supporting animals. They are beautiful. It reminds me of watching my grandmother and aunt make quilts for our families. I still have a couple. I do use them and have worn some out. 🐕🦺🐈🐕🐈⬛🐕🐈🐕🦺🐈⬛🐕🦺🐈🐕🐈⬛
Hi!!! Judy from Oklahoma, USA, here. First time watching your channel; I just happened upon it, and I am glad that I did. I love the way you sashed these blocks with the black print, and I will definitely be using this concept in the near future. I have a lot of the fabric that you used in this quilt; I got mine from Temu; the pinks and reds. This is a most beautiful, beautiful quilt. It is touching that you do so much for animals; a noble endeavor, indeed!!! I just started quilting about 3-4 years ago and I am totally and thoroughly addicted!!!! I have sewn all my life making most of my daughter's clothing when they were little. They are women with children of their own now. I do have a 7 yo granddaughter that I sew for. I am 69 and figured that I had better get busy quilting. I have always wanted to try; but did not due to apparel sewing and then work. Am retired now and sewing is my therapy and my sewing room/guest bedroom is my happy place!!! Thank you so very much for sharing your talent and time with us; so much appreciated!!! ❤
Beautiful quilt Jane, reminds me of stained glass! What a great charity shop haul, the UK charity shops aren't anywhere nearly as good for cotton sheets. I've been lucky to have been given a couple of cotton duvet sets to make lavender bags, and sewing pattern weights for raising money for Parkinsons charity. ❤🇬🇧
I’m a quilter and came across you by the algorithm gods. I LOVE your quilt, and though I’ve resisted the idea of anything but quilting on a domestic machine, I found your one hour quilting time to be tempting!
I have very much enjoyed tonight's video; thank you. I sat down to watch you while sewing the binding to the back of a quilt I am making for a charity fundraiser, so the topic was most apt. Some of the fabric in this quilt has been gifted, and some has come from charity shop hauls.
Your quilts are ‘works of art’ which someone will fall in love with, spread over their bed. I bet it brings a smile to their face just looking at it, and knowing the money goes to the animal shelter. You are doing great things!❤
I am so glad seeing all of these! My love for animals, my love for hand made, my love for thrifty and my love for you, makes me smile. Love yoy for doing this!! ❤❤❤
I love when you show quilting videos. I’ve started quilting again after many years of not doing so. Recently I taught a class at the library in which we made a quilted zig zag table runner. I love the colors in your quilt and your resourcefulness in using a sheet for backing. Well done!
So lovely you offer your time and expertise for charity, You are very kind. I use vintage white cotton, linen or "métis" sheets. Super reasonable and they dye so well too! Thanks for sharing
That's one of my favorite quilts you have shared with us. It's colorful, creative, and goes to help an excellent cause. Well done, Jane! On another note, I was tempted to get a puppy yesterday, but now isn't the best time to do so. Instead, I will admire from afar - especially the lovely Dolly and Mary. Woofs to the girls! ❤🐾❤🐾
You won’t regret your puppy (!) and you will know when it’s the right time. I’m of the age that I fear any pet I get now will outlive me - and the outcomes for animals in that situation is often pretty grim. So instead I get my “puppy fixes” by dog-sitting my daughter’s dogs on occasion, and when the hot summer weather reaches the point where they are at risk of heat stroke (we almost lost one of her little dogs that way a couple of years ago. It was horrendous.) My house has a/c but hers does not. I can’t think of a better way to share that particular blessing! So I’m a very part-time “pet owner,” so to speak. It’s all I can do.
My daughter is a very talented quilter with the special sewing machine that does the swirly final step. So much time choosing coordinating fabric and all the cutting and sewing together. Truly a labor of love. She is very particular about who gets them as so few appreciate the time and cost for quality material.
I enjoy all of your videos, but I especially like the quilting ones. I sew, albeit infrequently, and I think you are such an artist with the way you put fabric patterns and colors together to produce something beautiful. I also like that you do this for charity fundraising purposes.
I love the grey paisley and the black and white fabrics, that quilt turned out beautifully, hope it raises a lot of money for the animals, thanks Jane and Mike
Dear Jane, thank you for sharing. Your quilting vidéo are my favorite. This quilt is very beautiful. Thank you for what you are doing for these animals in need.

Love this quilt, you put colors together very well! I've never seen so many colorful sheets in my thrift store, what a great haul! I enjoy your videos :)
Gorgeous quilt! Wish I were there to buy a ticket! Thx for the charity haul visit also. The pictures of the cats were so cute. Will certainly visit some of those charity shops next time I am in France. Looks like a treasure hunt which I love!
It is lovely to meet another Jane ❤! Your quilt turned out beautifully. I am currently making a rag quilt for my only grandson. He is 2 years old ♥️. Thank you for a delightful video.
Always love your quilting videos because your materials are always very affordable and I’m not so good I want to spend a couple of hundred on materials - one day perhaps but def not now.
Beautiful quilt! I've quilted off and on all my life. I could never afford a quilting machine ,but did "quilt as you go" and hand quilted with a round frame. I collected quilt patterns and then realized I would never live long enough to make them all! Hand quilting takes a long time.
@@Ravdna do you add batting between your quilt and the sheet backing? (I may have missed that if she said it - I only had a few minutes to enjoy the video) But yes! This finished quilt is beautiful! 👏 🙂 Well done!
Beautiful quilt! I also quilt but I don’t have a nice big machine like you. I usually hand quilt. I just finished a baby quilt for my new grandson and I took it to a local shop for them to quilt for me. I love the rail fence block because it’s pretty easy but packs a visual punch!
I love your choices of colours and the backing is so nice, I'd be tempted to use that quilt upside down once in a while. Is there anything sadder than a quilter who can't quilt any more? Handsewing the binding was my favourite job, and I really liked the planning stage as well. But it took an average of fourteen tries to get the thread through the needle, so when my last quilt was done, I started giving my fabric away. I don't know why I am still hanging onto some very beautiful fabrics, but parting is so hard.
You make beautiful quilts out of mostly thrifted or gifted materials and you have a talent to make it work. Great work 👏👏 from Australia love your channel
❤ Fabulous quilt. You make such beautiful quilts and waste nothing. I am lucky enough to have a quilt that my great grandmother hand made for my mother. I also have a 100% sheep’s wool Batting that my great grandmother made for my mother. My sister and I encased it and tied it for my mother.Twin sized and it weighs a ton. I wish you luck at the raffle and the sale.
This is such a pretty quilt I've gotta bunch of that gorgeous Japanese fabric too. I probably have enough for a quilt now too . Turned out so pretty ❤.
