I’m a crocheter first, quilter second, and have learned to spot AI photos promoting patterns pretty quickly. The patterns NEVER produce the same item and rarely produce a usable item. It’s so frustrating. As a creative person I absolutely loathe AI in the creative space. Might be great for rocket science but hate it for the arts.
AI is just evil! I'm a crocheter and I see so many patterns being sold on etsy and other sites that I can immediately tell are AI, but new crocheters may not know. I hate to see people being duped by these things! I took a quilting class several years ago and we made a lap quilt using the Yellow Brick Road pattern. I loved it! That quilt is now at my parents' house. :) I used to do costuming and had too much fabric left over to just toss it (sacrilege!!) which is why I decided to get into quilting. If someone is looking for a good sub box, I always suggest Annie's. They have several, from knitting and crochet to sewing and quilting. They have a good reputation and I can personally vouch for them, having gotten one of their afghan kits. Thanks for making this video...we need more people to call out these companies that do this.
Also a crocheter who clicked mostly because the animal in the thumbnail looked so AI. It's funny seeing so many other crocheters in the comments- identifying AI has become a necessary survival skill for us, haha.
I once bought some inexpensive fabric from Temu when I was just starting to sew, last year. I saw a Mrs Quilty review several months ago, and the fabrics in the box were the same bundle I'd purchased from Temu. They're fine for what they are, okay quality. Made a cute bucket hat.
Seamstress here! I’ve used those bizarrely thin cottons before for various projects. My guess is that they’re better for giving suit jackets or bags a contrasting lining. I can’t imagine that they’d hold up well under the precision needed for quilting.
As a self-taught sewist, who can take on an intermediate project, the super thin fabric also made me go "Oh, no...OH NO!" Whenever I'm sewing with something super light and thin, I know I need patience because, even with 5 years of practice, those fabrics still never behave how I want them to compared to a thicker cotton or wool. And I mostly make clothes and a minor mistake, like 1 or two millimetres, makes a smaller difference on, say, a skirt waistband or a sleeve cuff of a shirt, than on something like a quilt. I KNOW just how frustrated I would be if I, as an unknowledgeable beginner, took on a project like that and couldn't make it work.
I've used that super thin fabric before to make a lining for a bag! I also had a thin layer of batting behind it, but I used it because the bag was small and so I wanted to minimize the space that was going to be taken up by the lining.
I canceled my box after receiving my first box. I told them I thought the fabric was ugly, thin and cheap. like you it took forever to order with all the pop up. and so when I was canceling I told them exactly what I thought. My Fat Quarter Box is 32 dollars a month and has designer quality fabric in it and 2 patterns that have been tested before being released.
As a new quilter I'm glad you mentioned the fabric. I bought a supposed to be pre cut quilt project and found out it wasn't. Then the directions were confusing to me but I got the top almost done, I want to add borders to make it a little bigger, so I'll have to calculate it. Sorry back to the fabric, I found that the fabric in the pre cut is thin too, I would have never thought about it until you mentioned it. Thanks!
I bought two boxes of Mrs. Quilts before canceling. I am a new quilter and I have been buying my fabric from Jordan’s fabric. I decided for the price of the box I could order the fabric of my choice and I thought the fabric was much better. Live and learn.
You will LOVE Jordan's Fabrics!! They are so helpful and always pleased to help. I've been quilting over 15 years and still watch her videos! Enjoy your new hobby!
I always surge the raw edges of my fabric before I wash it. I leave the selvages alone because they are sealed already. That way if I am washing several pieces of fabric at the same time, they don’t get tangled because there are no threads on them, the serger seals off the raw edge.
Not a beginner quilter but I just ordered one box, got the same one you got. Totally bait and switch. I cancelled by cancelling my payment method to them through my PayPal. So So glad for this honest review!!!!
Yep! I saw another Mrs Quilty review earlier this year that included the same fabrics I had purchased from Temu to practice with when I started learning to sew last year.
I learned to sew, and I mean really sew, by watching TH-cam videos, too. Just going into my local quilt shop, talking to the experts, buying sale fabrics and just practicing is the best thing a young person wanting to learn to sew and quilt can do. They don't need these over-priced boxes. My local quilt shop sells gallon storage bags of fabric pieces, end bolts, for $10 each. Start with a TH-cam video and some inexpensive fabric, and you'll be on your way! Thanks for this video. It was sorely needed.
People really underestimate TH-cam as a resource for learning different crafts in general. When so many people do it and explain it in so many different ways it can be hard to learn how to do a craft from just a booklet or something like that. It's a lot easier to find out what works for you on TH-cam
I’ve thought that box sucked nice day one. I’ve never bought it but watch all the unboxings of it and laugh everytime. I’ve only seen one positive review and I was shocked that that person gave it a good review…just because it was provided free to them. Nope, free or not it was the worst box I’ve seen to date. Thanks for the video and the honesty.
Whoever gave that a good review was probably a sponsorship that wasn’t announced. In any case, they can’t be trusted to do what people watch them for - honest reviews. I always find it a little revealing when people give positive feedback on obvious trash.
I thought it was just me having so many hassles. I actuality was just about to check out with my 1st box and noticed they had me set up for 2 boxes. Then i put off for a day. Came back and they did it again. Then i found your channel. Now i have officially blocked the bombardment of ads. It was so many!! Thank you. You have a new follower ❤
So many TH-camrs have drank the kool-aid and it’s disappointing to see people I respected giving glowing reviews to this company. Thank you for the honesty, it’s so refreshing! Oh and please, no need to enter me in your giveaway but thanks for being generous enough to give it away to someone who will use it!
I have seen several TH-camrs I follow giving a similar review to this one….only two Australian creators that gave it a good review….I have stopped following them 😝
Thanks for commenting and sharing, I also saw a person I respected give it a good review and it really helped push me to do this video, and I'll take you off the giveaway list 😆

I'm from Europe, so never would have ordered this anyway, but I am still grateful to see this sort of honest, unsponsored review, because so far I have only seen a couple of my regularly watched quilting channels gushing about this. I hope lots of people get to see this video before ordering.
Thanks for your review. I agree, don't show me those cute stuffed animals if there is no pattern and/or they are not a figurine. Good luck giving that fabric away, to me it's nothing special and they don't really complement each other.
Unfortunately, this is a review that is spot on! I have seen so many ads for this company and the 6 piece fabric could be purchased from Temu for less than 3 dollars. I appreciate you for being honest.
Thank you for this review. I always thought that the Mrs. Quilty boxes looked kind of scammy, so I always avoided them. Nice to see my instincts weren't far off.
Thank you! I was pulled in by the stuffy shots, but didnt buy the subscription at the last minute, because I realized it was click bait - and that is soo wrong. Thank you for spreading the word
Excellent review. Several quilting influencers have reviewed this box and every single one that I follow has had the same review. I really like your review detail, comparison and demonstration especially with the washing of the fabric. Much appreciated the view of what they show for a pattern and what the actual pattern (cat) received. They showed something similar to a Funky Friends pattern but actually had something more primitive looking for the pattern. I'm surprised they are still in business. Again, thank you.
Wow! I actually did a 3 month subscription and canceled. The fabric looked the same each month just a different color and too many flowers. I was amazed to see this review and all its honesty. Thank you for being real and not trying to remain publicly neutral as so many TH-camrs will be. I wonder if they are worried they will be blacklisted.
Definitely!!! Go to your local quilt shop and ask for help!!! I know of small shops here in Iowa that sell kits that they make up themselves and some even create their own patterns! Look and ask! Find one that you like working with and keep on with them. Ask for whatever types of kits and fabrics. They do listen!!
Also find a quilting group if you can! I joined one and while I'm the youngest by several decades I've learnt so much! Most older crafty ladies are incredibly eager to share their knowledge with younger people
15:45 Honestly it's blatantly AI. Users need to be educated too. It concerns me how many people can't discern a cartoony computer generated image from a photograph.
It's important to remember who this kit is being marketed to. A lot of people who are interested in this hobby are older and can be less aware of AI and the scams
@@quiltingcurvestudio Tbh I can recognize AI in other areas, but as I am not a quilter, I definetly did not recognize the dog as AI. The others with the weird eyes looked fishy, but the dog looked convincing to my eye that is not trained on how quilting should look.
I agree with you on the Mrs Quilty Boxes. I got several months, and canceled. I am 79 and thought the fabrics were (OLD LADY) prints and have not made anything from them. But the fabrics were still OLD LADY to me. Enjoying you utubes already
Sewers club project box has full projects- everything you need and step-by-step video instructions. Every project I've gotten has been doable. Sometimes they recommend techniques that aren't my fav, but their techniques work. And everything you need including thread is in the box.
So..when washing fat quarters I suggest putting zigzag around the edges and put them in a mesh bag. Hand washing is best. Thanks for the video. The best part of your analysis was the review of the instruction and that it wasn't for beginner quilters.
As part of the quilting world, your review was so appreciated. You gave a very thorough and honest explanation and the alternatives you gave were perfect for all quilters not just beginners. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for this Sam. I've been approached by the company to receive a box and do a video, but was skeptical from the beginning and this has confirmed my gut feeling. Thanks!!!
Thanks for your honesty and truth!! Some quilt stores have curated boxes, but the quality is so poor that I've regretted subscribing and unsubscribing to their boxes. Agree, that the projects are not beginner friendly. I've been quilting 40+ years so I feel I am justified in stating that. So many ads are false and misleading. Thank you again for posting this informational video.
I haven’t been a fan of subscription boxes especially because of the notions that are included. I’ve got all the notions I need and the ones included are usually cheaper versions and not the high end ones. Like you said, these boxes might be ok for beginners.
I really appreciate the honest review. I was only interested in the animals that are all the "bait and switch" patterns you talk about in the video. Really glad to see someone with quilting experience explain why a kit isn't going to work for my skill level. I would rather know this up front, rather then after I've failed at a new craft. Thanks again!
I have been quilting for almost 35 years and I actually like the 3” - 1/8” grid in the corner of the 6.5” ruler so handy to trim smaller HSTs and that is the ruler I grab every time, just saying.
I’ve found washing on the handwashing cycle prevents the knotted threads. Also when very wrinkled I spritz with a 3:1 solution of water and vinegar helpful. Awesome quilt behind you and your quilting of it is a masterpiece. Thanks for the review.
Their ad just popped up on my feed, and the picture was so obviously impossible AI that i searched out a review - thank you for confirming my suspicions.
Unfortunately, I fell for it. Just ordered my first box this afternoon. I'm just getting into quilting so it might work for me. Thank you for your honesty.
Great review, love the honesty! I'm not a beginner but I'd hate for beginners to get boxes like this, I think you are right, it would be discouraging! Local guilds and quilt shops for training and supplies are best!!
Thanks for this review of the Mrs. Quilty Subscription Box. As a newish quilter, I would have been unhappy to receive this box. Especially for it to be missing the white fabric needed to complete the projects. And I'm not going to get started on the nonexistenting stuffy patterns.
That material is exactly the same as a little pack I bought from Amazon, mine were 15x15cm...and very cheap...under £7... I have just begun quilting, I've done a few scrappy ones, I only made clothes previously...lots of scraps... I enjoyed your review, I have looked at Mrs Quilty... prior to your review, so glad I didn't sign up. Thank you, from Scotland xx
I’ve been so tempted to start this. I really appreciate the honesty. Im new to quilting but not to sewing, and it’s easy to get confused with placement and machine vs hand piecing. To have a book full of patterns that don’t fit the enclosed fabric and then need additional fabric- no thank you. Anyway, you have my gratitude for your honesty. And since I’m very new to quilting, I could use more practice fabric!
Thank you so much for reviewing this! I've been quite curious about it since I've seen so many ads but haven't been able to find much about it. This answered so many of my questions.
I agree about the fabrics. I got a box a few months ago. I prewashed the fabric and spent days ironing them. 😳😳😳. They were thin and wrinkled like a old apple. It was horrible. 😢
I'm not excited about the fabric. Have two sets of the same fabric would not make me happy. I subscribed to the Fat Quarter monthly box for about 3 years. I really enjoyed the boxes. I couldn't keep up with projects so I cancelled. I still treasure & use many of items I received.
Good to know this information. I have wondered about these types of things. Honestly, I thought they were a little overpriced for some things I've seen when people have shared. I'd rather take your advice. I'm not a beginner, but I think you have wise advice for the beginner. Like you say, a local shop is a good place to look for honest information, that is helpful as well as a quilt guild. There's too many places to get good information and links for good products to purchase. Thank you for the great review.
I’m glad I found your review of Mrs Quilty! I absolutely love the cute patterns of the stuffed animals. I was thinking of subscribing just for the patterns, in fact I wrote to customer service with that request, never heard back. Now I know how they do business and will stay clear. Thank you so much!
Very well done video and invaluable info in general, for beginner or experienced quilters. Your presentation was on point and concise. I’ve experienced too many rambling youtubers who lose me in the first few minutes. I’ll keep you in my feed.
Really great review. You were not too harsh when it came to fabric quality. Once you've sewn for years. You can feel quality. But Most appreciated your openness on their business ways. I abhor AI when it comes to art. Good job!!!! New subscriber!!!!!
Thank you for being honest. I have purchased few boxes from others through the years. When I first started quilting one box was great. Then the next few were full of junky stuff I would never use. So I support my local quilt shop and pick out what I really want and need and they are so helpful. Plus i know it is quality merchandise.
I had looked into it and noped out when I saw the projects. I'm not a beginner quilter but I enjoy subscription boxes because it can push me outside of my comfort zone.
This is why I like companies like Annie's Kit Clubs. They offer several different crafts, and they send you what you need with very clear instructions. It's still a subscription, but you pick what you want to do, and they tell you how many boxes it will take to complete a project of your choosing. I just finished a crochet blanket, but I'm looking at doing a quilt project next.
I received a subscription as a gift and after doing a few boxes I had my sister cancel it. I agree with all your assessments. I wasn’t a beginner but wanted to learn more.
I thank you for your honest review, I just watched another one and they recommended it for beginners, did say is 100% cotton, she does say without saying they are shipped made into the U.S from China. That was all she needed to say for, then I watched yours and another eye opener, I bought some during my beginner season and I have donated them because they are very thin, and you see through all the fabrics. Once again thank you. We need more people to be honest on their reviews.
Hi Sam. I just found your channel tonight. I live in Calgary. Thank you for your honest opinion about this box. I've seen several YT creators show this box on their channels and I've never been inclined to purchase it. I'll check out your other videos.
Thank you for this detailed review. I've seen the ads for the box and wondered if it was worth the cost. I appreciate you talking about the animals too!
I just subscribed to this as well and got my first box. I got the same ruler but no pin cushion. There were some cheap straight pins though. I got sucked in by those cute little critter ads too. I’ve already canceled.
I totally agree with you. Just received my second box.. First box was just like the one you received. It had 18 pieces of fabric. They don’t mention “fat quarters”. Second box has 12 pieces of fabric. Free gift was a plastic tool that helps to push out corners priced at 8.95 and a dried up fushion pen also pried at 8.95. The the entire box and contents smells very musty. And all the emails and special offers😵💫. I hope they don’t give me a hard time . Thx
I agree with you about the absence of the white fabric on the beginner block. I have never quilted. If I bought the subscription for the cute stuffed animals, once I found that I had to buy special supplies, it would have gone on my clutter pile. Thank you.
Thanks for the review! I did get a Mrs Quilty box on a promo price after seeing a TH-camr open one that had fabrics I thought were really cute, and I actually like several of the fabrics you got in yours too, but my box was all shades of pink and I only liked a few of them. No ruler, no pin cushion, just a teeny tiny tin of tea and maybe a half yard of some sort of trim that I doubt I will ever use. The booklet said some chocolate was included too, but it was missing from my box. I canceled my subscription - the price was too high to risk getting mostly fabrics I didn't care for.
Yeah, quilting is a little tricky like that. So many design styles, any one box wouldn't make all people happy. But maybe a more artistic combination of fabrics, like a coordinating solid or large print.
Thank you for the review, I saw the adverts and loved the cute animals , however to me they looked AI generated as even as a very experienced quilter I would struggle to make something like that , they just don't look real . I don't need to be entered in to any giveaway as I have a huge stash , but it's nice your giving it away and hopefully someone who needs it will get it . Great review.
merchandising..is what it is. Thank you for sharing the box opening, saves many from overpaying for items that are a hit-or-miss. It is better to go to a local quilt shop. Those ladies are usually accommodating and willing to answer questions, and you can buy the fabric you love. I am a sewist but relatively new to quilting. It has a definite learning curve. PS I subscribed to you for your honesty.
The appeal of boxes like this is that it low key plays on nostalgia. We all either had or knows someone that had an easy bake oven or grow your own crystal kit or nail/make-up kit. It had everything you needed in the box to do everything at least once. Crochet and knit boxes contain everything you would need for the pattern they provide. I have a $25 a month crochet box subscription. It comes with hook, stitch markers, tapestry needles, and whatever else the pattern calls for. They can do better.
Thank you for this information. I was tempted to get it, but I won't do that. I'm a long time quilter and am sure I wouldn't want those fabrics. I'd like the pattern for the sewing machine that is in your background.
Thank you so much for this honest review. I thought about buying their boxes but was afraid of the quality. You have saved me. I agree that this lack of patterns is bait and switch. Shame on them. They ruin it for many, many people.
I don't sew, but my mother does (she teaches patchwork), and my grandma also used to (at most I can fix my own clothes, but nothing fancy or artistic). I've been able to learn several things about materials, cloth, threads, etc. My mom had taught me the difference between cheap and fancy, and the moment I saw those fabrics, I could tell they were not on the fancy side. Also, I like the way you're honest with your thoughts about this. I'l subscribe, if you don't mind.
Thanx for your honest review. There once was a time I thought about the "mrs. quilty" box, but I decided against it because the fabric was cheap and not my style. I did my research, but now, with your video review, I do NOT appreciate that it is advertised as "beginner" friendly. That also upsets me. I was a beginner once I learned from watching youtube how to quilt. If I got that box as a beginner, I would have quit quilting and been afraid to try quilting again. That's sad we don't want beginners to quit out of frustration.
Mrs Quilty shares the same private residence address as the Hooks And Needles subscription in the Netherlands. Not a warehouse, not an office space, but a freaking private residence that is also shared by many other subscription. companies.
I recently watched a video and saw this box for the first time! I’ve been quilting since way back in the old days of sewing things by hand so st first it looked OK! The price seemed more than reasonable is which should be a clue! Ans then I started seeing videos explaining what the contents res,ly were - and cheap fabric is my #1 do not buy key!!! Thanks o Mich - glad I didn’t fall into this pit!
I sew cloths and one of the tips I got for preventing pre-wash Frey was to go around the edges with your machine. Overlock, serger, zig zag, whatever floats your boat. It’s not mandatory but does save a lot of time detangling things once they’re out the dryer.
Ty. Excellent review. You should do videos on how to review. So many are too personal or not personal enough. What caught my eye was the clever use of a name made famous in the Stanley Kubrick film "Lolita". So the choice of name v lack of quality as opposed to what's promised is spot on.
Your honest review was well thought out and backed by your experiences. I agree and find other TH-camrs reviews to be dishonest. This was refreshing and most welcome!
Yeah, I chuckled at myself when I was editing the video, too 😆. Thanks for confirming the fabric! Did you enjoy working at Liberty? Did you get free fabric ?!?!?!
AI “artwork” being used as advertising or, even worse, being sold as actual patterns (lots of fake FPP on Etsy) is a real problem. Thank you for highlighting this.
Thanks for all your hard work and research! That answers my question of Mrs. Quilty!
YOU ARE THE WINNER! Please send me an email. quiltingcurvestudio@outlook.com

😆😆 agreed
Unfortunately, this is a review that is spot on! I have seen so many ads for this company and the 6 piece fabric could be purchased from Temu for less than 3 dollars. I appreciate you for being honest.
Thank you for this review. I always thought that the Mrs. Quilty boxes looked kind of scammy, so I always avoided them. Nice to see my instincts weren't far off.
Thank you for actually being honest. We need more of that
I'm still in the Facebook group and sooooo many people are still being scammed. It kinda breaks my heart. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Yeah way too many flowers. Thanks for watching.
100% Thanks for commenting it helps others to know where to go and to ask for help.
@happytofu5 that is such a great point!
@@happytofu5 What gives it away for me is the backgrounds, they just feel off but I can't say quite why they do
I agree with you on the Mrs Quilty Boxes. I got several months, and canceled. I am 79 and thought the fabrics were (OLD LADY) prints and have not made anything from them. But the fabrics were still OLD LADY to me. Enjoying you utubes already
I agree totally not new interesting fabrics at all!
Thank you for such honesty. You obviously tried not to be completely negative towards the company and contents. You did a sterling job!!❤❤
Sewers club project box has full projects- everything you need and step-by-step video instructions.
Every project I've gotten has been doable. Sometimes they recommend techniques that aren't my fav, but their techniques work. And everything you need including thread is in the box.
That is so refreshing to hear!
I learned to sew on TH-cam! I think it’s going on five yrs now and I love it. It just takes practice and patience!
Thanks so much for this Sam. I've been approached by the company to receive a box and do a video, but was skeptical from the beginning and this has confirmed my gut feeling. Thanks!!!
Yeah I was excited at first until I started thinking about it, and what it would mean for the community.
Same here. My 6.5" x 24" ruler has them too & those extra markings are often needed
I will totally give them a try!
I’ve found washing on the handwashing cycle prevents the knotted threads. Also when very wrinkled I spritz with a 3:1 solution of water and vinegar helpful. Awesome quilt behind you and your quilting of it is a masterpiece. Thanks for the review.
Great tip! I will totally use that info!
Their ad just popped up on my feed, and the picture was so obviously impossible AI that i searched out a review - thank you for confirming my suspicions.
Great review Sam! Thanks so much for taking the time to walk everyone through your experience.
Unfortunately, I fell for it. Just ordered my first box this afternoon. I'm just getting into quilting so it might work for me. Thank you for your honesty.
The fabric isn't too bad! Just maybe watch some other videos about quilting. You can totally do it.
I got my first box today and the price is great for what I got. I liked all the fabrics I got and the quality is not bad.
I remember seeing ads for this company. Which is odd because i never look up quilting or fabric videos... They just find me.
Maybe it's a sign 😆
How refreshing to see an honest review! Thanks. Love the quilt behind you!
Thanks for watching the quilt pattern is Stitch Happens by Kelli Fanni
That material is exactly the same as a little pack I bought from Amazon, mine were 15x15cm...and very cheap...under £7... I have just begun quilting, I've done a few scrappy ones, I only made clothes previously...lots of scraps... I enjoyed your review, I have looked at Mrs Quilty... prior to your review, so glad I didn't sign up. Thank you, from Scotland xx
Forgot to say that there was 50 square...and yes I have made some blocks... I'm a beginner and I am enjoying it x
Welcome to quilting! There are a lot of fantastic quilters in Scotland. I hope to visit someday! Thanks for watching.
Thanks you for your honesty. The sewing machine wall hanging is just beautiful. Love the quilting
The pattern is Stitch Happens by Kelli Fanni 😃
@@Shelley-pb5sm I agree. I love it!!!
It’s beautiful but it’s crooked! It made my brain itch. 😂😂
@@montanalilac😂
I’ve been so tempted to start this. I really appreciate the honesty. Im new to quilting but not to sewing, and it’s easy to get confused with placement and machine vs hand piecing. To have a book full of patterns that don’t fit the enclosed fabric and then need additional fabric- no thank you. Anyway, you have my gratitude for your honesty. And since I’m very new to quilting, I could use more practice fabric!
I'll be posting the winner October 16th!
This is an awesome review! I too was misled by their ads on facebooks, so tried a box. I canceled the day the first box arrived.
So frustrating eh!
I love the sewing machine quilt behind you!
Thanks the pattern is Stitch Happens by Kelli Fanni
Thank you sew much for an honest review. I’ve seen other TH-camrs who reviewed this box, they weren’t as honest as you. New subscriber
Totally agree with all of your statements. I don't mind cheaper fabrics. But, I respect honesty and hate being misled!!!
I was just thankful I never canceled my FQS Sew Sampler. Best box. Every single month.
Thank you for a very honest review. I'd love to see similar type reviews of other subscriptions and "gimmicks ".
Inhave one coming out tomorrow!
I had looked into it and noped out when I saw the projects. I'm not a beginner quilter but I enjoy subscription boxes because it can push me outside of my comfort zone.
I can appreciate that!
That sounds so great. I actually just reviewed a beginner quilt kit from a small company and am posting the video on Wednesday 😁
I am so glad to have seen your video. I have seen their advertising and have been tempted to purchase a box. I appreciate your honest comments.
Hi! Thanks for joining me. I'm in Grand Forks, BC 😀
Thankfuly you saw the light before so many others have. Such poor business practice!
Thank you for the really honest review! For the close to same amount of $ you can get great quilt boxes like Fat Quarter Shop's Sew Sampler Box
Good for you. Love that you are giving an honest run down of this highly advertised quilt option. Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Thanks for the review. It struck me funny though. You had a measuring grid right under the fabric the whole time you could have used to measure.
Hahaha 😆 yeah. But it was more dramatic with the yellow tape. 🤣
Ha ha! I thought the same thing and I love your reply Sam! 😂
I have never thought subscription boxes were worth the money. Just spend the same amount and get products you want and need.
I have seen this box subscription and had my doubts, thanks for posting the review.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy the quilting side of the sewing world 😀
The appeal of boxes like this is that it low key plays on nostalgia.
Thank you! What you've done here is basically a public service and I am very grateful.
Thank you for this information. I was tempted to get it, but I won't do that. I'm a long time quilter and am sure I wouldn't want those fabrics. I'd like the pattern for the sewing machine that is in your background.
Stitch Happens Quilt by Kelli Fannin 😃
This has been great. I have been curious about Mrs Quilty but never looked into it because I don't need fabric.
Thank you for your honesty I thought something was wrong with me because I was not happy with what I got!
Not a warehouse, not an office space, but a freaking private residence that is also shared by many other subscription. companies.
Thank you for the review. I have seen similar so thank you all. I was tempted but not anymore
You are so welcome!
I sew cloths and one of the tips I got for preventing pre-wash Frey was to go around the edges with your machine. Overlock, serger, zig zag, whatever floats your boat. It’s not mandatory but does save a lot of time detangling things once they’re out the dryer.
Thanks for the tips! I will definitely be using one of these ideas next time 😆
Thank you for the review!!
I wanted to start getting the boxes because of the cute stuffed animals. So happy I saw this video first!
Yes! I'm happy too!
Thank you for taking the time to truly evaluate this, you saved me lots of aggravation!
I found the boxes smelt funny when opening. So much so that I put contents into plastic tubs.
9:25 I dry my fabric in the dryer by placing it in a undergarment net bag which cuts down on the fabric knots and tangles
Yeah thanks! Some people also suggested to surge the edges. Thanks for the tip!
Ty. Excellent review. You should do videos on how to review. So many are too personal or not personal enough.
What caught my eye was the clever use of a name made famous in the Stanley Kubrick film "Lolita".
So the choice of name v lack of quality as opposed to what's promised is spot on.
Thank you, thank you, thank you my dear!! You have done the honest work for me.
You are so welcome
Your honest review was well thought out and backed by your experiences. I agree and find other TH-camrs reviews to be dishonest. This was refreshing and most welcome!
5:00 you’re on a measuring board😂 & yes, having worked at Liberty of London as Head of Global fabric sales, can confirm those are printed bundles.
