USF for me was an amazing experience. If you want a quiet space, check out Lone Mountain. Absolutely desolate with campus police maintaining this sense of security.
@@ItsIndiraChannel Then again it isn't for everyone, I graduated in 97. I studied Accounting. I've been in Tech startups ever since. I guess it's all timing.
yooo totally agree with you had a very similar experience went for my freshman year and loved my classes but the overall social vibe was awful not worth all that money
I attended USF back in the 80s. The tuition was a fraction of what it is currently, and many of us could work our way through school. Also, The City and student body were very different than today. Most of students were Catholic school kids, and came from The City or Bay Area. We had a lot in common, so it was easier to get along with people. I've got to do some research regarding student body metrics, but it wasn't that crowded when I attended. You're totally correct regarding the cost. I never recommended USF to my son, or my nephew or nieces. The quality of the education hasn't increased over 10x, as had the cost of attending, so where's the money going? That's true of nearly all unis, so I can't hang that all on USF. As to your point regarding a low key Greek system, USF IS a catholic uni, and it's not at all unusual for religious unis to either ban Greeks, or put them on a very short leash. That was certainly true during the time I was there, and the Greeks were so much less of a presence than at Stanford or Cal. Maybe it's because I was a guy, but I had a great time exploring The City, going anywhere, everywhere with my GFs, or buddies, or many times, by myself. I can see why a female would be reluctant to do things by herself in any city, so that's probably why our social experiences were very different...
sorry for the late reply! totally agree with you on all your points and honestly as ive gotten older ive realized that you don't need school for a lot of good paying jobs. That their are programs that you can do now and it's wayyyy cheaper than going to college and getting a degree.
hi! i found your channel from your ‘What it’s really like going to college in SF’ video and your other videos are very entertaining i just subscribed!! im curious, what is your dream school?
In your own words, what would’ve been the better fit for you? Like what is your ideal environment? Some people might find that sort of environment you’re describing desirable. Very thorough video though!

Just transferred out of USF after 2 years, feel you.
yeah it can be rough sometimes
I was there from 2016 to 2018. Perhaps we were at USF at the same. I just recall the time when students were driving Ferrari's and Lambos.
lol
You were bored in the middle of San Francisco?
this is when i was 19 and i couldn't drink so yeah at the time it was pretty boring and didn't have that much money at that time either

Thanks for subscribing! And my dream school would be a ivy school. I feel that is where I would most thrive.

That University sounds lame as hell
It just wasn’t the right fit for me and I should have done more research. Lol
