Thanks for your review! I had the luxury of having two available in the same store. I was able to compare them. One had the compass misaligned just like it's represented here. The other was perfect. I was lucky I had the option to see them in person and to choose.
Mines number 812! I love the dial it looks entirely different in different lighting. Sometimes it looks like flat red and other times it looks almost rusty.
Thanks for the review. Understand why it an Australia watch release base on the red desert. Sad to see for the cost of the watch, the compass is not lining up correctly.
Mine is number 450. The dial is really the draw here, and for someone who thinks it wears too thick on the wrist, its because you have to wear in the band before it will sit flat. The fact that the compass directions don't line up perfectly is just a really typical Seiko thing. Remember we're talking about a mass market watch here, not some $50k rolex.
it's not a Rolex, but it's also not a cheap watch at $1,200 they really should be doing better, especially for a thousand dollar watch. I love Seiko but their QC is practically non-existent. apologising for them and excusing their flaws is not doing anyone any favours.
It does wear too thick compared to the sarb017, it’s because of the caseback. They should have just kept it closed and flat. Rolex is still mass market, doesn’t excuse seiko QC/quality being bad. Though the compass markings have never lined up on any alpinist lol
@@gogono2 it can change depending on the lighting situation. Under my studio lights it has more of that burnt red colour, but in the sun it becomes very vibrant.
I have the Green 💚 it's dutiful.
I like GMT model but the price very high 🤯

@@tomp.214 It's very dynamic and simply stunning.
Love that red dial, thanks for the video!
Misalignment is not acceptable on an expensive piece. The dial is wonderful.
Just ordered one. This is my favorite range!
Own the watch as well, made a review and we share the same points. Congrats on the new pickup
Just got mine today, number 999/1000. The compass is miss lining as well (worst than yours)

Mine is nuber 85 the dial has to be seen in person it is stunning
@@micklawler4691 it's amazing in person
What a nice red!
@@Frubber It looks incredible in the sun. I will make sure to get plenty of shots to showcase its beauty for the full review.
Damn, that looks good!
@@Vox-Populi definitely does
can you describe the red? Its looks like a burnt red or a garnet??
