    I was diagnosed w focal seizures + put on keppra. But EEGs/MRIs found nothing. So i tried an experiment of going off meds + after 6 days, my wife video recorded a seizure when i was asleep. Now i am convinced of the seizure + back on keppra 😂

    I am a 62 year old male with no previous epilepsy history and no known family history.
    In 2019 I was diagnosed with exertional syncope after 2 seizure episodes brought on by being unable to breathe after exerting myself, at the time I was diagnosed with COPD and Asthma.
    Then nothing until early 2021 when I started getting dejevu episodes and then had a seizure after being exposed to gas. I then contracted COVID and had another seizure around March 21. Since then in 2022/23 I have had 3 unprovoked seizures the last being on Tuesday past 26/9/23. These seizures are getting closer together they have no obvious triggers.
    They are putting me on to Lamotrigine, I would prefer to remain drug free, I already do a Keto diet leaning towards carnivore, any advice help etc. would be appreciated…🙏🙏🙏thank you

    i was diagnosed with PNES and FND seizures due to my brain not being able to process stress the same after trauma by a neurologist. my neuropsychologist said they caught misfiring in my nervous system but not enough to create an epileptic seizure as a whole. some of my seizure symptoms include turning my head to the side, fast blinking, and mouth twitches that appears like a tonic-clonic while going unconscious. i am getting a 2nd opinion for focal epilepsy. do you think this could still be PNES? everybody else say my seizures do not appear non-epileptic

The parents agree for a surgery to install the VNS but at the same time the child must continue to take about 5 types of medication. The worst is the epilim.Whenever he take he vomit out and all the medication comes out.Then the Neorologist insert atube through his nose and now the parents are giving the medication through the tube,which he feels the medication.But the worst thing he lost all epitite.We has to give him very soft diet and soup.He have turn very skinny. Now he is 5 yrs old and we are very worried. His Seizure is still there but very seldom he falls but very often he feel tired and he just sleeps.After watching your video I would seek your advice how we can help the poor child.

    Can 'benign centrotemporal epilepsy' be a reason for a full body seizure (generalized) seizures in children?

      Yes

    • @sharsha11
      @sharsha11 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My daughter (7yo) has had a first seizure incident, followed by an EEG which shown spikes in activity in the right temporal part of brain (not center, so can't exactly say its benign, as per our consulting doctor) - Brain MRI was normal. The diagnosis suggests introducing ASM to prevent future seizures as she is now considered in the higher risk category :(. We are a little worried to introduce medication at a young age itself.

      All the reading on BRE or SeLECTS mostly suggest partial seizures as being common, hence my earlier question to you.
      That said, still torn on whether introducing medication is the apt thing to do (wondering)
