These brothers were the kings of harmony and musical geniuses. They all had phenomenal vocal range and song writing skills with over 1000 hits. Barry is 77 this year and unfortunately the twins Mo and Robin have both passed as has their younger brother Andy. They took turns at lead. All had distinctive voices and totally different but they harmonized perfectly.
With a total of thirty-nine albums, song writing catalog of over 1,100 songs you might want to start a Bee Gees Playlist because every song is a masterpiece. I have 141 super favorites and all the rest are just favorites. They don't ever disappoint.
Too much Heaven, Fanny be tender with my love, More than a woman, Staying Alive, Jive Talking...greatest group ever! Brothers Gibb...Barry is the super handsome lead in this song with Maurice, with beard, Robin, without, non identical twins. Barry is the only brother still alive. You won't run out of hit songs.
Barry lead in this song is the older brother and fraternal twins Robin, long hair no beard and Maurice shorter hair. How Deep Is Your Love was a #1 hit on Billboard Hot 100. It stayed 17 weeks on the top ten. Bee Gees wrote over 1000+ songs for themselves and other top artists. Please react to TOO MUCH HEAVEN, their harmonies are out of this world, that was a great reaction, thank you. ❤❤❤
The tall one is Barry Gibb. Of the 4 brothers the 3 younger brothers have died youngest to oldest. Barry is the only one left. A few years ago he celebrated his golden anniversary to his wife Linda.
Barry is the oldest, and sadly the only surviving Brother Gibb. BG … Bee Gees. Born England grew up Australia, made hits in 60s moved back to England had more hits broke up, regrouped had more hits, went disco and became the biggest thing in music 1978. Wrote dozens of other 80s artist’s hits, came back in late 80s. Worldwide acclaim for 40 years of a wide range of music.
The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too th-cam.com/video/7niXSh7vWRI/w-d-xo.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: th-cam.com/video/WH_j90fCIk4/w-d-xo.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out th-cam.com/video/vfHUS5Mf00Q/w-d-xo.html. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: th-cam.com/video/MT9vRHSWNbk/w-d-xo.html. From the 1960's I've gotta get a message to you th-cam.com/video/CA4CInDnTk8/w-d-xo.html. And from the 1990's the simple song Blue Island live in an accoustic version: th-cam.com/video/162GlAEpfrY/w-d-xo.html.
Who is this guy? 😂😂 It is sooo cool when such talent reveals itself to a new unsuspecting audience. And yeah. That guy is one of the most successful, prolific and talented songwriters, producers and singers of all time. Just ask anyone over 50 and they know. Its the iconic and legendary Barry Gibb. Still alive. Still topping the charts in 2021 with his collaborative Greenfields. Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, Alison Kraus, Olivia Newton John, Tommy Emmanuel and Jason Isbell? particpated.
They had their first performance when Barry was 9 and his younger twin brothers Robin, long hair and Maurice, (pronounced Morris), other shorter one with a beard were 6. Their mother discovered that they were singing in perfect three part harmony when she went to have them turn down the radio. It wasn't the radio.
Barry is the only one left alive. Baby brother Andy died of heart complication in the 80s, he sang solo. Maurice of a post-surgery error, and then Robin of cancer, both in the early 2000s. Barry is now 76, I think, and pretty much spoils his grandkids.
Hi Church Guy! You will be amazed as your journey continues with this fabulous group of brothers 💜 they have such a catalog - over 1000 songs! Yes they are the Real Deal so sit back and enjoy cuz you have entered the Bee Gee Zone lol thanx for your reactions 💜
Bad brother there is Barry Gibb and he's got a high falsetto voice and his brother Maurice also has a high falsetto voice and then Robin has a pretty high voice but he's got a really unique voice but you'll want to hear all of them saying they are all Great lead singers and you know how good they are when they harmonize together. So the three brothers are Barry Gibb Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb
You've probably heard their song Staying Alive. They have a much younger brother Andy Gibb. His first three songs hit number one. I Just Wanna Be Your Everything.
Barry, the lead, reached on the table to a pot of hot tea that fell on him. He was scalded and in the hospital for almost 18 months. There was no skin graft back then. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Barry said he does not remember, but he has the scars on his torso and his arms to prove it. You can see the scars on his chest in the video 'Too Much Heaven.' YES! Those are their real voices!! I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive th-cam.com/video/fNFzfwLM72c/w-d-xo.html Closer Than Close th-cam.com/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/w-d-xo.html One th-cam.com/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/w-d-xo.html You Win Again th-cam.com/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/w-d-xo.html For Whom the Bell Toll th-cam.com/video/jTowyYFXIUY/w-d-xo.html Spirits (Having Flown) th-cam.com/video/ONmVEJnxysc/w-d-xo.html Bodyguard th-cam.com/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/w-d-xo.html Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) th-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/w-d-xo.html (Destiny Child's cover has too much drama. But Barry liked it.) Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) Andy Gibb th-cam.com/video/eH686Dyy16w/w-d-xo.html At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2. Tidbit of info: Barry and 4 other singers will be the recipients at the Kennedy Center Honors Awards in December 2023 for their contribution to the entertainment center. I'm quite sure he will be a bit teary-eyed wishing his brothers were there to celebrate the occasion.
If you embark yourself on a musical trip with the Beegees, you will be truly amazed. They dominated the disco era, and the pop music in general. Lead singer is Barry Gibb, the oldest of the brothers ( they are 5 brothers) and sadly the only one that still alive.
I bet you've heard Staying Alive. You just didn't picture the people singing to look like this. I love reactions to it. I hear "You mean they aren't black!" It's priceless.
They are really all baritones who learned they could also sing falsetto! They have written over 1000 songs for themselves and other popular artists like, Dionne Warwick, Dianna Ross, Celine Dionne, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Pardon, and many others! Barry is the only one of the brothers still alive, he will be 77 September 1, 2023. His brothers were twins, Maurice ( pronounced Morris) died in 2003 complications in surgery for a twisted colon. The other twin Robin died from cancer in 2012. They also had a younger brother who had a solo career, Andy Gibb died at age 30 in 1988. He sounded a lot like Barry when he sang! Their older sister Leslie can also sing but chose not to have a career in singing, she is still alive and lives in Australia!
Dont worry about names now my man. When your down the Bee Gees rabbit hole you will know all their names when you come out the other side. I was a kid in the 70s so I grew up on this. They are funky soul from another dimension sent to enlighten us mortals.
You must try their song Too Much Heaven. And you likely know Staying Alive and didn’t know it was them. Brothers sang together since they were small children in the 1950s. 5 decades of hits!
Barry is the only one living. You won't be disappointed goimg down the rabbit hole of the BeeGees. I've read everything about them. Followed them since the early 70's. ❤ Other artists always mention that their songs make since.
I have loved the Bee Gees since 1970, though they have been recording huge hits since 1958 or so. Your going to love the rabbit hole you just fell into, because one song is never enough!
Great reaction! You really need to check out “Too Much Heaven” and “Fanny Be Tender With My Love”. You would definitely add these to your personal play list. These brothers have it all!
bee gees (Brothers Gibb) The oldest that you pointed out is Barry with younger twin brothers Maurice and Robin. They have written numerous songs for other performers, but never learned to write music. In the 1970's the 'walk' or the 'strut' was a big thing and their music hit it just right. Barry is still alive, but the brothers have since passed. Barry hits high notes consistent ly but also has a lower range. They started in the 1950 as boys, hit the disco scene with power, oh what a great time the disco era was. They also had a younger brother, Andy who was a solo singer, but passed in the early 1980s from drugs. Also, I'm a new sub to your channel. Thanks for checking out the Bee Gees one of my all time favorite!
I'm glad you mentioned they're walking this song Because if you want to see the walk in a complete great song you need to listen to the song Staying Alive they even talk about their walk in that song.
Good day. Glad you have discovered the Bee Gees which are in a totally different realm of musicologists. By the way, i think its the other way around, the Winans song tomorrow sounds like How Deep is Your Love by the Bee Gees...i researched when you said that, and found that the Winans released it in 1984, the Bee Gees hit was in 1977, 7 years before. So no doubt that intro in Winans song is like the beginning of How Deep is Your Love. Good review on your first song from the Bee Gees.
They had an interesting childhood. As boys often do, they were a bit 'busy' in their youth. One day, they stole a penknife from a store. Barry told them either they would grow up to be thieves, or famous. He threw the knife into a stream. (It was called something else because of where they lived.) Barry was the ladies' man. His mom said he would carry rings in his pockets and give one to whomever was his girlfriend for that time. Robin liked to set fires. Maurice just liked to film them. He was quiet and didn't like trouble. He wrote a song called, 'Man in the Middle.' In most of their childhood videos, he is not in the pictures, but behind the camera. The were so busy, that their mom said the constable (police officers) advised them to move or her sons would be sent to reform school. There are so many videos about their childhood through adulthood and their music career.
I suggest you start with their oldest songs from the 60s, And then move through the decades to see how their music progressed and how wonderful their talent is.
Barry does most of the leads, with Robin second lead. They've said each will come up with the sound, first, not lyrics, and bring it to a group meeting or send it to each other. From what I can tell, whoever thinks it up, usually has the lead. They have written an insane amount of music, 1000+ in their catalog, and have written for other artists. Barbra Streisand, Kenny & Dolly did Islands in the Stream, Dianne Warwick...
Patty-I was in high school when they came out in1967. I loved them then and i love them now. The kead singer is Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb is the one with the long hair and Maurice Gibb., pronounced Morris. They are brothers. Robin and Maurice are fraternal twins. Barry is their older brother. Unfortunately, Robin and Maurice have passed away as did their youngest brother, Andy who had a solo career. Barry is the only one left. He is still recording records.
There were 5 Gibb siblings. Only the two oldest are still living, oldest, Leslie Gibb Evans, and then Barry. Leslie was part of the group for awhile when Robin left the group for a few years. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, also had a short, but spectacular music career, he passed away at age 30...Then Maurice was the next to pass away (he was the youngest of the twins, by 35 min), then Robin was the next to pass away.. Andy has a daughter named Peta, Maurice had a boy & girl, Samantha is a singer now too. Robin had 4 children, his son, RJ is a singer, Barry has 5 children and I believe 2 of his boys are singers. Leslie, she lives in Australia w/hubby and a Lot of children. Both parents, Hugh and Barbara have passed too. NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE...APPRECIATE YOUR REACTIONS
Lead singer in this one is Barry. All three brothers are equally talented, and all three sing lead. Barry is the oldest and only surviving brother. Their catalog is extensive...39 albums, 22 of them studio. You know this group...listen to "Stayin Alive", you will recognize it. Also check out "To Love Somebody" which they wrote for Otis Redding. He was scheduled to record it the week following the plane crash. Have a listen to "Too Much Heaven", "For Whom The Bell Tolls", "Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)", and another one you'll recognize, "You Should Be Dancing". You're gonna love these guys. I don't think they ever wrote a bad song.
This is one of my favorite songs ever but one of my favorite groups ever. This is my first time stumbling upon your reaction. Since your church boy a suggestion I have for you is Queen somebody to Love 1981 Montreal I'll say no more cool reaction
Barry Gibb does this lead, with fraternal twins to each side. They have a huge catalog. Try Wind of Change, the lyrics need to be known on that one. I prefer the studio version.
The blond brother, Maurice, is the bass player!!!!❤ Lead singer is Barry Gibb. They’re all Gibb’s! Family harmonies are the best, right? This song came out in the mid ‘70’s and was with many other BeeGee songs, featured in “ Saturday Night Fever”. Barry is the only surviving brother. Even baby bro Andy is gone. 😢
They wrote over 1,000 songs they’ve been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Song Writers Hall of Fame. They wrote hits for other artist to. Just Amazing Group
The lead singer is Barry Gibb Is twin brothers Is Maurice Gibb And Robin Gibb there's another one his name is Andy gibb He unfortunately died of an overdose Depression But he wishes beautiful as Berry Thank you God-bless
The only one still living is Barry, the one singing lead. He usually sings lead, but not always. The long haired clean shaven one is Robin & he sings lead on 'I started a joke'. The 3rd brother is Robins twin, Maurice. He sings lead on 2 or 3 of their songs like 'Lay it on me'. Sadly, the twins are gone. Have you tried one of their fun songs like 'Stayin' alive' of 'Jive talkin'?? They also had a younger brother Andy Gibb who sang solo, although they also sang backup for each other, as you would hear if you check out Andy's music. I like his song 'Shadow dancing'. He sounds like his brothers, too. The brothers Gibb. Genes are amazing aren't they?
Love your reactions. You would also like Love so Right, Emotion (with Samantha Sang), More than a Woman, Nights on Broadway, Winds of Change, All This Making Love, and Love You Inside and Out! I hope you review them!!❤❤❤
@churchboy5827 You said the beginning of this song sound like the Winans Tomorrow . Well, The Bee Gees song was released in 1977. The Winan’s Tomorrow was released in 1984…so….guess the Winan’s song sounds like The Bee Gees!🤣👍🏾
Now you need to check their brother Andy Gibb: shadow dancing, I want to be your everything. You also need to check out their children in the Gibb Collective with Please Don’t Turn Out The Lights!!!!
That's the Gibb brothers the oldest and only surviving brother is Barry who you were asking who he was the other two are twins Maurice and Robin they also had a baby brother Andy who sadly was the first to pass away at young age then followed by Maurice then most recent Robin both from the ugly disease called cancer
Really like your videos so far! So many original observations and personal touches. (May I kindly point out that sometimes you cut the song before the very end.)
Stop comparing them to somebody else. These are the beegees, they're their own sale. The originals the dilegends, the b j's and everybody has soul. Black music just don't have soul. All music have soul if you listen to It wow. Just by being black don't mean you have soul

You should listen to "Too Much Heaven" by the Bee Gees
Fanny be tender with my love! Is a must listen. Harmonies!
That is in my top 3 favs of their sings!!❤
Dont worry about names now my man. When your down the Bee Gees rabbit hole you will know all their names when you come out the other side. I was a kid in the 70s so I grew up on this. They are funky soul from another dimension sent to enlighten us mortals.
You must try their song Too Much Heaven. And you likely know Staying Alive and didn’t know it was them. Brothers sang together since they were small children in the 1950s. 5 decades of hits!
That is now one of my favorite songs.
Great radio voice on you there my man
Barry is the only one living.
Barry the oldest brother and the lead singer. Robin , Maurice and Andy have passed away. Barry and an older sister are still living.
I have loved the Bee Gees for years, I am glad you are getting into them now too.
Great reaction! You really need to check out “Too Much Heaven” and “Fanny Be Tender With My Love”. You would definitely add these to your personal play list. These brothers have it all!
You have opened my eyes! Thank you!
If YOU really wanna hear "GREAT HARMONY" react to the Bee Gees song "Too Much Heaven". It's a Song you will play over and over again.
I'm now in love with that song.
bee gees (Brothers Gibb) The oldest that you pointed out is Barry with younger twin brothers Maurice and Robin.
This is the song that introduced me to them a few months the ago. I went down that rabbit hole and I still haven’t found my way out YET!!! 😂😂😂
I'm glad you mentioned they're walking this song Because if you want to see the walk in a complete great song you need to listen to the song Staying Alive they even talk about their walk in that song.
That falseto voice of barry is amazing😮
So smooth and effortless! Like he was born for it.
I can not believe a man of your age is not aware of the BeeGees
I grew up with these music it still feel good ;)72 so i was a baby but it came back and back again because it was so smooth
Such talent and soul!! Soar with the angels!! Andy, Mo and Robin!!❤👽👽🛸🛸🛸🫶🏾🫶🏾

Boz Skaggs. Look what you've done to me. Live to check out the background singers, last 10 seconds of the song!
This is one of my favorite songs ever but one of my favorite groups ever. This is my first time stumbling upon your reaction. Since your church boy a suggestion I have for you is Queen somebody to Love 1981 Montreal I'll say no more cool reaction
You DO have a beautiful baritone- SING!!!!!!
This was the first of many they wrote and sang fir the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack. These guys wrote all their songs plusbmany fir others.
“TOO MUCH HEAVEN” reaction pls.
Barry Gibb does this lead, with fraternal twins to each side. They have a huge catalog. Try Wind of Change, the lyrics need to be known on that one. I prefer the studio version.
Love your vibe. It puts me at ease - great way to slide into a song 🎸🎸🎸
The blond brother, Maurice, is the bass player!!!!❤
Lead singer is Barry Gibb. They’re all Gibb’s! Family harmonies are the best, right?
This song came out in the mid ‘70’s and was with many other BeeGee songs, featured in “ Saturday Night Fever”.
Barry is the only surviving brother. Even baby bro Andy is gone. 😢
He did a duet with Barbara Streisand that is amazing!
Nice ... You've probably heard the Bee Gees do 'Stay'n Alive' but not recognized it as them.
Maybe the meme you mentioned is for their song “Stayin Alive”
Video here : th-cam.com/video/I_izvAbhExY/w-d-xo.html
The twins are both dead now. They all had amazing ranges and falsettos.
That's sad... They are amazing together!
This song is from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, I think. They unintentionally heralded in the disco era.
They wrote over 1,000 songs they’ve been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Song Writers Hall of Fame. They wrote hits for other artist to. Just Amazing Group
Their "Still Waters " album is my favorite. Very much an R&B sound. Dim the lights, close your eyes, and feel it.
Well come to the gift of the brothers gibb...
Sir Barry Gibb, with brothers Maurice and Robin.

👍🤛💪
Yeah this before the Wynanns
They are brothers not the pretend ones, but blood brothers
Barry Gibbs 4/25/23
Really like your videos so far! So many original observations and personal touches. (May I kindly point out that sometimes you cut the song before the very end.)
Please react to Bee Gees “Fanny Be Tender”
Tomorrow by Winans is great, I hear the similarity
😎👍
Stop comparing them to somebody else. These are the beegees, they're their own sale. The originals the dilegends, the b j's and everybody has soul. Black music just don't have soul. All music have soul if you listen to It wow. Just by being black don't mean you have soul
That's barry he is old one they are brother
Lead singer is Barry Gibb and the other two guys are his brothers Robin and Maurice
