I know it has been some time since you posted this video. My Mini2 is doing the same thing, but I can't even get it to be recognized in the DJI Assistant 2 Software. I guess I will have to return it back to DJI, although it seems funny that this happens right after the warranty has expired.
THANK YOU! This video fixed my problem - I didn't know about the DJI assistant 2 software which I installed and used to correctly update the firmware on my DJI Mini 2. I had the red blinking status light and solid battery LED's #1 and 4. I followed the normal firmware process in that program and luckily didn't need to do the hack mentioned in this video. But I didn't even know about the assistant software until watching this video, so thank you again!
my mavic air 2 is giving the error 30064 and I don't know what else to do it doesn't take off and doesn't even give a signal. can you do it on mavic air 2 too?

I can tell the community, I've NEVER had any issues with loss of connection, before and after updating, although when flying distances of 4 to 5 km with my MINI2 ! And that in a 'not easy' surrounding in Switzerlands difficult and mountaineous countryside. So I wish you the same: easy droning with this really capable little monster 👌

Regardless of whether people are having issues, its a really useful tip on how to downgrade / update firmware using the DJI assistant. I'd updated and not noticed any issues however I've not done anything more than a few hundred metres since updating - so out of interest I've tried to downgrade just to see how simple it was. Thanks for the video - very informative.
I guessed exactly who you was referring to, so went and checked out his video...... he certainly gave you a bashing there! On reading his subscriber comments though, it appears a hell of a lot of them are now suffering the same issues, although he doesn't answer those? Hi Gavin, I found the same in distance and video feed. My distance dropped by half with the new F/W version. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought that DJI had reduced its RF Power capability. I took your lead and figured how to do the mod for DJI Assistant 2 on Mac IOS. All good now. Right Click DJI Assist 2 to 'Show Package Contents' Contents\MocOS\defaultsettings.ini = change 'upgrade_enable=0' to '1'. Enjoy.
Excellent Gav, nice to see your putting out helpful content, the other site you mentioned?.........He's just a DJI fan boy and barks on about his drone has no issues and he's sick of people saying there is an issue...........how can he possibly state people are not experiencing issues, crazy!!!
The funny thing is that he consistently bangs on about how he wants a firmware update to address his own gimbal issues. My gimbal has always been fine with every update, so by his own logic he's whining and lying for clicks.
Literally typed a reply 3 times now haha! Yes it's very crazy! Too many people are reporting an issue for there not to be one. The silly thing is, on the video on question Gary at around 3:22 I think it was you can see the video lag clear as day and immediately just after and they switch to camera feed both times to hide it.
Downgraded today, flew at local beach to just over 1,000m with very little signal loss though did have some slight camera jitter, Upgraded back to most recent and got to just over 500m and lost signal, managed to get back ok but looks to me like newest upgrade needs looking at as some of us ARE getting problems:(. I would have sent video but sadly, I forgot to hit the record :( I will be doing a rerun in the near future and will do my best to remember to hit record. I have had problems since the recent upgrade and some thought it was just something I was doing wrong but your help in up/downgrading has given me something to work with. I will send vids of next test as soon as I have them
I've been flying my updated Mini 2 out in the open field and as far as I can tell, there's been no signficant decline on my signal. Still the same. But if some people are experiencing connection problems I hope DJI gets to have it fixed soon
After speaking to dji about range issues they sent me labels to send it in for a look, a few days later they sent me pics of damage to rear arm and top cover with a bill for nearly 200eu. My drone was undamaged when sent, just range probs. Be very careful if you send it in...
@@GAVINHR I told them that it was only sent in because of range issue and that it had no damage, they sent pics back of dated droneand if I wanted it repairing it was going to cost me. I sent pics of it flying the day I posted to them (undamaged) and they said they would do tests to check if it had been crashed (negative result) Still had to pay or have it back broken.. I will never buy from them Again!! I have the messages that were sent both ways but it boils my blood to read them again. Long reply, sorry 😞 end result= I paid, drone due back tomorrow.. still fuming 😡
Thanks very much for posting this. Having suffered severe connection issues since upgrading to V01.03.0000 my next step in trying to fix it was to wind back the firmware, but I didn't know how. I got excited once I saw your video and followed your advice straight away, confident that I would be back to flying successfully. However, the connection issues remain, aaarrrggghhh! Back to the drawing board for me, but thanks again for this very useful info.
Great video... what a life saver. I use Linux so I tried the Assistant app using wine🍷 but I couldn't connect to the drone. I ended up using a Virtual Box with Win 10. Enabling usb on vbox can be tricky too. But it worked!
Works on a Mac just have to dig around to find the file. Not had any problems with disconnection yet but happy to know I can downgrade if necessary. Thank you for the info
Just did the step by step,but only got the newest firmware on listed not a list of old firmware like you got.Maybe i did something wrong or it doesnt work anymore.A bit disappointed wanted a roll back version.Your videos are easy to follow thanks.

Thanks again for this video. I noticed my drone seemed to be playing up , with more glitches since the latest update, so have just rolled back to previous version. I just got to 100% transmitted when my laptop crashed for some unknown, so lucky it all worked when restarted my drone. A few second earlier, it may have been a different story, so next time i do something like this , i will use my desktop which hopefully wont crash on me .
Great info. I am one of the ones who suspect there might be a range issue after the latest update. ( can't get by 250m range at 100m without loss of signal and RTH on the exact flight route as I have used loads of times without any issues on previous firmware ) Will give it another week and if things still look iffy with the latest firmware I will downgrade using you rinstructions

Gavin, Thank you for the quick response. I am connected with the cable - it just will not link.... I'll try again and send a screen shot. It says aircraft not connected to RC, when I try to re-pair - it goes through the process and than an error saying re-pairiing unsuccessful... The Blue light flashes and goes steady - but no pairing. Additionally I also fail Flight Mode switching process. I removed the DJI Fly app and re-installed couple of times.- I have an OnePlus 6t mobile/ As a result of the above - I did not reach the stage where I can look through the drone's parameters to see software / firmware revisions and all the other parameters. Kind of frustrating.....

As a newby flier, 70 plus, I've always updated as per the dji fly app instructions. So far so good. Haven't yet had any issues but haven't yet flown it a great distance, too scared to lose it at the moment. Great videos like this aid the likes of me in understanding this great little drone. Would appreciate a video how to have the flight details recorded on the video so I can learn better from my flights. I'm on Android and a PC. Thanks again Gavin, glad I subscribed.
Hi Paul thank you for watching. What I would suggest is you sign up for a site / app called Airdata UAV - you can set it to sync with the DJI fly app and you will find it utterly fascinating all the data it collects! Give it s go and let me know what you think!

Hey! can you help? I wanted to change the flight parameters on dji mini se through the dji assistant 2 v1.1.2 service menu, but the program does not see the drone. Or maybe you know how to call Dev Tools on assistant 2 consumer drones series dji?

I have 1 question.. my drone turned of in a middle od updating (52%).. but on phone screen was updating to 100% I turn on the drone and it looks like all is fine😮 how is this possible? If it’s working it’s working would be the way I see it, there would be no mark plugging it into DJI assistant 2 and just refreshing the firmware just to put yohr mind at rest
My camera avd gimble were destroyed I just deleted them in hopes of running my GoPro on top and now it won't even take off lol anyway around this will it work if I firmware downgrade or whatever it's called ?
Hey everyone good morning. Question Gav or anyone else that can answer. I have not upgraded to the new firmware version 01.03.0000. The only reason I am considering it, it's because of the Battery issues BUT I have NO Problem taking out the batteries from the charging hub or my Drone and only using them when I am bout to fly.......My question is if the Batteries are NOT stored in the Hub would I still have that issue ?
Hi Gavin. Thanks for the helpful tutorial. I have the fly more combo and 2 of the 3 batteries won't update to the latest version. The update keeps failing. Do you (or anyone else reading this) know if rolling back the firmware and then re upgrading with each battery in the aircraft will work?? Any assistance appreciated
Hi there, try refreshing the firmware first using this method, after which after you update a battery you need to do a full cycle - power off the drone and controller and close down the app, put the new battery in then start it all again and it should update
Not even just roll back but upgrade also! I had an issue with my mini 2 after the last update and it was giving that N/A against the firmware and wouldn't update and this helped me update to the latest version
Hi Rick, well I only recorded that last night and poor weather today! I think even the air 2s would be away with the fairies if I put it up in this wind! No I've left my mini 2 on the older firmware until I do a test on it :)
Nice find. It will be interesting to see if the downgrade works better for those having issues. I've not had any, so far, myself. Just a fiy, you can run notepad as admin to edit that .ini file, to save having to change the file permissions.
Which firmware is the best and most stable firmware for my mini 2? I rolled back my fly app to 1.4.4. Which firmware would go hand in hand with the 1.4.4 flyapp ver.
Very informative video, thank you! Per your instructions, I modified the Assistant 2 and stopped at the point of actually doing the downgrade. If DJI doesn't give us a firmware update to restore lost signal strength in a week or so, I'll do the downgrade. Thanks again!
My Mini 2 was showing my firmware as N/A. I contacted DJI support and they explained where I had to change the "0" to a "1" actually in the spot you indicated in your video. However there were two "0"s that I changed to "1"s as per DJI. If it was not for your video I would have been stuck. Problem sorted GREAT VIDEO!! I was so frustrated prior to watching your video I nearly sent my Mini 2 back to DJI for them to deal with it. I have an additional question prior to my firmware going to N/A within the DJI Fly app I could start my motors in low light conditions, now I cant. That is unless I provide a light source using a flashlight in dark conditions and shine it at the drone. I take it one of the sensors is picking up that light. I recall clicking on something in the app to permit the motors to start in low light months ago. Is there a way to reset it to enable the motors to start in low light conditions?
@@GAVINHR Hi Gavin, haven't been on PC much but been watching videos on smart TV, sadly can't comment or "Like", made up for it now. I did a test flight this morning and all seems well except when the gimbal is pointing down there was a few times when it "kicked" and it was quite noticeable. Hopefully DJI will get another update sorted to fix the previous one. Then we will need another to fix that one, and so on and so on.............................. Just a quick question, do you format the card in your PC or the drone?
Good info and we'll done on finding/working out the workaround.👍 The only fly in the ointment (there's always one) is, this doesn't downgrade the firmware in the remote. So, if they have altered anything ocusync wise within the RC you can't roll that back. 😢
You can actually downgrade firmware on the controller also using this software it was only the mini 2 firmware they didn't allow for some strange reason
@@GAVINHR I know you can normally, just wasn't sure your 'hacked' method would allow it Do you plug the RC via USB into the PC to downgrade or will it downgrade from the package in the aircraft?

I had continuous random disconnections with my Mini 2 (also at 5-10 meters distance), so I've decided to downgrade to previous firmware and I hope this will solve my frustrating problem). I've just finished the procedure with DJI assistant using my mac (I've modified "defaultsettings" file in the Mac app folder, same procedure as Windows). I have just one question: considering that with the latest firmware (01.03.0000) also batteries received an update, what happens with them with a downgrade to firmware version 01.02.0300)? I have Fly more combo version, so 3 batteries with latest firmware with intelligent discharge. Should I have to flash older firmware 3 times (every time with a different battery, or should I forget about this aspect? I've also connected and checked remote controller for a possible downgrade to previous version, but DJI Assistant showed only the latest firmware version (04.11.0016) and no possible to do any downgrade. Any further comment? Should I fly safely now or I risk anything considering the above mentioned procedures performed? Once again thanks for the wonderful job and for your suggestions!!!
Nothing happens Andrea! The batteries stay the same and they still auto discharge. Controller firmware is totally fine, maybe if you are on Android use 1.4.8 ( 1185 )

I'll do a fly test tomorrow (I hope weather will be sunny and without wind) and will see if these disconnections will be finally solved. Fingers crossed as at the moment I'm using my Mini 2 as a paperweight as I'm scared to fly unsafely losing commands randomly (especially in urban scenarios). I'll let you know soon the outcome.

As of this writing after experienced a lot of issues with the new update and reading lots of comments that the culprit is the .8 update, I wanted to downgrade to 1.4.4. Thanks for this tutorial/hack. Been looking for this so badly. 🙏

love the video but I need more help. I have been following what to do step by step but when it ask me to conect the drone nothing happens on the computer just continue to say conect drone. now when I plugged the drone into computer, the computer beeps but the screen continue to say conect drone. is there a software I need so my computer can recognize the drone. need help going on vacation to Greece on the 16th and my quick shot not working from last update 1.6.4 I need 1.5.10 back
Just tried the hack on a MacBook and it worked there too, maybe even simpler to do as I used the text editor Emacs to change the ini and no fiddling with permissions was required, (I think) though a terminal text window did appear needed a password authorisation but I am not sure if that was in connection with installing the Assistant or the change to the ini, Either way I now see updates etc. etc..

I am deaf so using subtitles, at 11:30 ish they say "11:26 controller 11:28 support but what seems to be the 11:31 possible culprit 11:32 as to many people receiving a parrot 11:35 signal 11:36 so guys i'm just going to put my " "parrot" makes no sense to me, can someone please tell me what he actually says? I'm thinking of hacking it but I'm not sure yet.. but before that I'd like to check the drone board by doing an upgrade.. I connected the drone to the assistant but it only allows me to upgrade to the latest version which basically locks the possibility for hacking.. ..so is there any way to be able to upgrade to a version before the last one for example on 02.04.2190 ??? i m very confused..

Do you know whatever firmware version is needed to keep the cc/fcc hack from Beyond active. Because after the update they dissabled the Fcc mode so you still are able to set distance to unlimited. But the output power is not Fcc.....

Great stuff, thanks! The rollback is only for the drone so just wondering about potential compatibility issues with the transmitter and Fly app? I guess it won’t be possible to rollback to being able to switch charging on phones/tablets on/off to rule out interference from always on charging. Also great to rollback firmware while the files remain on DJI’s server :)
From my knowledge there was no firmware update to the controller so no problems expected and can be left on the current version. Also the DJI fly app came after the firmware update so again should be no issues with 1.4.4. :) if you could find an older APK for that app version you could of course bring it back
Good points ;) I wonder if anyone has measured the effective radiated power from the antennas before and after the recent upgrade. This would show if power has actually been reduced. If it hasn’t interference from the phone charging circuit could be the issue. I expect there will be zero db gain from the antennas so should be around DJI’s specified output power, whatever that is.

Hi Colin, did you make sure you downloaded the correct version? It is DJI assistant 2 for consumer drones otherwise it won't work

Those worked great. I'm on a Mac and the comments were lifesavers. I'm hoping that this will let me get rid of the pesky gimbal 44100 error.

I would have sent video but sadly, I forgot to hit the record :( I will be doing a rerun in the near future and will do my best to remember to hit record. I have had problems since the recent upgrade and some thought it was just something I was doing wrong but your help in up/downgrading has given me something to work with. I will send vids of next test as soon as I have them
I've been flying my updated Mini 2 out in the open field and as far as I can tell, there's been no signficant decline on my signal. Still the same. But if some people are experiencing connection problems I hope DJI gets to have it fixed soon

After speaking to dji about range issues they sent me labels to send it in for a look, a few days later they sent me pics of damage to rear arm and top cover with a bill for nearly 200eu. My drone was undamaged when sent, just range probs. Be very careful if you send it in...

@@GAVINHR I told them that it was only sent in because of range issue and that it had no damage, they sent pics back of dated droneand if I wanted it repairing it was going to cost me. I sent pics of it flying the day I posted to them (undamaged) and they said they would do tests to check if it had been crashed (negative result) Still had to pay or have it back broken.. I will never buy from them Again!! I have the messages that were sent both ways but it boils my blood to read them again. Long reply, sorry 😞 end result= I paid, drone due back tomorrow.. still fuming 😡
Thanks very much for posting this. Having suffered severe connection issues since upgrading to V01.03.0000 my next step in trying to fix it was to wind back the firmware, but I didn't know how. I got excited once I saw your video and followed your advice straight away, confident that I would be back to flying successfully. However, the connection issues remain, aaarrrggghhh! Back to the drawing board for me, but thanks again for this very useful info.

Great video... what a life saver. I use Linux so I tried the Assistant app using wine🍷 but I couldn't connect to the drone. I ended up using a Virtual Box with Win 10. Enabling usb on vbox can be tricky too. But it worked!
Works on a Mac just have to dig around to find the file. Not had any problems with disconnection yet but happy to know I can downgrade if necessary. Thank you for the info

Thanks again for this video. I noticed my drone seemed to be playing up , with more glitches since the latest update, so have just rolled back to previous version. I just got to 100% transmitted when my laptop crashed for some unknown, so lucky it all worked when restarted my drone. A few second earlier, it may have been a different story, so next time i do something like this , i will use my desktop which hopefully wont crash on me .
Great info. I am one of the ones who suspect there might be a range issue after the latest update. ( can't get by 250m range at 100m without loss of signal and RTH on the exact flight route as I have used loads of times without any issues on previous firmware ) Will give it another week and if things still look iffy with the latest firmware I will downgrade using you rinstructions

What error are you getting ? This is the most basic issue but are you plugging the right cable into your phone? That's a mistake lots make

I am connected with the cable - it just will not link.... I'll try again and send a screen shot. It says aircraft not connected to RC, when I try to re-pair - it goes through the process and than an error saying re-pairiing unsuccessful... The Blue light flashes and goes steady - but no pairing.
Additionally I also fail Flight Mode switching process.
I removed the DJI Fly app and re-installed couple of times.- I have an OnePlus 6t mobile/
As a result of the above - I did not reach the stage where I can look through the drone's parameters to see software / firmware revisions and all the other parameters.
Kind of frustrating.....

As a newby flier, 70 plus, I've always updated as per the dji fly app instructions. So far so good. Haven't yet had any issues but haven't yet flown it a great distance, too scared to lose it at the moment. Great videos like this aid the likes of me in understanding this great little drone. Would appreciate a video how to have the flight details recorded on the video so I can learn better from my flights. I'm on Android and a PC. Thanks again Gavin, glad I subscribed.

Hey! can you help? I wanted to change the flight parameters on dji mini se through the dji assistant 2 v1.1.2 service menu, but the program does not see the drone. Or maybe you know how to call Dev Tools on assistant 2 consumer drones series dji?

I have 1 question.. my drone turned of in a middle od updating (52%).. but on phone screen was updating to 100% I turn on the drone and it looks like all is fine😮 how is this possible? If it’s working it’s working would be the way I see it, there would be no mark plugging it into DJI assistant 2 and just refreshing the firmware just to put yohr mind at rest

Hey everyone good morning. Question Gav or anyone else that can answer. I have not upgraded to the new firmware version 01.03.0000. The only reason I am considering it, it's because of the Battery issues BUT I have NO Problem taking out the batteries from the charging hub or my Drone and only using them when I am bout to fly.......My question is if the Batteries are NOT stored in the Hub would I still have that issue ?
From everything I'm aware of this was about when stored in the hub / drone. Take them out and no problem 🙂

I have the fly more combo and 2 of the 3 batteries won't update to the latest version. The update keeps failing. Do you (or anyone else reading this) know if rolling back the firmware and then re upgrading with each battery in the aircraft will work?? Any assistance appreciated
Hi there, try refreshing the firmware first using this method, after which after you update a battery you need to do a full cycle - power off the drone and controller and close down the app, put the new battery in then start it all again and it should update

Not even just roll back but upgrade also! I had an issue with my mini 2 after the last update and it was giving that N/A against the firmware and wouldn't update and this helped me update to the latest version

Hi Rick, well I only recorded that last night and poor weather today! I think even the air 2s would be away with the fairies if I put it up in this wind! No I've left my mini 2 on the older firmware until I do a test on it :)

Nice find. It will be interesting to see if the downgrade works better for those having issues. I've not had any, so far, myself. Just a fiy, you can run notepad as admin to edit that .ini file, to save having to change the file permissions.

Very informative video, thank you! Per your instructions, I modified the Assistant 2 and stopped at the point of actually doing the downgrade. If DJI doesn't give us a firmware update to restore lost signal strength in a week or so, I'll do the downgrade. Thanks again!

Does this work on the DJI mini 2se
My Mini 2 was showing my firmware as N/A. I contacted DJI support and they explained where I had to change the "0" to a "1" actually in the spot you indicated in your video. However there were two "0"s that I changed to "1"s as per DJI. If it was not for your video I would have been stuck. Problem sorted GREAT VIDEO!! I was so frustrated prior to watching your video I nearly sent my Mini 2 back to DJI for them to deal with it.
I have an additional question prior to my firmware going to N/A within the DJI Fly app I could start my motors in low light conditions, now I cant. That is unless I provide a light source using a flashlight in dark conditions and shine it at the drone. I take it one of the sensors is picking up that light. I recall clicking on something in the app to permit the motors to start in low light months ago. Is there a way to reset it to enable the motors to start in low light conditions?

@@GAVINHR Hi Gavin, haven't been on PC much but been watching videos on smart TV, sadly can't comment or "Like", made up for it now.
I did a test flight this morning and all seems well except when the gimbal is pointing down there was a few times when it "kicked" and it was quite noticeable. Hopefully DJI will get another update sorted to fix the previous one. Then we will need another to fix that one, and so on and so on..............................

The only fly in the ointment (there's always one) is, this doesn't downgrade the firmware in the remote.
So, if they have altered anything ocusync wise within the RC you can't roll that back. 😢
What about the batteries ? They were updated too, with the last firmware.
@@sptrader6316 They will not be a problem since it only altered the self discharge algorithm.
You can actually downgrade firmware on the controller also using this software it was only the mini 2 firmware they didn't allow for some strange reason

Do you plug the RC via USB into the PC to downgrade or will it downgrade from the package in the aircraft?
I've not done it yet myself but I believe it's the usb in to the pc then the assistant 2 detects the device

Thanks a lot for thew great Tutorial Gavin! I had continuous random disconnections with my Mini 2 (also at 5-10 meters distance), so I've decided to downgrade to previous firmware and I hope this will solve my frustrating problem). I've just finished the procedure with DJI assistant using my mac (I've modified "defaultsettings" file in the Mac app folder, same procedure as Windows). I have just one question: considering that with the latest firmware (01.03.0000) also batteries received an update, what happens with them with a downgrade to firmware version 01.02.0300)? I have Fly more combo version, so 3 batteries with latest firmware with intelligent discharge. Should I have to flash older firmware 3 times (every time with a different battery, or should I forget about this aspect? I've also connected and checked remote controller for a possible downgrade to previous version, but DJI Assistant showed only the latest firmware version (04.11.0016) and no possible to do any downgrade. Any further comment? Should I fly safely now or I risk anything considering the above mentioned procedures performed?

Nothing happens Andrea! The batteries stay the same and they still auto discharge. Controller firmware is totally fine, maybe if you are on Android use 1.4.8 ( 1185 )

I'll do a fly test tomorrow (I hope weather will be sunny and without wind) and will see if these disconnections will be finally solved. Fingers crossed as at the moment I'm using my Mini 2 as a paperweight as I'm scared to fly unsafely losing commands randomly (especially in urban scenarios). I'll let you know soon the outcome.

As of this writing after experienced a lot of issues with the new update and reading lots of comments that the culprit is the .8 update, I wanted to downgrade to 1.4.4.

The app version is an issue with crashing / black screen but the signal issues are 100% related to the firmware. Thank you for watching

The Mavic air 2 is supported by the DJI assistant so you don't need to do any of the modification just open it up and it will work
@@GAVINHR It won't let me rollback to earlier versions unfortunately. I have read up about this since I asked the question and DJI have put a block on rollbacks since 01.01.0610
Really useful info. Much appreciated. Haven't flown much at all with latest firmware, and when I did, it wasn't more than some 300' distance from home spot, plus it was out in countryside away from any possible transmission reception interference.
love the video but I need more help. I have been following what to do step by step but when it ask me to conect the drone nothing happens on the computer just continue to say conect drone. now when I plugged the drone into computer, the computer beeps but the screen continue to say conect drone. is there a software I need so my computer can recognize the drone. need help going on vacation to Greece on the 16th and my quick shot not working from last update 1.6.4 I need 1.5.10 back
Just tried the hack on a MacBook and it worked there too, maybe even simpler to do as I used the text editor Emacs to change the ini and no fiddling with permissions was required, (I think) though a terminal text window did appear needed a password authorisation but I am not sure if that was in connection with installing the Assistant or the change to the ini, Either way I now see updates etc. etc..
Since the update ive been getting a gimbal calibration error 40011 I should try this. Will it harm the DJI Warranty ?

Yes indeed as far as I was aware personally there was no update to the controller. So it should just be a drone update

I'm thinking of hacking it but I'm not sure yet.. but before that I'd like to check the drone board by doing an upgrade.. I connected the drone to the assistant but it only allows me to upgrade to the latest version which basically locks the possibility for hacking.. ..so is there any way to be able to upgrade to a version before the last one for example on 02.04.2190 ??? i m very confused..

Did you download the right version? You specifically need the version for consumer drones and need to edit that file in my video for or to work

Do you know whatever firmware version is needed to keep the cc/fcc hack from Beyond active.
Because after the update they dissabled the Fcc mode so you still are able to set distance to unlimited.
But the output power is not Fcc.....

The rollback is only for the drone so just wondering about potential compatibility issues with the transmitter and Fly app? I guess it won’t be possible to rollback to being able to switch charging on phones/tablets on/off to rule out interference from always on charging. Also great to rollback firmware while the files remain on DJI’s server :)
From my knowledge there was no firmware update to the controller so no problems expected and can be left on the current version. Also the DJI fly app came after the firmware update so again should be no issues with 1.4.4. :) if you could find an older APK for that app version you could of course bring it back

I wonder if anyone has measured the effective radiated power from the antennas before and after the recent upgrade. This would show if power has actually been reduced. If it hasn’t interference from the phone charging circuit could be the issue. I expect there will be zero db gain from the antennas so should be around DJI’s specified output power, whatever that is.
