Wow! Quel plaisir de revoir le divin Philippe Jaroussky, aussi dans l’enseignement. MERCI
I would love to hear this singer singing the whole aria
Superb! Jaroussky's masterclass is about going beyond perfection!
Amazing.
So beautiful 👏♥️♥️♥️
Impressive!
He is absolutely amazing teacher too! I was already in love with him as singer and now as teacher! Bravissimo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️💯( by the way, the singer has a beautiful tenor voice! )
Wow~!!!!!!
precisely vibrato is one of the natural components of developed adult voices that allows the muscles to relax during singing, makes the voice sound above the orchestra and does not seem like the still sound of a horn, it has always been an important parameter in the opera. Why are there people who insist on destroying voices sounding like a midi piano?
This tenor should do anything but listen to this teacher.
This mannerism of straight tone turning into vibrato is borrowed from musical theatre and pop music. It is perfectly appropriate there and belongs there. It has no place in opera. Also, the student is ruining his tenor voice listening to advice about head resonance and mask singing and all that. Tenors sing in chest voice pretty much through their entire range. Without a strong chest voice, there is no squillo. Without a strong chest voice, even the head voice becomes weak and disembodied.
Totally agree with you. Insisting on horrible masky straight tone singing - that isn’t opera! He’s destroying his voice like that 😅
i wont talk about the mask resonance thing, but i think art is universal, and it should not be limited by any mean. borrowing one or two techniques from other genres is perfectly OK as long as the very core of opera is still the center of ur singing. remember, operatic singing techniques changed A LOT throughout the history
I find the Tenor sounding much better before this "advises" then after, with this unnatural non vibrato "straight tone'. I agree with the idea of maximum possible relaxation on the face and feeling the sound around the lips, but when it came to this straight holding back tone, and he liked it - here he lost me...
That straight tone only engenders constriction. The student's voice is constricted and nödely, what he needs is to OPEN HIS THROAT and release the air. Mask or placement technique doesn't provide freedom, and it destroys wonderful voice. Go back to the great belcanto tradition!
Bad singers should not be allowed to teach and pass on their bad vocal technique.
