Extremely useful information! Got a RAM Promaster. I just had a bad engine mount diagnosis from my trusted local mechanic on my Promaster van. Huge relief as I thought the noises were coming from inside the engine!
I have a 2006 sienna and I have a clunk sound every time I accelerate and sometimes when I break that could be the motor mount? I replaced the whole dry train. Everything is brand new except the motor mounts.
Oh I think I definitely need a engine mount replaced but I also I’m hearing like this deafening vibration in my car every couple of minutes while driving at any speed but at a low speed you can hear it the loudest in the car but it’s deafening like if you’re sitting in the car it Makes you want to roll down the windows so you can hear something else if that makes sense and I don’t know what it is and every mechanic I go to doesn’t know what it is either but it’s deafening though like when it makes that noise that’s all you hear from the inside
This sounds exactly like what I have …my car just hit 100k miles Honda accord and there’s this loud vibration noise that comes and then goes away at slow speeds
I've a 1990 Corolla and it drives good but, when I'm accelerating it feels normal and when I stop at a red light it starts shaking/vibrating. I have to put it on neutral and the vibration of the dashboard stops once it's on neutral. Do you think my car has a bad engine mount?🤔
@@TruthShallPrevail4i did though i went to the garage today for the same problem as you guys.. like standing still and the car acting like its gonna exploade 😂.. it is indeed the motor support or the motor mount idk hoe to say it..
I have a 2008 ford focus i was doing repair for the inner front axel boot and the part that is supposed to be covered is slightly touching a part of the suspension or frame idk but its a big enough of a problem that im not able to put the boot on
My Chevy cruze does this when my car is in drive or reverse with the air or heat on but no noise when air and heat is off it runs fine what would that be?
My kia sportage is making like grinding noise when you come to stop. If you Rev it up noise is going and I can see my Engine kind of move when you put it on drive or reverse.
I have a Honda civic Ex 2012..I recently had all the mounts changed and now when I'm on idle , the engine is louder , it's louder when I'm accelerating over 70 too. Before I didn't really hear anything as bad as it is now
If you're using aftermarket mounts, they tend to do that. For Honda/Acura, you have to use OEM mounts 100% for fluid filled mounts. You may get away with aftermarket rubber mounts.
I reckon it can cause damage to your manual gearbox , I have had a bad shift issue into 3rd gear I have replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders out with new ones and still get crunching in 3rd . I think it's my engine and gearbox mount's.
I have a 2002 ford f-150 xlt 5.4L triton v8 and it makes a buzzing noise in the back of the engine bay near the passenger side and I think it’s either a hose or a motor Mount not too sure tho if anyone has any information it would be appreciated

Wow thank you! Had all the symptoms and yes those mounts are no longer rubber and they are cracked.
Useful information! A refresher is never a bad idea
Very useful info! I have a 2013 Honda Civic that vibrates more like when going up a hill, not so much at highway speed.

It’s because TH-cam is watching you

If you have warranty take it back ASAP. Sounds like they missed something. Good luck. I have to do the same with my Toyota.
Do it cause the car to jump also?
Does this potentially hurt my transmission?
Yes it can cause damage to the shift cables and maybe CV joints. It unlikely to cause damage to the transmission internally.
Exactly what’s happening to me breaking cv axle

Will it vibration in steeringwheel at 110km/h ?
If that's the only time you notice it, the first thing I would do is have your tires balanced and have them check for any bad belts along the treads.
