I am glad you're doing well. This is my fear every time I think of moving to Liberia. My husband and I were literally traumatized by your story. Something as simple as UTI can not be treated. Happy belated birthday.
Thank God for you, just bad for brothers and sisters in Liberia with limited or no resources and opportunities. My friend is a nurse in Boston and travels there frequently to help provide services, surely wants to help more, thanks sharing.
Thanks for sharing your story. Every time I went to Liberia, I always received a boil. It is very strange. Both times were very bad experiences. I hardly ever get them where I am from. When you are in Liberia, you just have to be more careful. Sanitation can be a bit lacking in some areas over there. I don't really like to use public restrooms in Liberia. I guess it depends where it is at. We just have to be careful with wiping and doing other things.
Madam Joy, I am glad you're better. Medical treatment is very expensive. I live in Australia, for some reason my shins and feet swole up and it was painful. I spent $750 on a variety of tests and scans and at the end they said they didn't know what the cause was. I find out later by doing my own research that I was deficient in certain vitamins that caused my body to not handle carbohydrates properly. I needed vitamin B1, magnesium (pumpkin seeds) and potassium. The swelling and pain went away and the cost is a fraction of what I spent. Even if people had savings the cost doctor's visits and misdiagnosis can cripple you financially. This will be even more devastating in developing countries.
Happy Birthday, ma! Glad you’re doing well. Did you get yourself some cranberry juice? You know, the tart kind? It helps to dislodge the bacteria from the uterine walls.
First here. It's good to see you. The poor healthcare system in Liberia is why some of us have resolved to retire elsewhere. I praise God for your healing. Happy birthday, sweetie.🎉🎉🎉 Thank God for the USA.
Joy! Thanks for sharing your personal health story which will benefit others. Glad you are healed. Your decision of going back to LIB, is YOUR decision! People are always in someone else’s business! Stay smart! Happy Birthday Beautiful! You look Amazing! God will continue to bless and protect you and your family! ❤
I don't know you; because of your courage to inspire fellow Liberians at home in commendable. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers 🙏. We pray for absolute healing. Regards
Happy Birthday!! Glad to see you back. God is so good you pulled through and feeling better. Maybe those were not stored right or had expired. In Liberia everything goes without checks. Blessings Sis.
A belated happy birthday, Joy. 🎉🎉 That you're doing well pleases me. Not because the doctors are inexperienced, but rather because their drugs may not be up to par, is what I'm thinking. How can it be resolved is the question.
Thank you. I agree. The doctor that I saw @ Jahmale was excellent. She could only prescribe meds based on the labs that she had and what medicine was available. Honestly, we would need a complete overhaul of the meds to get started.
Getting sick in Liberia can be a nightmare!!! Over the last three years I visited and would spend so many months back home in Liberia. But sadly felt sick on my most recent visits. The lack of proper care, wrong medication (and on top, unprofessional and lack of customers service) it’s doing its worst and causing people their lives in that country! Mind you i was admitted to one of the local hospitals(won’t say their name yet) on the highway at midnight, and they did their worst!.. Before finally going to Jahmale for further checkup (Ultrasound). I didn’t go any further with Jahmale after but they have a good team going on for them, outside the others I’ve experienced. Tired of all, I had to fly out of there asap! Meanwhile I had an Ectopic Pregnancy going on and it was at its peak to rapture!! But they all couldn’t specifically figure that out. Jahmale said it could be a structure of ovarian cyst; while the other said their own piece of God knows what!! I was in the most worst pain of my life for many weeks, until I came back and got a laparoscopy surgery done exactly two weeks today! Still recovering but I’m so thankful to God for life. Could have been wayyy… different if I had spent another week in Liberia or who knows underwent surgery there!
You're freaking me out. I had to stop the video and ask, What do you mean when you say "now you're on 3 different antibiotics"? I thought you were supposed to stop the one you were previously taking to commerce the new one prescribed by the doctor?
I am glad you're doing well. This is my fear every time I think of moving to Liberia. My husband and I were literally traumatized by your story. Something as simple as UTI can not be treated. Happy belated birthday.
It's a shame that we can't get proper medical care in our own country.
Thank God for you, just bad for brothers and sisters in Liberia with limited or no resources and opportunities. My friend is a nurse in Boston and travels there frequently to help provide services, surely wants to help more, thanks sharing.
Thank God you were able to get treated. It is so sad for those Liberians that can not afford and have to died from simple sicknesses.
It truly is sad for the average Liberian who can't afford to leave and get proper treatment. Thank you for watching?
Happy birthday ! Wishing you a long life filled with love , health and prosperity ❤

So happy that you are feeling better and creating awareness of the problem; unfortunately there isn’t much that can be done. So sad.
Thank you cous!

Happy Birthday, ma! Glad you’re doing well. Did you get yourself some cranberry juice? You know, the tart kind? It helps to dislodge the bacteria from the uterine walls.
Thank you! Thank you for watching. Yes, of course I tried cranberry juice and other homeopathic treatments. Nothing worked.

That is so scary. Had it ruptured, we would have been talking a different story. I'm thankful you were able to leave and get the proper treatment.

Meaning, by now, I had been on 3 different antibiotics. Of course, I ended one to begin a new one.
