I am really glad to share with you about people that are assisting you for whatever they are doing for you . I would like to encourage you to politely tell them your expectations when it comes to cleanliness. It appears that they are not mind readers.
When it comes to people's expeditions from you. Again, please be clear with your people that there are things that you can do and other things that you may not be able to do for them. Communicate, communicate, and communicate. Wish you well!.

I think I should have added in the video that this security has been with me for almost 3 years and is very aware of my standards regarding cleanliness. We have had discussions multiple times. I keep him because of all the security we've had, he's the best.
The whole point of the video, was that even knowing my standards and getting something free from me, he still didn't feel obligated to clean up after himself.

I heard your examples, most of those behaviors has to do with upbringing and exposure. That’s how these people had live for generations. For those of us who have lived in the west will tend to appreciate things people do for us.

I agree with that. However, it's also an unwillingness to do better. This same security has been told over and over to put his trash where it belongs.

I'm so impressed with the playground! I was so sure you imported the whole thing from the US. Excellent craftsmanship!

Our people have serious problems with cleanliness. I have the same problem when I am there. My house was so dirty, very dusty, and in poor condition. Just imagine,

Great job to you and your husband on your project. Very proud of you guys. On the entitlement issue, I agree with you. People take your kindness for stupidest, One they have no Commerce sense of cleaning. And if the do clean, they want you to pay them for doing it, they will do nothing free for you. Keep up the good work ❤❤

Thanks for the great information and you didn't say the location of the property and you did the right thing by not allowing the gentleman who was collecting money for himself instead.

8:30 So true. I to experienced this from a few people during my visit to Liberia. I had to respectfully explain to them that I wasn't there to continually give handouts, but to empower the people to strive for self-sufficiency🙏🏾

Sometimes I think is from years of remittance and aid being sent. An entire generation may not know or understand work ethic and self sufficiency.

Education and Class: as grounding, always take the point of view, (when dealing with certain individuals) that they are not "MEASURING UP" to expectations. Explain and express yourself - as the boss, ...in a polite manner - of course. However, Never allow them to frustrate nor stress you, because people operate from the perspective of their understanding. (If they don't get it, that is strictly on them!!!)
Keep Your Focus on the incredible things that you are doing.
    ❤ ❤

Look my sister you are not wrong that is the reason I, don't bother with any of my family i, can't stand the attitude that you have to do it for them one thing i, know we have to build our own community in Liberia to teach our brothers and sisters in Liberia how to clean and behave better.

Thanks Joy and continue the good work. Regarding our People, I don't understand them, I will never understand them and I'm not trying to. Someone that's trying to help you is the person that you will try to make an a.....off? Does it make sense? But as mentioned earlier, they believe in their mind that they are entitled to. Trust me, you are not along. Just know when to draw the line

No home training that’s all. Either no parents or no dad around. Like you said not everyone behaves like that but more soo the mindset is poor and don’t care attitude.

Very interesting topic, and thanks for sharing. I agree it’s not the whole country but my goodness most of them really feel entitled. My siblings and I are experiencing the same issues with our property the “caretaker” that is living in the house rent free took it upon himself to build another house on the property and renting it out without even asking.
Our plan is to break it down, the next time he will have the respect to ask.
Nice progress on your home Joy.❤

Never dance to the tune of a bully. That Dude who come asking for money, tried to bullied you into giving your money to him. Sounds like a hustling scammer. You did the right thing. If people think they can twist your arm or manipulate your emotions in order to get money, ...they Do Not Deserve to get it from you. 😅
    Keep that in mind Sister.
